#Hermitcraft #TangoTek - Hry
The shriekers actually do have some hidden functionality- Skulk sensors can detect motion, but they can't tell the difference between a mob walking and a player walking. If you connect the sensor to a shrieker, then an observer to that, you can make a redstone system that triggers for players but ignores all sorts of mobs, or the other way around! Who knows, might be useful for decked out? Don't want your ravengers setting off the traps, obviously.
Don't think he'll be using Ravengers on Decked Out 2.0. Perhaps Mr. Warden? >=]
@@mattr.1569 Why not both on different levels
@@mattr.1569 he has stated in streams he plans to use both ravagers and wardens
@@mfrancis33 Ah, great info! Thanks for letting me know.
He can use the farmed shriekers to give the hermits a jump scare in the mini game.
1.19 comes out for HC, instantly Tango: Skulk farm, Doc: Warden farm..
👀
I'm waiting for Doc to deliver Wardens straight to other bases with his charged creeper cannon
just legends doing legendary things
Scar: get killed by warden
Cub: Froglight farm
The amount of times I've heard other hermits say "This has to be Joe Hills" is hilarious. Joe definitely has a brand 🤣
That's the Joe Hills difference!
That's the JoeHills difference.
Tango..
Brings a warden on the surface in a harcore mode..
Is afraid to summon one in normal survival..
Rage is a funny thing
In hardcore, if you die to it, it's a one and done thing. But in survival, if you die to it, it's a repeating deathloop and must be very frustrating.
Dude this is such a cool farm :)
Daddy
Famous MCYT? ONE REPLY?? HOW????
The sculk can spread across any uncovered, full-block surfaces. This includes things like the bottoms of stair blocks or trap doors.
To keep it from spreading, things like glass panes, fences, walls, are your best friends because the sculk can't grow on them OR pass through them.
tricky sticky stuff
So sulk is like taint?
Tango don’t forget that you gave Hypno 5 future Decked Out keys (in season 7) for when you finish decked out 2.0.
Along with Etho
What did Hypno get those for? I thought it was just Etho who got the head-start keys.
@@fhtraveler Tango hosted a “mini challenge” that Hypno won the keys in, I don’t remember exactly what it was. I would have to find it back in season 7
Tango: I'm basically a noob (in 1.19).
Also Tango: *names a Warden and takes him up to surface*
'I'm supposed to be a redstoner, I'm itching to do some stone redning' would have been such a Tango sentence I was expecting something like this 😂
Honestly, I am most hyped for Tango’s base this season, it’s going to look sick when it’s done
also the whole thing is going to be a deep-dark style Decked-Out
Me too
I gotta say, for me it's pretty close between Tango's and Scar's bases. The Hermits are really going all out this season, it's incredible!
yep same, the tendrils will look awesome
I feel like the sound of a shrieker going off would be a really good sound for generating clank
Tango, you need to properly name each of the towers on the Citadel, such as Tower of Lore, Tower of Pain, Tower of Overflowing Toilets - give each tower a name (if not a function, other than looking wicked). Keep up the great work!
Tower of Lore meh, the rest: SOLID!
Some other cool, evil tower names: Evil Tower of Ominousness, Tower which Time Forgot, Tower of Malice, Tower of Grief, Tower of Calamities, Tower of Durance Vile, Tower of Destruction, Tower of Babylon, Ministry of Truth, Tower of Rassilon, Minas Morgul, Orthanc, Dol Guldur, Barad-dûr,
Equally fun, the towers could have ironic names, like Tower of Goodness and Light, etc.
player placed shriekers can be good for pranks, they can recieve signals from sensor but dont have the same limits that a naturally generated one has, like the 10 seconds cooldown and the limit of only 1 activated per sensor, so you can make a 5x5x5 cube of shriekers with a sensor on top and when the sensor detect anything all shrikers activate at once making a really loud noise
Another benefit is that shriekers only activate from player actions, so when combined with an observer, you can make an effective trap that only activates from player actions
@@Targetstrike does observer observes the shrieking?
@@ayanmotha8049 yup and at a certain distance you don't even hear the shreaker as it activates
@@Targetstrike or a alarm system
I love how technically advanced Tango’s vocabulary is, “whooa, I need a new flighty thing!”
Tango: An enderman farm is almost too easy.
Also Tango: *nearly die in the process*
Love the problem solving always. Don’t ever let Grian know about this machine.
Yup. It'll be broke in less than a minute with all them nice pretty buttons to play with. 😂
Tango: "I'm basically a noob"
Also Tango: *builds an enormous game within a game*
You'll still get the darkness and the sound from a manually placed shrieker! Perfect for spooking decked out players!
You don't get darkness, only the sound
shame you cant summon wardens in other places, imagine decked out with wardens
Oops nvm
@@beetle_beans_6613 He's planning to put wardens in Decked Out, he said so before. He just has to capture them in an ancient city and bring them over instead.
Does the darkness still happen on Java, on bedrock I know it doesn't but Idk about java.
Ilmango did a few videos on skulk during the snapshots and experimented with skulk spread. Might be a good place to start
Mumbo also did a video using a similar concept to what you tried. He didn't seem to run into the vein issue, but I don't know what he did differently. Maybe the veins weren't introduced at that point
I just finished watching Pixlriffs do a video on a sculk farm
@@amdkillaplays yeah veins weren't introduced then
Tango likes making his own farm and concept designs lol
Ilmango is definitly a solid start
Watching Tango build in the void is terrifying given his unique ability to fall through any and all 1x1 gaps! :D. Awesome redstone-ificating! Love the farm. And skulk vein looks amazing on ice....might look cool in or on a tower somewhere.
especially since his elytra broke just earlier in the episode 3:06
Weird redstone farms are definitely my favorite thing Tango does. Skulk farms are still pretty new so I’m interested to see how the designs develop.
The amount of work Tango did this season is just mind-boggling
I must say that you've become an excellent builder. The Nether Hub is a Wonder of the Minecraft World!! 🥳
Shriekers only activate from player actions, which means they make for good player detectors!
Tango: builds a skulk farm.
My 6 year old: Oooh! An Enderman bubble bath!
😅 That's adorable.
@Fritz R I suspect the endermen might disagree 😂
I haven't tested anything yet, but my instinct is to cover surfaces in trap doors; they work the same as buttons but don't get popped off when the block next to them moves.
I just love how the hermits instantly recognize Joe's Humor on an instant
Idk why, but that "ouch" at 0:29 when Tango flew into the tunnel really made me laugh 😅
Tango literally has the best intro and outro music
Yes he really does!
I know the particles showing up on the blocks has something to do with how it converts blocks into sculk, and when the particles can't pathfind to an area without sculk, it has a chance to spawn the sensors or shriekers. I think that you break up the skulk spawning platform enough that it breaks the connection to the stone blocks that are able to make their way through - if you were to add another ribbon segment to move the sculk away from the spawning platform you shouldn't have any more problems with stone getting through
"Do I have...?"
*checks inventory for fire resistance potion*
"I've got the noob juice"
After seeing Doc farm the warden as soon as he laid eyes on it, seeing Tango scared is refreshing
What does the warden give you? Like why would you farm it?
@@emmi8217 One catalyst. Not worth it at all. That's kinda the point as well.
The ender-ender as a sculk farm is actually genius.
HERE WE GOOOOO BABEY
Decked Out 2 is coming closer....
oh man, the sculk blocks would be a really cool addition to the Astral Library sky. (could maybe replace a few item frames and help w frames haha)
Nothing brings more pleasure as much as seeing a tango upload 🌸
I second that statement
I third that
I forth that
You can still use the Shriekers, maybe! They could alert the named Wardens to your location…
Tango, just want you to know that you're on fire this season dude. Videos are great, content is great, pacing is going good as well for the stories you're unfolding on all your pojects. Super sweet watching ya flourish this season.
I've been playing in the ancient city and the skulk blocks a lot and I know that the sensors can be used for almost wireless redstone functions but to what extent is beyond my capabilities. I know that you can also send the xp bubbling through a chain of the skulk blocks and ilmango did a great video showcasing some new farms for this patch and one was showing how the xp travels through the skulk and it might help with your issues. I also just learned that shriekers also activate when just simply being walked over and even work with a carpet on top as well.
Can’t wait to see what you do with the sculk! Love your work tango
I love seeing new Tango videos pop up on my feed!
I love that tango was laughing at how easy the deep dark was- but I’m wondering if doc had already disabled wardens
The Warden toggle is per person, so Wardens will not spawn for Doc, but will for everyone else.
Ilmango did a series a videos on the transition of the skulk charge, and his design process for a similar farm to avoid the issues with it crawling into the mechanics. Highly suggest those. If I remember correctly, the completed version even has a world download you could poke around in to see what he did differently.
Man, I can't wait for all the sculk blocks to be used in builds and as decorations, they are just so good! I am so excited for your base this season. Looking at the active farm, sculk with the extra xp bubbles going through it would look so cool in a build! Idk how, but just imagine having walls/a ceiling of skulk that's just alive and animated with those bubbles.
The shrieked could be a good tool for an alarm, or tricking people into thinking a warden will spawn, sensors could be used with that
And sculk could be a good money maker?
The farm getting "infected" looks hella cool!
Tango place the Sculk Catalyst on top of the platform right above your head when you are in the cart. Should still spread with the added benefit of it being further away from the stone gen.
good idea!
I'm loving how the castle/citadel looks :D The shapes remind me of the buildings in Oblivion, just in a different color scheme. Definitely nailed the sinister vibe with all the spikey bits!
You could use the Sculk Shriekers to lead the Warden around within Decked Out. Make it more punishing for if they accidently activate one.
Shrieker would make for an epic jump scare in decked out.
Using a system similar to Doc's (or just his if possible) to get Wardens for decked out would be pretty interesting and spice things up quite a bit.
Amazing farm! I didn’t know it bubbles when death happens. I love how cool the Citadel is looking! Super evil and menacing. It was a fun stream yesterday. I love spontaneous Hermit shenanigans!! I was laughing so much. I needed that.
Love how the skulk “escapes” the farm when not sealed all the way can really mess things up if you aren’t paying attention.
My thinking is that the best way would be to separate the stone geration from the dropshoot, have the endeeman land on a shrieker have the skulk charge follow a one way line of skulk that can be made using skulk blocks and stairs. Ilmango made a lot of explaining of this stuff during snapshots
I honestly can't wait to see what the redstoners do now there's sculk sensors to make things wireless.
TANGO YOU HAVE MORE DECKED OUTY THINGS TO DO NOW
😆 🤣 😂
You’re farms never cease to amaze me.
Shriekers could be useful under carpets in Decked Out. Walking across them would cause them to shriek, scaring the player and creating the darkness effect temporarily. It might also catch the attention of the wardens and draw them to the player. Maybe even over time, players would learn to avoid certain spots, or you could move them around to bring some new fear and unknown into the game.
You aren’t a red stoner. You’re the total package man. Those builds you’ve been pumping out are some of the best around.
For a moment I thought something caused the piston-moved skulk to not drop exp... then I remembered Tango had silk touch
Getting major season 5 base vibes and I'm loving it
For atmospheric spooky sounds for decked out, you could have chambers hidden in the walls with one silenced chicken that occassionally walks over a shrieker to make them go off
The way the bat lights up the place is actually pretty satisfying since you can't see the bat too well as well xD
I know that the base is going to be inspiring in the end. Sculk is the coolest thing in the update and Tango will definitely make the most out of it.
Place a line of trapdoors on the first line of stone as it comes out of the generator
Doing the design on screen instead of building something designed off screen...so much more relatable
Tango. The speaking mod you use reacts to the Skulk sensors.
@@wolfgangzeintl6425 yeah, I dont think it automatically comes with prox chat
No, that’s an additional mod that was added to double life for it to become more difficult for them, unless they’ve installed it here as well then it won’t trigger
Love how wholesome the hermits are. 😭
Yes!
Pixlriffs had a great sculk farm video, Tango.
I'm so hype to see how you use the skulk, it's such an atmospheric block.
Tango-not-a-builder is killin' it with his base.
Ilmango used a basalt farm instead and it worked very well, so maybe give that a try? Otherwise he does have some videos on how sculk spreads.
ilmango made a sculk block farm during the snapshots and was able to come up with a reliable stone generator as well as a way to separate stone from skulk using noteblocks. He explains it all in his video "Nice and Fast Sculk Block Farm" and the stone sorter video "Sculk Block Sorter". His farm design is definitely overkill, but you can just take individual components and put them in your own farm.
Tango, you are very inspirational. Your work ethic is unfaltering, your creativity is genius and your ability to have so much sheer joy while doing it is simply admirable.
Whatever you do is always so cool.
The sculk blocks will go great with the Citadel's color scheme
The fact that Thx also can mean thanks is amazing
THX
Catalysts actually work a bit like hoppers. With the exception, that they only transport XP. If a monster dies near a catalyst, and the surrounding blocks are also catalysts, then the XP, will be transmitted through them like electricity in a wire. And first, once, they touch a block like stone then the stored XP will be released in form of veins and then sculk.
Furthermore, you can with either TNT or a Wither similar to a wood farm actually make automatic sculk farms.
If you move the XP from the Enderman farm to another location, where you by the very start of the piston push have catalysts, then with clever waterlogging, you can make a system, where TNT can be dispensed but not destroy anything else, than the sculk.
Trick #1 for a skulk farm. Use basalt generators. They don't get jammed and they still convert.
The first 1.19 episode is episode #19
OMG YES!!!!!!!!!
10:47 No, nono naw naw we ain't just gonna ignore that legendary voice crack
I am loving the Hermitcraft mad scientists diving head first into new Minecraft technology. With all of these new weapons available and the server under a new monarch, war seems inevitable.
As SOON as tango hit that horn, I was like, "hey, is that the THX sound?"
X'D
Shriekers are a great player detector since a shulk sensor can be activated by mobs while a shrieker only activates when a player is nearby. This makes player detectors way more consistent.
Tango, protip, bats are you secret weapon against shriekers in the deep dark. Bats in the code are constantly jumping which causes them to constantly set off every sensor in the area. While the sensors are occupied you can just snatch the shrieker or sensors around it no problem.
16:20 the cutest dad scream I’ve heard 😂
Love this concept. Straightforward-ish and great execution.
The base is already looking so cool! I can’t wait to see it finished!
Your base, Decked Out 2.0, Ethos return (and exile), the shulk farm thing. This episode is too tier. I'm glad you was one of the first hermits videos I started catching up on because I'm fell behind on lots of hermits since my schedule has been booked lately.
Sculk spreads like crazy, buttons and walls are by far the best thing to stop the veins. For a block to be converted to sculk, at least one face of it has to be exposed to air. I went through all these same hassles making my own smaller-scale sculk farm
Awesome video! Nice to see you experimenting with 1.Nine-tiny! Can't wait to see you build many more farms and builds with the new stuff!
You should scatter some sculk blocks around the walls of the astral library because they would look good as tiny stars.
Tango, I build a similar set up on my world. But I used multiple stone generators to build a three walled plus floor setup under a normal mob farm. I knew you’d make it so much better. I’ve been waiting for this video since 1.19 came out! My only advice would be to block off the catalysts from you accidentally breaking them. Love it!
This skulk farm is INSANE. Epic episode as always, tango! I really enjoy seeing your builds ^^
So much redstone jibber jabber, I love it. Classic Tango Tek.
I get home to this, glad for the timing!
Ilmango did a great video on I think catalysts being the best portable xp storage in the game.
I mean if you're really looking to learn watch a couple of Ilmango's videos. He's done a lot of the scienceing already. Keep up the good work! Episodes are amazing :D
such a fun idea ! cant wait to see how it all works out !!
I love that intro music, it really sets the mood for the video to come
0:27 Someone use this audio for something, the bump and then the "OW!" was so natural and funny together
