That's a solid mic right there. You should do the Eden next. Plus it's good you have a good high end Solid slate FET mic because you already have a high end tube mic the Sony c800g.

Hey bro i have been struggling with this preset I bought from your website I downloaded the newest waves plug-ins installer ran it downloaded everything n all but when i open the preset the plug-ins are dark gray (inactive) then when i hit active it says cant be active because plug-in is not present in plug-ins folder i need help man as soon as u can thank u

Iâd say it really depends on what you are looking for. 2 totally different mics. I would say the f387 is more versatile with the voice options as the 8000 is going after the one classic sound. So it depends on what you are looking for for sure. Both amazing mics

Commenting on this cause its the recent post, but will you make a video on the correct way to make send input on Fl studio such as delay's and reverbs so they arent on the same tracks as the vocal tracks, or does it not matter if you are using one of your presets? (Not sure if you already made a video to what I am asking for, or atleast I have yet to see one.)
Also added this question to another video: when using presets, would your still recommend when recording setting your buffer size to 256 ? only asking because i'm not sure if that would mess with the effects.
If anyone else that comes across this has the answer I would appreciate the response
256 is okay, normaly i dont recommend recording with effects only autotune and reverb and i use them on a bus so the effects arent stamped to the vocals so i can change them at anytime, watch videos on sends and busses
@@suxgegaming I do this too, I usually have a preset and record on a dry vocal channel with (NSL channel waves plug in) and send that too the preset channel. Iâm allowed to edit the mix after. So once I mix I change the buffer size to 1024 or whatever if is if Iâm not mistaken.
Iâm only asking the question about the sends because I see so many people do it differently on FL studio. As far as the reverb and delay sends, just trying to get the correct way for it to sound on your vocals.

I have the LT-386 as was wonder is there a big difference between it and the FC-387?
Yes! The Eden has way more lowend character and controls the high end sheen way better. The Eden damn near sounds mixed without an EQ but has a lot of dynamic range for mixing at the same time. The Eden 386 beats out the U87 these days in most of the shootouts Iâve seen.

I own over $30,000 in gear. From u87âs to Tlm 103âs to REAL 1176âs, neve preamps, la2as ect and let me tell yâall something.. DONâT FALL FOR THE HYPE. Iâve been chasing a punchy crispy & shiny vocal for my songs and Iâve been spending thousands on all the fanciest mics but Iâm now realizing something itâs not about the name or the price tag its about achieving the sound quality you want ! All because a microphone is vintage classic doesnât mean your modern vocals are going to sound good on them and to be honest iâm in the process of replacing all my vintage mics with modern ones because thats what gives me that bright shiny radio ready vocal.
I TAKE IT BACK ! I actually spoke too soon and returned the microphone. When I first used it I loved how sharp and crispy the microphone was when put in forward mode but after a minute I realized how the microphone has an artificial quality to it, and the yes vocals cut through the mix, but were way too harsh to the point where when I would playback my vocals, my ears would hurt and the last thing you want is ear fatigue while mixing let alone recording the vocals. If youâre on a budget and grab this, mic, I donât blame you, but there are a lot of better options such as the TLM 103 from Neumann and trust me Iâm telling yâall this as an artist . I ended up returning this microphone and replacing it with a manly, reference C, which cuts through my mix, and sounds clear as day without Eq, and if you ask me, you donât even need a Sony C 800 when you grab a Manley ref c mic .
@@brunofromthe2ndfloorI usually find that using the neutral position and up the highs with a pultec style EQ gives a more pleasant result than using the forward position.
