- The #DungBeetle has been away for a few years and a few things have gotten in the way of us getting it back and testing it's new #subaru powerplant (COURTESY OF @MisfireMotorsports )
Now after, Covid and filming our spin-off build show, and traveling the country for NPK, the Dung Beetle is Back! We are going to start testing and tuning as soon as we get a new clutch in it!

They haven't gone big bucks making "street" cars that are actually full on race cars, whether they are racedon the streets or the track. That's not Farmtruck and Azn.
I do say that to shade the ones who did build race cars, because they have built some beautiful cars, and have tons of talent to drive those cars safely.
Big Chief and Jackie, I still support them, and give them huge respect for the direction that they have been going. Those two, talk about talent! They've got it going on.

Shit has gone to the moon in racing within the last 15 years. I think strict rules that allow the regular people to compete would be cool.
That's why they started no prep
@@Stevesbe those are $109k plus built cars. Full tube chassis, high dollar engines race cars. Even the earliest shows if street outlaws were getting to be full tube chassis cars. These two stayed true to the original street racing.

Nice seeing the dung beetle getting some attention! My parents owned a 72. It was the car I learned how to drive a manual in when I was 11 & became my 1st car at 15. I had a ton of fun driving that car especially if the roads/streets(dirt,oil top,gravel,asphalt or concrete in E.Tx.)or parking lots were wet,iced over,snowy or muddy. That car taught me a lot about car control believe or not. Thanks Lou & all of the FNA team for all the hard work on the projects & for bringing us along for the ride! Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for y'all!

I love the modern list racing as well as the NPK racing but I have to admit, I'm super excited about everyone going back to real deal street cars and racing. The other stuff is awesome but it's nice to be able to identify with the kind of racing that is accessible to most people. I did a lot of street racing when I was young and most of what we raced were just mildly modified factory street cars. You drove it there, raced it, drove it home and then drove it to school, work or both the next day. I think think this is going to be very popular!

I had a brain fart, was thinking the look of the beetle reminded me of the welder up series and then you guys switched to the clip of Steve Darnell cutting the flames into the hood. I feel kind of dumb because now that you showed it I do remember. I'm slow but I get there eventually.
If I'm remembering correctly, it made around 500 at the tire and it only weighs in the neighborhood of 2500lbs. The power-weight ratio is crazy and I've seen him chop super exotics with ease. You don't need a big tire to compete when you have all of your weight over the rear. The Dung Beetle is ready to break hearts folks. Glad to see AZN back in the saddle too! Y'all are kicking ass and I hope Lou and Ed have pencils ready to take names. Keep keeping guys and we'll keep watching!
I've been wanting to build a Nissan B13 v8 rwd, they weigh 2,200lbs full weight n would make for a fast ride if gutted but they're hard to find now..

Small tire racing is still big no prep there are guys all over the USA every weekend lining up and getting down. I would say there are more small tire cars in no prep then there is big tire. I have been to some events where there may be 5 to 10 big tire cars to 30 to 40 small tire guys so it`s still going strong.
