    www.rockymount...
    The GYTR Power Tuner is a self-contained unit that runs off 2 AA batteries for straightforward fuel and ignition mapping. The GYTR tuner gives you an array of functions. 9 custom maps can be saved or edited with fuel and ignition each having 9 points of adjustment for a selection of maps each unique to course conditions or rider preference. When hooked up to the bike, your GYTR tuner’s monitor functions let you take in data from multiple sensors, meaning you can adjust idle timing, see run time hours, and check the self-diagnosis tool for an understanding of your bike’s operation that is hard to get without the GYTR Power Tuner. And with its non-volatile memory, you won’t lose any maps or data if the batteries die or are changed out. Create custom maps that fit your preferences like a glove with Yamaha’s GYTR Power Tuner.
    Available in a kit with the tuner and ECU together for WR's or separately for other Yamaha models.

    Hey! I have a 18 WR250F. Already freed up the air intake and exhaust restrictions on the bike. Do i need to get the Comp ECU or the power tuner? My reasoning being that if i get the tuner i can tune the ECU and i wont have to buy the comp ECU. On the other hand, if i get the Comp ECU, is it true that i wont need the power tuner? Cheers!

    I bought used wr450f 2016 with akrapovic full system and I got power tuner with it so I can change maps... does it mean I have competition ecu in it or it does not have to be like that? How can I check do I have a comp ecu? Power tuner works on oem ecu or just competition ecu? Thanks!

    I don’t get it. Why do I need a power tuner for
    My 2019 WR450F if I have the phone app. What’s the benefit of the power tuner?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 5 lety +1

      The power tuner gives you a broader range of changes you can make to your bikes EFI. However, for the average rider, the APP for the new bikes is plenty of adjustability in my opinion. - Chase

    So, on 2018 WR450F, it requires the kit(ecu & tuner)? It was very hard to follow the way he explained it. Had to rewind and watch again to figure out.

    2019 WR250F - Do I need the ECU and the Tuner or can I just use the ECU? It doesn't sound like the 2019's allow you to use the app.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 4 lety

      On the 2019 WR250F you can buy just the Competition ECU which will allow you to use wide open throttle or you can get the GYTR Power Tuner/Competition Kit ECU if you want to make finer tuning changes.
