How I cover my grey hair naturally | Natural brown hair dye (step-by-step tutorial)

- I've been slowly developing more and more grey hair over the past few years. It started when I was 18 and I've been trying to hide it since.
But it's come to the point where plucking and pulling out the greys just aren't enough. There are too many of them. So, I've turned to this natural brown hair dye to help cover up my greys. It's the closest thing to my natural hair colour, and works really effectively at covering up any grey hair I have.
I hope you will enjoy the video! Sending you so much love and big hugs! ♥
❤ Vanessa

Awww I'm so glad I could be of help! Thank you so much for watching! 😍💕💞💓💗
@@VanessaDixon no problem!🤗
Natural beauty 😍
I use henna a lot...especially Desert Shadow which is an Australian owned company. Covers silvers, is conditioning and turns out lovely every time.
That's absolutely wonderful to hear Linda!
@@VanessaDixon Your video was great...that's how I stumbled across your channel.
@@LindaLights Aww thank you so much Linda ❤
Errr maaaa gawddd ur so prettyyy
Hahaha aww thank you so much!
Beautiful ❤
Thank you so much ❤️
Beautiful color
Thank you so much Renell! I really liked how the colour turned out too 😊
@@VanessaDixon me to gorgeous
This was great!! How long does it last?
It lasts about 6 weeks till regrowth starts to show
How do you do touch ups? Do you just do the roots of the full head application again? If full head, does the previously hennaed hair come out darker than the roots?
I usually apply full coverage every six weeks to my hair, and I've found it hasn't left parts of my hair looking darker than others, but I also choose a henna hair dye that matches my natural colour, so it's not so noticeable
@@VanessaDixon thanks for your reply and for letting me know! This is super helpful and I appreciate it:)
@@shrutiramaiya5835 oh my pleasure! I'm so glad I could help x
Sorry I am confused
Which brand you are using and recommending?
Dessert shadow or light mountain?
Light Mountain henna was what I used in this video, but since then I have switched to the desert shadow brand. Both are great
Hi, why did you switch to a different brand? What's wrong with light mountain? I want to know because I'm planning to purchase from them.
Oh nothing's wrong with light mountain, it's a great henna brand. I still use it sometimes. I started using this one as I could collect it from a store near me so I didn't need to pay for delivery.
Ahhh all that brushing the wet tangled hair! Mercy on poor hair!
Haha oh my goodness I know right! I've since stopped brushing my hair when it's wet and now do it once it dries, it's been so much better 😍
👏👏
What’s is the name of brand you are using
Light Mountain Natural
Does it make your hair fall or dry?
I haven't found this to be the case, it's actually a great conditioner for my hair
Sorry what is the brand name ? I could not read it in the video
The brand is Desert Shadow
where do we find that specific brand?
You can find it online on Amazon or from the store Biome
What is the brand I can't see it fully
The brand is Desert Shadow 😊
I tried henna on my white hair, and it gave a coppery hair color. No, I don’t want that. What should I do? Please help me. Is the henna you are using the same as the henna found in Arab countries?
Oh yes it can leave that colour if you're using pure henna, as it stains red. I use a henna that's mixed with a natural brown element to give a more brown colour
I do not think that there is mixed henna in my country.. there is nothing other than pure henna. Are there natural ingredients that I mix with pure henna to give a brown color?
Another question, please.. I now use a decoction of rosemary, sage, and black tea. Does this help with dyeing white hair over time?
@nouralhouda9820 oh okay, there are natural ingredients you can mix with the henna. Indigo is recommended, but again I'd recommend doing some research to make sure you're using ingredients to achieve the colour you desire for your hair
@@nouralhouda9820 is not as strong and doesn't stain white hair the same way henna does, as it lightens overtime
I dye my hair with henna then with indigo powder.
Oh cool, does that give your hair a purple colour?
Hi Vanessa, no actually deep black color. Works also perfectly for gray hair
@@Flower-pq9kt Oh that's awesome!
Yes me to using one step application mix of 1:4 indigo & henna. It is so much easier than a two step application.
@@rjtrendtrader8620which brand are you using? I am not happy with the brand I use and I do two step application 😢
How long does if last?
It lasts about 6 weeks
Just Henon ?
Yep just henna 😊
You'd look good with auburn...
Oh thank you! I have actually dyed my hair red before, it's a lovely colour
Intuiciones en español
Henna is NOT good for curly hair. I have SLE related alopecia areata and it made it way worse. Maybe this doesn’t happen to everyone, but I consulted with some Indian and other south Asian friends and they confirmed it works better on naturally oily hair.
Oh thank you so much for the tip. I didn't realise that, I appreciate you letting us all know
@@VanessaDixon it did make my hair grow longer quite fast, but then it all fell out. Black women with think hair can get away with it too. But, if you have naturally porous and thin hair, it doesn’t.
@@lucycarola oh that's really interesting, I wonder why that is
