Impulse mining the gold with the danger of the warden is pretty much the equivalent of the dwarves in Moria going too deep and waking the balrog

How many wardens can you spawn while looting an ancient city?
The soup group: yes
Due to their nearly complete lack of wool placement and "speedrunning" techniques, I suspect that the Jevin/Hypno/xB ancient city raid spawned a lot more wardens. Of course, also thanks to using that method, the darkness effect was going almost constantly everywhere, making it hard to tell how many wardens were actually around.

Normal players: Scared of the warden
Hermits: Piston go brrt
I mean that always did seem like a pretty easy way to distract the warden. It reacts to pistons moving, redstone clocks are like 2 blocks wide.

i dug a 2x2x127 block hole straight into a deep dark biome, summoned the warden 2 times, elevated them up with soul sand and lured them into a holding cell where i shot them to death from a distant tower. It took 2 days with iron and unenchanted diamond gear. That is not fear, that is determination.
Impulse: DON'T PANIC
Also Impulse: activates 3 more wardens as he runs away in a panic
Doc: Let's take few Swift sneak books and leave the rest for other players to find.
Impulse: SELL ALL THE BOOKS!
I would expect nothing less from the owner of a book shop!

You basically made a very similar mechanism that Doc did, except you accidently kept calling the shriekers catalysts, and he accidently kept calling the catalysts shriekers.

There is one block that is perfect for this trio: The Pearlescent Froglight. Pearl is Pearl, Gem likes frogs and Impulse has his illuminate shop!
Also the three colors: Purple for Pearl, Green for Gem, and Orange for Impulse's copper!

Ok, that clip at the end with the warden chasing Gem is terrifying, it’s running like a angry bear. I can’t wait to see the other Soup Group perspectives. I think 10 diamonds is reasonable for the Swift Sneak III books, maybe put up 1 and 2 books cheaper if you end up with an odd number of them so hermits can buy them and combine with books they’ve already found.
Storage room is taking shape, looking forward to see how you finish up the ceiling and the base entrance.
I thought is was funny because of the dancing the warden looked like he was doing. Also the fact that there was music helped to lighten the mood.

Just a heads up Imp, now you have swift sneak 3, you can crawl in a 1x1 space super fast, so doing hole mining now works alot faster

The first city you raided, must have been the one that Doc already raided, he left a bunch of stuff for the rest once he had what he was looking for

I've gotta fast forward those parts. Gem sounds like a child from the lollipop guild and it makes me want to jam an ice pick in my ear. It was Grian that I skipped all collabs with, but he sounds amazing compared to her.

And at 12:31, the safe place was where Gem's stuff was found after she died.
Despite you guys not needing the recovery compass, for us who have no debug screen on bedrock, it is a godsend.
Why do you need the debug screen on bedrock? I do well with coordinates only
We do, the recovery compass doesn't say the death coordinates
For me in particular, coords are broken. Idk why, but they never work

Idk if Impulse ever added the light element he mentioned to the Guardian Statues but i think Froglights would work for lighting up the eyes and mouths
In the ancient city where you encountered noteblocks there is a hidden room under the floor... (It is kind of a trap as well made to teach you trapping )
And there’s a secret chest under there with ice and stuff!
Is that in all cities? And is it real to start with?
@@helencrw12 all cities generate alittle different so I guess some cites might generate without that specific structure in it.
@@helencrw12 yup it’s kinda hard to find but the one with note blocks to the left of it will be a trap door under that ice and a chest with snowballs and other stuff

About the music discs.. while I enjoy the mechanic of a skeleton shooting a creeper and it dropping a disc, I feel out of all the natural vs farmable things, that mechanic HAS to be farmed to be worthwhile so I feel we should definitely be able to loot all of them from chests, it could be rare and each structure chest could have a different disc so you're forced to find all structures
(Edit: Just tried to post it as feedback and there is actually 1 post from April about the same thing, everyone should go vote it if you like that idea!)
Impulse with the gold is like the greedy dwarfs digging too deep for Mithril and wakening up the Balrog 😅

Impulse, I think it'd be good to incorporate gilded Blackstone into your build, especially in the new storage room, it may be a nice secondary accent to the heavy blue presence (although that looks good on its own too ;) )

Love the little iChirp bird you have there from the shreiker mob sound experiments. Mojang did a lot of changes to keep bats and mobs from constantly spawning the Warden in earlier snapshots so you won't even see the sensors passing the sounds from one to another with the double chevrons like they do with player sounds.
I don't get to see the streams anymore due to my timezone, but the videos are edited to perfection as always. Enjoyed the SOUP crowd and your progress on iTrade.
I think the ochre frog lights would fit best your base!

The entire sequence of Pearl setting off the shrieker, everyone scattering in a literal blind panic, Impulse setting up distractions, and Pearl flying off and Gem dying feels like an entire freaking action sequence from a movie and/or TV show. Kudos to picking the music that added to this affect Impulse! (This is your que animators to animate this lol ;)) Great job on escaping with minimal casualties Soup Group!

impulse u can sprint while sneaking its faster with swift sneak. i think it works efficiently with toggle sprint. Just wanted to tell ya just in case 😄

Mojang did a pretty good job of giving the Warden a fairly wide ranging skill set so that it would be difficult to defeat easily, but they had to know that someone out there would find a way to negate the Warden eventually. There are just too many players out there that have a ton of technical know-how that it was not a matter of 'if' but 'when'...
Hey Impulse, You can make a Cresent moon on top of pearl's base using pearlescent frog lights...... For no apparent reason ofcourse.
Impulse, you can now tame Wardens with 1 trap door between 2 skulk sensors to perform the same trick as the piston w/ two observers you've been using.
Loved this episode impulse, your build is utterly phenomenal and that outro is hilarious.

Sneaky Races: A Minigame
Two teams compete to reach the end without being spotted by the other team. Even if they see your name tag, you restart.

dare ideas:
- alter Ren's statue
- build a face into the base of 10 hermits
- plant hidden pufferfush in common areas
- build a giant and complex redstone machine to do something really simple
- rename all sheep on the server to jeb_
- sell a stack of dirt to another hermit - sell diorite to iskall
- build something nice (in a common location) with a block palette of gilded Blackstone, acacia wood, diorite, redstone blocks and magenta glazed terracotta
- build a redstone block castle
- obtain diamonds without going aboveground, starting with nothing in your inventory (they'll have to find a mineshaft, tools etc. maybe start them in a cave with a semi close mineshaft or stronghold)
- make noise machines under people's bases (large numbers of hidden nether portals by their portal so they dont know, or chicken in a chamber with one pressure plate connected to a dispenser firing an arrow at a arrow at a bell)

Impulse, the reinforced deepslate(the block you took 82.5 seconds to mine, although you stated took 5 minutes, I consulted the wiki) does not drop the block. However, it is pushable with pistons, and even more, takes the same amount of time to mine with any tool, including your fists

So, if you are shutting down your enchanting shop, may I suggest a franchise option to replace it? There are a lot of micro-farms that if you combine with a villager, or brown mooshroom, or whatever, can be left running that will refill themselves. Even a book farm, most of the time, could be left on autopilot if you charged a fee to open a door to access a specific villager. Charge a diamond to open a door to a villager. Have something easy like an automatic pumpkin farm hermits can use to get emeralds so you don't even need to worry about restocking those. A couple farmers with pumpkin/melon trades, an autofarm, and then a golden carrot trade... a brown mooshroom byob (bring your own bowl) for suspicious stew (pretty sure you could use the sorting mechanic to let them figure out what stew it was).
Illuminate and I enchant show the big flaw of the great reset.
The people with successful farms are the ones who did not need to mine for their wealth and recover it quickly.
Those skulk veins look so good on those frog lights and sea lanterns!
