  • An electric car is a car that is propelled by one or more electric motors, using energy stored in rechargeable batteries. Compared to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, electric cars are quieter, have no exhaust emissions, and lower emissions overall. In the United States, as of 2020, the total cost of ownership of recent EVs is cheaper than that of equivalent ICE cars, due to lower fueling and maintenance costs.
The main cost driver of an electric car is its battery. The price decreased from €600 per kWh in 2010, to €170 in 2017, to €100 in 2019
Electric cars are critically important to the future of the automobile industry and to the environment; however, the form the electric car will ultimately take and its acceptance by the public are still uncertain. Consumption of decreasing oil supplies, concerns over air and noise pollution, and pollution caused (and energy consumed) by abandoned cars and the complications of recycling gasoline-powered cars are all driving forces that seem to be pushing toward the success of the electric car.

Imagine designing, engineering, building, coding, and testing these car factory machines, like there is so many tiny little moving parts, I don’t understand how it’s possible

I agree. I always loved the stand up bit (can't remember who maybe Greg Geraldo) where's he's like, "idk how any of this shit in my life works, cell phones, satellites providing the Internet, my toaster... if all the smart people who designed this world die, we are _FUCKED_ . Who here knows how stage lights work? Anyone in the crowd? Nobody? Thought so."

Currently there are 5 different flavors. The "weakest" one called just "Taycan" with about 502 HP. The "strongest" is "Taycan Turbo S" (a bit of a misnomer since electric engines don't have Turbo) with 750 HP. It can do 0-100 km/h in 2.6s, but all models have a limiter that keeps them at 260 km/h max.

If aluminum is good enough for electric cars, why not gas powered cars? Yes the cost would be higher but cars already too expensive. The weight savings would pay tremendous over the life of the car? Great video thank you for posting.

one I'm against electric vehicles second of all their cost too much to for them they're not worth the money they're selling for they're taking jobs away from other people and their words to have in the environment of the electric vehicles plus it cost you to charge your vehicle if you traveling around town they charge you for it so what's the point to have unless it vehicle you cannot travel with it what you have to stop every 200 miles or every miles to charge your vehicle up wrong don't believe in it and I think it's wasting taxpayers money farted governing money to build these vehicles
