How I cover my grey hair naturally | Natural brown hair dye (step-by-step tutorial)

  • I've been slowly developing more and more grey hair over the past few years. It started when I was 18 and I've been trying to hide it since.
    But it's come to the point where plucking and pulling out the greys just aren't enough. There are too many of them. So, I've turned to this natural brown hair dye to help cover up my greys. It's the closest thing to my natural hair colour, and works really effectively at covering up any grey hair I have.
    I hope you will enjoy the video! Sending you so much love and big hugs! ♥
    ❤ Vanessa

    How do you do touch ups? Do you just do the roots of the full head application again? If full head, does the previously hennaed hair come out darker than the roots?

    • @VanessaDixon
      @VanessaDixon  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I usually apply full coverage every six weeks to my hair, and I've found it hasn't left parts of my hair looking darker than others, but I also choose a henna hair dye that matches my natural colour, so it's not so noticeable

    Dessert shadow or light mountain?

      Oh nothing's wrong with light mountain, it's a great henna brand. I still use it sometimes. I started using this one as I could collect it from a store near me so I didn't need to pay for delivery.

    I tried henna on my white hair, and it gave a coppery hair color. No, I don’t want that. What should I do? Please help me. Is the henna you are using the same as the henna found in Arab countries?

    • @VanessaDixon
      @VanessaDixon  Před 3 měsíci

      Oh yes it can leave that colour if you're using pure henna, as it stains red. I use a henna that's mixed with a natural brown element to give a more brown colour

    • @nouralhouda9820
      @nouralhouda9820 Před 3 měsíci +1

      I do not think that there is mixed henna in my country.. there is nothing other than pure henna. Are there natural ingredients that I mix with pure henna to give a brown color?

      Another question, please.. I now use a decoction of rosemary, sage, and black tea. Does this help with dyeing white hair over time?

    • @VanessaDixon
      @VanessaDixon  Před 3 měsíci

      @nouralhouda9820 oh okay, there are natural ingredients you can mix with the henna. Indigo is recommended, but again I'd recommend doing some research to make sure you're using ingredients to achieve the colour you desire for your hair

    Henna is NOT good for curly hair. I have SLE related alopecia areata and it made it way worse. Maybe this doesn’t happen to everyone, but I consulted with some Indian and other south Asian friends and they confirmed it works better on naturally oily hair.
