I have a question how often do you need to clean the katana if its a dull one and you rarely use it?
Question does the katanas come with a stand?
Can I pay Tanjiro katana
@@mailaby-4807there’s only 3 cleaning cloths, do they have to buy a new one every time
Do you sell it to turkey i just want mini enma
For the 500 people asking if this applies to dull katanas, yes it does.
thank you so much
Lifesaver
thx
how about mini katanas?
@@goofyart129 no those are for aesthetic purposes which means you can display them with the blade exposed ,it will still get dusty but you can just use a micro fiber cloth
You single handedly gave me a reason to get a job and move to my own place as soon as I can. My parents thank you though they do not know this or who you are.
Hey, congrats
Did u get what you wanted? @hawkborat
How is it going? Made any advancements in the year since?
Actually yeah, after a series of unfortunate events (like actually) I've gotten settled in a new place and should be starting a job soon
Hope your achieving your goals.. best wishes
If you’re uchiko ball runs out of powder apparently household flour is a good solution and should be sprinkled lightly. You can also used a microfibre cloth when applying sword oil.
What do you do with the first cleaning cloth once it’s dirty is it ok to keep reusing it or is there a specific way to clean the cloth?
It’s ok
Depends on how dirty it is? My guess is if it's really all dirty then get a new one? Or clean I guess
you clean it with a cleaning cloth cleaning cloth
Then idk
get another
You guys should make more long vids because there are a lot of things that are needed to keep a katana in good condition
Well they're not exactly the most accurate or knowledgeable and they get quite a few things wrong so is it really surprising there's plenty of videos from Japanese swordsmiths that explain how to do this much more in depth and without the need of having to make repeat purchases as they will give you examples of adequate replacements for the cloths and oil I'd highly recommend listening to them over the people trying to upsell you
General knowledge is good to know, but it seems like a lot of these have a complete coat of paint on them and wont rust unless the paint is gone.
Don't you have to take them apart if water gets into the grip?
my sword is gonna arrive soon and I was wondering were to look on how to clean my katana and what to use. then I check my email and see this, you guys really thought of everything I appreciate it lol. I cant wait for my blade
Same, my blade coming this month, a very late but worth it bday gift
@Caiden Play Z no answers rip
@Caiden Play Z hard choice but rengoku also check out my rengoku edit czcams.com/video/btFkjPg_oY0/video.html
@Caiden Play Z hope u like it and leave a comment!
did you have to buy a stand seperate or did it come with the katana
With how much katanas this guy owns, imagine all of the cleaning he has to do.
Pay people to clean it 🤯
@@-ella-bear-7802 it'll be hard to find a person who is 1. going to deal with real katanas, 2. is experienced with katanas.
It’s not just him it’s all of them he’s not the only person in mini katana so he doesn’t have to do it by himself
He doesn't use all of them at a time tho he cleans them after a video if he has used that and it keeps a separate timing and makes it easier
That’s what I’m thinking, unless there all dull and the only sharp ones are the ones they don’t have in dull. And whenever he uses them he swaps for a sharp one
Thanks really useful I just got a rengoku sword and I and super excited to get it today and I did get a cleaning kit so that will be useful thank you for existing I love your swords they are soooo cool!!!
a beautiful weapon deserves beautiful respect
I'm all about history and seeing the amount of love and care so many samurais had for their weapons always amazes me
This is the most chill I’ve ever seen anyone on this channel
This video was very helpful because I was worried how I was supposed to properly clean my katana. It was my first time cleaning it so thank you very much for making this video.
Thank you this was so helpful!
Beautiful video!
Hi
Can there also be a video showcasing how and when the other 2 tools are to be be used ?
Thanks !
@@MiniKatanaStore can we reuse the first cloth after washing it or do we have to use another cloth?
@@konduruadilakshmi4345 I imagine wetting them with water would ruin them
@@8unnylover thanks
I’ve watched a few videos about cleaning.thanks for yours getter to the point and not go over unnecessary details
props for actually trying to teach your customers how to maintain their swords
Could you make it so the oil has a droplet thingy on it? If so that would help with applying the right amount of oil.
Do you also need to clean a Metal, but Not Battle Ready Katana? And what is a good alternativ from Ricepaper when those are dirty that you used?
I've purchased both kinds, and they both seem to have the coating. So, most likely, you need to clean both kinds
@@charicole105 yea u do have to clean both i sent them a email asking about it and they said we do otherwise they will rust
dude I was so confused if I have to clean me and my brother katana casud we oder two and did not know if I had to clean the metal one and it's are first katana ok bye 😅
@@spitfiregaming7045 that makes no sense one is high carbon steel and the other stainless steel two completely diffirent metals
@@B_men_apo ik they are but i got told u have to clean both of them for some reason
I picked up a free one recently and have decided to grace my most expensive katana at this time with a little cleaning. I apparently followed this procedure fairly well and the blade shone brighter.
This is really helpful. thank you very much, now i know what to do next time if i get a katana cleaning kit and a katana. this guide is helpful
This is great!
I don't have a katana, but I sure was interested in seeing you clean it with such grace and skill.
Ver useful, Thank you.
I can see the person who owns a Inosuke’s katana is gonna have a hard time cleaning it :>
(yes, that person is gonna be me in the future thank you)
Fr it will be awhile especially in the little ripper bump parts thing
If you only use your katana for display, do you also need to oil it every 1 to 2 months like with the wiping, or only after using the uchiko ball?
If only display like 1 per month
This was very helpful
Thanks
That is 80% INCORRECT.
① You Never use Uchiko in imitation Katana only real Katana you can use Uchiko one or two time for year. Never use Uchiko in your imitation Katana because Uchiko can damage the chrome of your Katana.
② In real katana it used oli to protects against rust BUT in imitation Katana only it used so that it does not make friction when putting it into the Saya because imitation Katana have chrome.
③ Imitation Katana never remove Tsuka, unless Katana manual say you can remove Tsuka.
④ For clean your imitation Katana you can used microfiber.
👍
So if I buy one, do I need to clean it right out of the box per chance? Or does it come perfectly clean? Also how long does the cleaning kit last?
If u were to buy one the blade inside the sheath is covered by plastic and is perfectly untouched, your good to go 👍
Unfortunately unless your reusing cloth the kit will run out after around 1 And a half cleans 🤦
U guys make such good katanas I was going to get the mini rengoku but found out with all the shipping and things the total price ended up being $100 where I live so I couldn’t get it
Can you use the same technique on your mini katanas, or is there a specific other method?
I wonder the same thing.
nice
thanks for this information
ty that helped a lot
Question to anyone who knows the answer. I'm getting my first katana soon so I'd like to know as much as possible. If I go to clean my katana and there's evidence of rusting already, is there a way I can remove the rust without damaging the blade?
1. ways to clean/destroy rust should work
2.but the sword shouldn't be rusting once you get it as long as you clean it thoroughly
If you clean it regularly it should never happen, and unfortunately as far as I know there isnt any way to remove rust without damaging, since the whole thing with rust is that it eats away at the metal. The best way to remove rust (that I know of) is with white vinegar and scrubbing it with aluminum foil, but that isn't exactly delicate.
do you think ordering the sword was worth it and how durable is it?
@@danielthelawd2213 very worth it, just need to give it proper care
@@Tre.E If a sword is lightly rusted you can use polishing liquids of various grits to remove it, if the rust is more severe you'll have to chemically remove it or sand it, then resharpen it.
If you just polish with liquid it shouldn't need resharpening depending on the grit used.
just wondering, when a katana goes out of stock how long does it take to get back in?
Average time to make a katana is about 6 months, so really depends on the quality, lower quality takes shorter time ofc, but if you really want a high or medium quality one then bout 6 months to make a katana
this is very helpfull thanks very much
Great tutorial I love the work
I'd highly recommend watching one from an actual Japanese swordsmith at least if you want to properly maintain your blade this is mostly an ad to sell you a kit but you were going to have to buy replacements for whereas the aforementioned swordsmiths will tell you suitable alternatives such as clean tissues and baby oil
what if you have a katana like inosuke from demon slayer cuz his is different from a regular katana
Just do the same process. As long as you get in the corners of the serrated bits, you should be all good.
When I found out about you I thought you were just some money grabbing company, true or not, you know your stuff.
Thanks man i bought a katana from another shop bc they had sale and i soon found out why they where on sale so i cleaned it with some cloth and the intire cloth was dirty so i went to watch this vid and def gonna buy a cleaning kid thanks for the vid
I've always been taught you withdraw the sword blade side up although I guess sideways is better than blade side down.
I’m curious about the other swords that are sold at your shop. Do they require the same care or is there a different method of care that needs to be followed for the swords that aren’t technically considered katanas
The high quality swords all need this care because they are all made from high carbon steel
@@B_men_apo Thanks for answering
Question. Can the nuguigami cloths be washed in a washing machine?
I'm guessing they can't be washed
No but if you pit some wayer on it and then dry it it should be okay
my katana was dirty so many years, thank you for uploading this video. now i can finally go out and show off again.
I’ve loved your videos for so long just realized I hadn’t been subbed 😞
I bought a sword will never regret it!!!!
Same I bought one
So question about the dull bladed versions. Do you still need to clean it and oil it like a battle-ready katana or is it ok to just wipe it with a soft cloth?
Yes you still oil it. Even if it is dull its made of the same material and will experience rust and film from the humidity dull or sharp.
^^^ what they said. While it isnt sharpened, its still a metal blade made from the same materials as the sharp ones, so it still requires the same care
But what if it's like a sao replica that's made of metal (don't know if it's the same kind) would I have to clean it when it's not a katana
@@yaboijoseph9590 the shape of the weapon has nothing to do with it. Its the materials and basic weapon cleaning. It doesnt matter what you have, if you have it, you clean it.
Hi! I really really need help with this! I would appreciate if you could help me. So I just my katana basically every day or so. I was wondering how many cleaning kits I should buy? How long do they last (using the katana once every day ish? Mostly thinking about the amount of rice sheets and oil. And also should I put oil on every time u use it or only 1-2 times a year just like the uchiko ball? ☺️😊
BROOOOO i just cant wait to finally buy my Sandai Kitetsu Replica!!! oh, and by the way, where should i buy the cloths?
This chanel is underrated.
Wow. Thanks alot
I do not have a katana, (I may buy a mini) But just watching this was really entertaining!!!!!
Thank you
great video
Thanks mini katana 😃
ive always wanted to try a katana and finnaly i can
I’m planning to buy a katana sometime soon and this will be very helpful for when I do.
Could I use a handkerchief to do it? And does it matter that I wash the handkerchief with detergent or could the chemicals be bad for it?
Can we clean the cleaning cloths to reuse them or do we have to always buy two new ones?
Rất thích clip này, hi vọng minikatana sẽ làm clip tương tự với kiếm zenitsu. Vì tôi muốn mua nó.
I shall save and make sure to be part of the katana crew!
thanks for the tip
Hey mini katana how to clean the medium rengoku and the mini rengoku?
How much do the metal katanas weigh
Hey I have a question. Are the tengen blades swingable like in the show or would it need a stronger chane
I have a question:If i use all my cloth,do i just use napkins or softwipes?
How do you clean the cloths?
so do i put all of the cleaning paper or whatever the fancy name is in the storge container or just the one i used to oil the blade
Do I have to buy the specific items in this video or can we use other oils? I just find it a little expensive for the cleaning kit.
Could you make a destiny 2 goldtusk dull replica
Some questions:
1st how many times can a cleaning kit be used approximately?
If its just on display and cosplay does it need less cleaning?
Can you use this on any sword?
I am getting a new cantana
soon so thank you
1. Can I wash the naguigami to use them again
2. Do I need to clean even dull blades
My katana cleaning kit didn't come with a plastic storage container to hold the cloths after use. Also, the cloths have some paper in the middle which i think is the rice paper, should i use the cloth part or the rice paper?
we need to see this more in anime 😮
i'm gonna receive my katana soon, so that knowledge would be essential for me so thank you
Can you use a katana cleaning kit for a non katana or regular sword
Hey, I'm kind of new to the Mini katana community and I'm thinking of buying a dull blade katana. I was just curious if I still have to clean it like it is done in the video, or if using a soft cloth would work just as fine.
You do, as it can still rust
Thank you for this video I was able to clean my Katana and see how dirty it is
you guys should make the dragonslayer from Beserk.
This is so interesting I have a demon slayer sword to but I didn't know how to clean it. But now I do!
So if you're feeling hungry while cleaning your blade, eat the rice paper cloth included.
How might this affect the paint of the blade for something like sanemi’s nichirin
Do you have signatures on your tang and if so is it on the left or right, left signifies that it's real
Do you only recommend oil or do you also recommend Renaissance wax?
i think i might know the answer to this, but do the katanas come pre-oiled, or do we need to do that ourselves?
@mini katana can u pls make a how to clean a your or a saber video they are a bit larger I wonder how to do it(I want to buy a yoru
what about the outher rise cloths can you reuse them to
Do you need to buy more nuguigami or do you just reuse them every time and also would you buy new blade oil if you run out and if so pls give me a link to the best one
Very nice
Minikatana is the real demon slayer core
What do you do with the other cleaning cloths do you just wash them in warm water and reuse them?
question make a cleaning kit for mini sword pls
Um ok but how do you clean tengen’s nichirin
What about in the states (USA) near Canada would it be a dry place or humid place as summer can be problematic for the calculation
question: can you use different cloths then the ones in the cleaning kit?
Unrelated quesrion, does this cleaning kit work to get rid of blood as well?
