It does look like a Brymen. My first power probe DMM was not used much and not abused but the screen developed a crack that is working its way all the way across. Very disappointed! Customer service does not want to hear this. I wish they would replace. Probably buy a DM500 Max if they could help me out as the meter was very accurate.

Question could you have use the etc300 short finder to let you no ... also could u have just use the power probe to check for power and ground then using the .meter

yes, there is quite a few different ways to do this, this is just the way that was chosen for this situation
