ABOUT BON APPÉTIT
Bon Appétit is a highly opinionated food brand that wants everyone to love cooking and eating as much as we do. We believe in seasonal produce, properly salted pasta water, and developing recipes that anyone can make at home. - Jak na to + styl
Andre needs his own travel show with industry interviews, keep the celeb thing going, show us great wine destinations, and maybe regular reviews with recommendations at various price points. He is very informative, entertaining, and comes across as a dude who really loves wine and his enthusiasm is one of the best parts of his brand.
Completely agree
For real; he is so funny & engaging.
FACTS!
Yeah. Overdue
Agreed!
“I like wine if it’s good, and this wine is good.” That is the best attitude I can imagine a sommelier having. Love this series!
It is a sham. He is a Somolian, he should have tried everything already. That is his job. But it doesn't seem like he has tried nothing.
@@cowsmuggler1646 somolian
@@pasteldequeijo6194 It is sommelier you creiton. I misspelled it on purpose. Somali area a people.

Gotta love Andre! He’s so lovely to listen to and takes the pomp and circumstance out of the equation, which I adore.
He's a smellier
Sorry to be a bore, but I believe the phrase you are looking for is ‘pomp and ceremony’!
@@jasperfk no it’s pomp and circumstance
As a French guy evolving in wines since I was born basically, this series is pure gold, seeing a passionate and honest sommelier who has such knowledge and who is such comfortable and convincing about his job is extremely useful for all people who want to step-up their experience on the topic. And I'm extremely surprised by his speed to detect flavors, he has a great nose for sure.
This man really knows how to explain why the french champagne has always been celebrated for its' excellence!
mmmMMhAHHHHhh
7:35 South Africa has been making wine since the mid 17th century and has some of the most magnificent wine regions in the world: Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Paarl, etc. are just stunning places to visit for wine lovers - some of our wine farms are older than the most celebrated in Europe.
I would love to see more South African wines featured on the channel!
Brilliant host. Eloquent, highly knowledgable and most importantly, he’s got great energy.
He can't even pronounce terroir
@@eastonjanecek9802 nobody needs you here
@@eastonjanecek9802 actually he can. His intonation is a little different but we both understood exactly what he meant so you’re criticising for no good reason. Just say you dislike and discredit him because he’s black. It’s easier if you just own your prejudice instead of hiding behind one tiny critique. If it was a white host slightly mispronouncing ‘terroirs’ you wouldn’t feel the need to comment publicly. As Eterno said, nobody needs (or wants) you here.
@@eterno2457 couldn’t agree more
@@bossman674 Speaking of, you don't call a Black person eloquent it implies that for some reason we shouldn't be. He's a professional sommelier, eloquence is part of the job it shouldn't be shocking.
They should curate wine boxes for each video so we can taste along with him!
He does one, have you seen it?
Sounds like a patreon tier.
Hard to sell $1,000+ tastings....
With André on the thumbnail, I'm automatically liking it and bookmarking whatever he's suggesting.
Andres series is the greatest content y’all have ever created.
I almost agree, I put him second to Brad on “it’s alive”
I absolutely adore Andre! In some ways I wish he had a regularly scheduled video, but then I realize how much my day is made by a surprise Andre Mack video. 🥂
In Australia, we pronounce it as Chook, not shook - the Ch is like Charge. It means chicken. Sparkling shiraz is my go to - it's lovely.
Even in America it is pronounced that way. This guy just didn’t do his homework… loses massive credibility points for me!
I was like why is he trying to make it sound french, Australians aren’t that fancy 😆
True story: My ex girlfriend got a bottle of Cristal for her 21st birthday and made mimosa’s with it.
That’s when I knew it was over 😂
It’s the car sounds
Not all Cristal is US$550. Some vintages are like US$200, which is not expensive
😂
@@A1steak Maybe that's not expensive for a high end champagne but it's still way too expensive to mix with oj lol
Probably the best she could do with it.
Much nicer champagne to buy for this money
I love when Andre tells the camera crew to try the wines, it really shows his passion for spreading knowledge and joy 😊
Plus it is sparkling wine which ought to be drunk right then, so it must have been some party!
Andre is by far my favorite on your channel! His knowledge of wine and how he breaks it down is refreshing, easy to understand, and relatable. And yes, my Nanny had this butterscotch candies too!!
Down to earth, knowledgeable, charming, entertaining and educational, just the sort of person you want to have a couple of glasses with. I say this everytime but someone has to pick him up for his own show.
Literally the definition of an expert. Love this series.
Fast becoming my favourite wine channel. Easy to understand, not over the top, lot to learn, funny and down to earth no nonsense. Kudos!
I love this guy. Very nice to have peak expertise delivered in the way he does. Actually draws people in to be curious and more knowledgable in seemingly pompous topics such as wine tasting, when it's all about fun and amazing discoveries. I hope these vids keep going!
Such a high quality series. Andre is personable, knowledgable, and funny. You can feel the passion he has, makes it a great watch.
I have to say thanks to people like André I really do find wine interesting. So much so if I ever establish a Mt. Rushmore of Sommeliers André would be on it.
Yeah right... name 3 other sommeliers lmao
Give this series his name already. He is not just a Sommelier, he is Andre, he is a sommelier, but he is much morge than that.
Great series, really enjoy watching it
I love anything Andre is involved with! Keep having him on here please!
I love this series with Andre! He has definitely made me want to step up my wine game! I’m Always taking notes😌👌🏾
Love watching his takes on different wine! You can tell he's a fun person to drink around!
I love how accessible and relatable these videos feel despite me not knowing a thing about wine.
Yes, I always love an André video! I appreciate that he talks about wine like a normal person. His explanations are always super accessible, and he doesn’t rub his expertise in your face. He would be a great teacher!
BA needs more Andre Mack!! Thank you for highlighting sparkling reds!! Such a great series!!
I really enjoy Andre and as a beginning wine guy his descriptions and tasting notes are so informative and interesting.
This guy, and this series, is THE BEST! Keep 'em coming!
I am SO excited when a new Andre video is released. These are the best, he makes me want to be a sommelier, or at least enjoy even more wine.
André Hueston Mack videos are my favorite! He's informative in a way that empowers his audience! Ilove it!
Please make 1000 more videos. They are so informative and down to earth. Great job.
Andre makes wine so approachable, and his explanation of wine terms is stellar. I also loved his answer to the question about Pet Nats being "polarizing." Nicely done sir!!
Bro honestly this man has so much wisdom about wine. I love it for myself and for my job lol. Andre is the best som
Obsessed with Andre Mack!!! Telling everyone and anyone I know about him 🥰🥰
I drink champagne whenever I feel like it, and the celebration is life every single time
I just started watching, and I'm going to buy The Chook! Keep it coming!!!
I respect and enjoy Andre, his passion and approach. Keep up the great content my man!
Thanks for this video, now I can be a smartass at the parties and go "oh, this wine was made in cold regions, because It doesn't have much alcohol, hence, it was harvested early"🍷🍷🍷
Always show up for Andre! He started my wine journey
I could watch him all day! So informative and zero pretentious attitude. Keep it coming Bon Appetit! 😊
Love the content as a sparkling wine aficionado! Particularly appreciate muting the sound of Andre’s typical tasting/rinsing in his mouth that I have seen and had to listen to in other videos lol
Don't worry Andre, I got your back on the butterscotch candy lol. Love your videos! As someone who has recently taken an interest in wine and finds in a bit overwhelming, your videos are incredibly helpful!! Keep rocking!!
Always happy to see more of Andre!
I can appreciate your knowledge and more than anything the simplicity that you use to explain and to make us understand the art of wine
Thank you Andre. Slowly but surely you are helping with my understanding about wine. Great video today.
I find protected name places super interesting, I'd love to watch a series about the different ones that exist, their unique histories, and what type of items they specialize in. I only know of a few of them, but they're all cool
Yay! My favorite videos... educational and entertaining! Thank you!!
Very knowledgeable and delivers the information in a relaxed non-intimidating way! I want to try the blanc de blanc and the sparkling Shiraz😬
This is amazing…very insightful. Love it!
Awesome, very well spoken . Thanks for sharing
André is such a legend. this series is electric. More André content plz
You make such a good job André, linking the wine nerds with your knowledge and the people who are interested in wine but maybe feel intimidated (or bored sometimes). It is informative, educative and enjoyable - and hopefully delicious for you. :) keep it up
I love these segments! More please!
just going to throw out that I've convinced the expert at my local indie wine shop that I'm fancy, all because of you. So thanks for that.
Our favorite bubbles by far is Billicart Salmon Rosé. After doing comparisons with Cristal, and Dom and other champagnes that are super expensive and spoken of so highly, when it comes to an outstanding glass of bubbles each and every time, I'll spend my money on the Billicart Salmon Rose when I can afford it. :-) Loved the video. Thanks again for always posting such great videos.
Another amazing video. Thanks for the great content.
I love Andre's approach -- that wine is for everybody, but that the lore and technicalities are interesting in themselves. He has a very sensitive palate, huge knowledge, but also a sense of proportion and humour, and absolutely zero snobbery. And this video, like a truly great Champagne, has a wonderful finish.
Really loved that video, I wish André makes more of them.
Proud South African so happy to get a mention here! We have an incredible wine industry!
I am always waiting for the next vid. Andre is so knowledgable and entertaining. I would love to see him out exploring vineyards all over the world.
YES!!
I'm moving to London ! You are getting me so excited ! I can drive to a lot of the best vineyards in France!! ❤️!
Yet again I will say this is the best content BA is putting out. More more more.
So glad BA introduced me to André! My favorite food & wine reviewer ever! His insta is so good
WOOHOOO a new video ! Love this dude
I love these types of videos. Keep ’em coming.
The best review of sparkling wine. I learned lots. Thanks.
I keep watching André’s videos totally fascinated by what he is saying even though I don’t drink alcohol…so interesting!
I'm really enjoying this world tour with Andre! It's so interesting to learn about all of the different styles of sparkling wine, and all of the things that go into making it, through these examples. I don't want to try every one of these wines, since some of them don't sound interesting to me, and I don't even drink much wine--but even the ones I don't want to drink gave me ideas about other wines I might enjoy.
Love these videos! That lamp is so beautiful!
I enjoy his content soooo much. I just enjoy listening to him.
The COLOR of that chateau deluxe. omg. Gorgeous. I wanna try it.
I adore Andre. Watching these videos has taught me a lot in a very laid back way. Nothing snobby about it…wine should be more straight forward and videos like this prove that it can be.
Portugal has some great sparklings too! Nice video Mak!
Will be adding these to my list. Thank you!
love this series. Andre is the best
I can watch Andre everyday! And I agree we should be drinking more sparkling wine.
The reason I subscribe to this channel is his wine experience educating me
He is literally the only reason I still watch ANYTHING on BA. Ya'll better be paying him!!!!!
Why wouldn't they?
They used to have a solid team of regular chefs making content for them. Some of them protested and essentially quit because they weren't being paid the same as their white coworkers. They were being asked for their expertise and helping out with content for various, and not being compensated for it, and that was only one of the issues they spoke out about. This channel didn't upload anything at all for about 6 months after. Some of the chefs chose to stay, others left. So naturally people wonder if the company has changed at all. It was pretty sad.
@@punxie89 Its almost as if people are paid for what they are hired for. If someone is hired for an article and not for video content, they'd be paid different.
Y'all found the Harold of sommeliers. I love this dude. Very informative but in a format for us normal people. More please!
This series is awesome. Andre is the man!
Go Andre Go!!! We love you!
I've learned a lot in 17 minutes ! Thank you André !
I love watching experts talk about their subjects!!!
Shramsberg is my favorite!!! My wife and I had it on our honeymoon 19 years ago in Napa. So happy he featured it!
Great video as always Mr. Mack! And yes my grandmama had those butterscotch candies, in fact i choked on one at her house as a child and had a near death experience! 😳 Thank goodness I survived to be able to enjoy great wines. (Though not $500 bottles yet!)
I always love these videos!
He’s great and I respect his honesty. Only thing for me is I’d love to have seen his take on a couple of my faves, say, Krug vintage and Dom Ruinart.
Love these videos. So interesting
I would love to see you tasting a whole lineup of wines you don't like, not necessarily that they're bad, but explaining what's unappealing about them for yourself
Love this guy. Keep him on the team please.
Give Andre a BIGGER budget, this man’s a national treasure
Really one of the better wine lessons I have heard.
Absolutely love Andre!
Fantastic video. I’m inspired to buy 5 of these, learn more about them, and have a few friends over for a bubble party.
This is an amazing video review with so much nicely put together explanation, however I think you should also try Franciacorta - Ca Del Bosco/Bellavista // Spumante such as Giulio Ferrari 1998/2000 and Moscato D'Asti :)
Thanks for nice video.
I had a bottle of vintage cristal after selling my house, it was amazing. Toasted and very complex. I thought was worth it!
So glad you liked the Prosecco😊😊
