Wow! Just finished listening to this discussion and wanted to thank you for taking the time to talk about so many fine details of this Criterion release. The Criterion DVD edition was one of my first purchases during my initial physical media collecting phase and has proven to be one of the most important items that I own in terms of how it helped shape my personal life and tastes in many ways. One day I hope to return to this discussion to speak in more detail, perhaps after I pick up this new release myself and witness it in all its HD glory even though I have watched the DVD I mention probably close to 50+ times in my life. Criterion should send you a plaque for how many of their releases you have sold to people with your words and excitement that you so kindly share. Yes, I had to let you know that this discussion has made my day as it allowed me the opportunity to think on this film and all the mind-blowing details within the film and surrounding it's creation as well as mentioning the novel/major players that are a part of this work. The way you hint at all the things present within this film that can be uncovered by multiple viewings brought all these things to mind and that's what it's all about for me when it comes to film/art exploration. Thank you my friend! Cheers! "Too weird to live, and too rare to die." One of many of my favorite quotes that come to mind from the classic American work by Hunter S. Thompson.

Still haven’t gotten my copy yet but this one’s a Top 10 all-time film for me. I bet the 4K is gorgeous. Very excited to watch your video on it in full. Hope all is well, Daisuke!!

I watched the movie the other day and I couldn’t make any sense of it. It reminded me of Bill Murray’s where the bufffalo roam and William Burroughs’s naked lunch
