- Bonjour,
We're super busy with building works at the moment and are making so much progress! I hope to share an update on the renovations of our farmhouse soon!
My parents came to visit from the Netherlands and we decided to go to the beautiful city of Dijon. You can take a walk in the city center passing the most beautiful buildings and sites to see. We had never done that before! Of course I am taking you with me. Let me know what you think!
Thank you for being here and for your support!
Love,
Marloes

The architecture of the city and the stained-glass windows of the cathedral are just beautiful!! Thank you for sharing your time with your family in Dijon!
We ate lunch across from the marketplace a few years ago. We were there on a day, Monday?, that the market was closed. Thank you for great memories

I loved Dijon, such a beautiful city.
Thank you again for this beautiful visit.
❤
Marloes. That was spectacular! I know your parents loved it. I don’t get to see architecture like that in southern Arizona. I was over the moon. Your graciousness for filming it for the rest of us demonstrates what a wonderful spirit you have. You’re wonderful. Thanks for filling my head with all these dreamy images!
How very lovely! Thank you for sharing. So nice for your family to get to visit.
Thanks for sharing. Dijon looks like it would be a lovely place to live.
That was a wonderful video. I really enjoyed seeing Dijon

I love it! Thanks for sharing!
What a lovely city. Thank you for the tour. 🦉❤
One of the most splendid of France's great regional capitals. Seeing the arches and tympana of Nôtre Dame defaced either by iconoclasts during the Reformation or the French Revolution reminds us that destructive iconoclasm has many causes and can break out at any time. Some of it comes from government itself and real estate developers now. The center of Dijon used to be protected by a status called secteur sauvgardé. Macron has weakened that protection and shows many signs of ill intent towards France's historic patrimony.
Wow, this information is so intriguing. There are so many symbolic meanings in all the details in the buildings, it’s like stories being told. I agree it is such a shame if it would get lost!
That was just beautiful. The old buildings are spectacular. I really enjoy your channel.
Love seeing you and beautiful Dijon! 😍😍
I love the architecture and atmosphere. So beautiful. Thank you for showing.
Love Dijon! Have not been there in many years. It’s a vibrant city with so many young people and students.
How beautiful is the architecture ❤
merci pour cette visite à bientôt😀😀😀💗💗💗
Bonjour! Ce fût un plaisir de faire cette visite virtuelle de Dijon! I lived in Europe for a while and now back living in the Laurentides in Québec! You are right Dijon is a place worth visiting and you captured the essence of this wonderful corner of the world! I enjoy many of your videos since often, for me, it is a walk down memory lane !!! Thank you! Bedankt! Merci 🙏
Merci! Happy to hear you enjoyed the video!
I' be been there many years ago. Thanks for sharing
This is the first time I’ve heard of the owl trail. I have a fondness for owls, would love to see it someday.
Two things about France that astound me....the number of statues/sculptures throughout the city (Paris+) and all of the outdoor markets, well-stocked and varied with products, everywhere. Not so in the usa. Well done video. Hope your parents enjoyed their visit.
Wow thankyou that was beautiful 💗
My pleasure!
I’m so happy and grateful to have discovered you and have been watching all of your videos on repeat. I think you do a splendid job sharing your life with us. You resonated with me because my daughter and her partner have an Ayurvedic retreat in the mountains here in Northern California and like your family, is constantly building, tending the herb and vegetable garden, cooking and cleaning for their guests. It is constant work of guests, and also the land requirements to keep their place running. It so parallels what you are doing. She also like you enjoys the process-so I do enjoy watching you and wish you well. The history of the cities you visit and the stunningly beautiful countryside are so pleasurable to see.
Thank you to you and your family.
Thank you for being here!
Sjiek en sjoen !
I study here!
Hi, loved this vlog, and such good timing. We have booked our visit to Dijon in early May. Now looking forward to it even more! From Lidwina in Australia.
Oh how exciting! Enjoy visiting our beautiful region!
WOW. We are looking forward to our visit in June. Can’t wait.
Lovely to travel vicariously through your vlogs. I really appreciate seeing this beautiful place . Thank you so much for sharing.💞🕊️ From Tucson Arizona USA 🌵
my pleasure!
Really lovely! Thank you for taking us along. Loved the tapestry. Was that a reproduction of the original from the 1500's or the original? So wonderful to be able to pop into the car and see these places. It's a long way from snowy New Hampshire in the US. Thank you again.
Beautiful video! You always instill in me a desire to move to France. I love what you show and thank you so much. Its my escape from the reality of life in America today.
Love this 💜 Thank you for being here.
Salut from the tropics of Palm Beach! We touched the owl from here and it works! Merci
😀
👍👍👍
Schitterende stad, inderdaad. Ik ga er zeker nog eens voor een 2e keer naar toe. Nu weet ik eindelijk waar jij de mosterd haalt ;-))
haha!
What a delightful tour you gave us today. Who needs a passport and jet lag when you can see the sights in good company, from your armchair in Australia.
Thank you! This comment makes me so happy!
Mustard anyone?
From what I’ve seen Dijon would be a better place to visit than Paris. Less crowds and just as beautiful.
I think both are beautiful and have reasons to visit but indeed France has SO many beautiful places to visit!
Do you and your husband speak fluent French?
I actually studied French literature in university and worked for a French company for some time, so I already spoke French when we moved here 4 years ago. My husband really manages pretty well, he learned the language from living here, french friends and working with local builders.
