It would be great if you could get Andre to do some blind tastings. I find watching an expert piece together the puzzle of a mystery wine helps a lot with the audience build their own knowledge of how to taste.
Konstantin Baum sometimes does that, it's a really fun channel if you're into wine

I recently had a 1961 Dom Perignon that somehow managed to still have some bubbles and hadn’t spoiled, barely tasted like champagne at that point (more like brandy) but was still an incredible experience
I had a 1975 veuve last week and it was insane, so nutty and popcorny, and the dried fruit and the acid were still all there! It was a real treat!
That's brilliant. My parents are turning 80 next year and sourcing a vintage bottle of champagne might be a really cool present. Event if it turns out to be corked.

As an amateur wine drinker but someone who has a pretty decent beer palate - I would love to drink wine with Andre - he isn't pretentious and is super educational.

I bought a $50 bottle of VC 15 years ago. It was a whole different thing than any champagne I'd ever had. Might do it again, one more time.
I was relieved when the '73 didn't end up poisoning the poor guy lol
as a recovering alcoholic i can enjoy these videos based on pure art of wine because of Andre and find a different respect for it
Visited veuve and had a private tour and bought all of these and brought them back to the US. The vintages especially the rosé had a much stronger taste with deeper notes. Trying them all was pretty amazing the whole experience was great!

When I saw the whirled up sediment, my first thought was mother of vinegar. 😂 I‘m glad it was "only" oxidized, not champagne vinegar.

The effect of oxygen over time is fascinating regardless of what it is reacting with. It brings so much electronegativity that drives so many reactions. Neat.
Oldest bottle I've managed to get is an '88 Deutz Grand Cuvee, and it was absolutely fantastic. Easily in my top 3 wines I've consumed.
