@@epiceman273 @Sin Full it looks more like a Super Emerald (the size looks similar to the size of the Super Emeralds that appear on the pillars surrounding the Master Emerald in Sonic Adventure at the shrine in the past).
Though, the emerald looks really huge on top of the temple in the waterfall scene of the trailer, I'm certain that one is the Master Emerald, though I don't know if that's the same emerald as the one shown by Eggman earlier in the trailer.

I was hesitant about Idris Elba voicing Knuckles...but this trailer convinced me. He sounds and looks AWESOME 🤩
Very excited for this movie, looks like it's gonna be a fun time!
As did I. I thought Jason Momoa would've been a better choice. But after hearing this, and remembering that Knuckles is supposed to be quite an opposite hero to Sonic, I'm sold!
@@MariusWales didn't even consider him, but Jason would've worked well too. Heck, with his hair down he even kinda looks like the human equivalent of Knuckles haha. Regardless, I'm just glad Knuckles looks and sounds like the tough kickbutt character everyone sees him as 😁

Jeff Fowler seems like a smart man. He made the first film emotional with Sonic's loneliness, etc. This time he's going for the Sonic Adventure vibe and he probably knows how popular that game was. I really hope this film will be as good as it looks!
What’s cool is the way he runs through them to also mirrors the storyboards for the game’s cutscenes.
In reality in that film there were A LOT of Sonic Adventure references

Nobody's talking about all of the adventure gane locations shown in this trailer. You won my subscription why are you the only person to recognize these locations in the movie I love that so much nostalgia is hitting me in my heart.
I recognised them all instantly, all of the references. My guess is that a lot of people like Sonic to some extent but don’t follow the games enough to get a lot of these references and locations unfortunately. But this trailer really pays homage to what Sonic is about, even the redesign trailer for the first movie felt a bit bland looking back on it compared to this

Fun fact: Mr. Needlemouse is a mistranslation that Sega's western marketing started rolling with (most notably with Project Needlemouse). The actual Japanese says Mr. "Harinezumi". Now harinezumi could theoretically be translated as needle mouse since hari means needle and nezumi means mouse, but harinezumi as one word is actually just the Japanese word for hedgehog. So the proper translation for Sonic's original name is actually Mr. Hedgehog. Yuji Naka actually ranted about this on Twitter last year because he got a question in an official Sega quiz wrong because he had never heard of Mr. Needlemouse before, only Mr. Hedgehog.

Yes, yes, yes, this is how Knuckles felt back in za day. He was my favourite character when I was a kid and this movie has reignited that feeling of Knux being awesome.

Mystic Ruins, Sonic Adventure references, chili dogs, the Master Emerald, Tails and Knuckles, Knuckles starts as a villain, etc. they're following the games lore and that makes me SO HAPPY!!! 🤍🔥

Well, I think it's safe to say that your Sonic trailer reaction always seem to evoke incredibly intense reactions in one way or the other. Sega and Paramount might want to put out disclaimers about the potential of outbursts for Sonic movie trailers from now on. 😛
Joking aside, that was a really good reaction and breakdown vid. To see how this series has gone from looking like a disaster in the making to show-stealing premieres is no doubt a credit to the team's commitment to do right by Sonic fans. It's something we shouldn't take for granted, honestly.

This movie has me so hyped, i've been a Sonic fan all my life and having a series I love so much being widely mainstream and successful again, well you mirrored my feelings in your reactions perfectly, pure unadulterated joy.
That look on knuckles face when he catches sonic is magnificent, it's like the games and comics truly coming to life, so exactly spot on..

I don't expect any official media to acknowledge Hyper again. We don't even know if they'll reach Super this movie.

I did not expect such a brutal fight in a family movie between Sonic and Knuckles. Well, the design of all the characters is simply amazing, you can immediately see that this movie is being shot by a fan of this universe.

I love the fact that we have a sequel all because those behind the first Sonic movie listened to the fans and changed the first Sonic design. This is all because they listened and it paid off big time.
