The tattoo at 4:00 is very similar to patterns on skin if someone got struck by lightning. Usually it reveals the veins which results in the "tree-like" structure. That's my speculation on what that is
I lived with a cosplay influencer once and it was the worst experience of my life. She would hide cleaning supplies from me, deny she ever touched them, then tell thousands of people that I don’t clean enough, with added fake stories. Expected me to fund her shopping addiction, and pay her rent for six months so she could afford to buy a house. And who is everyone gonna believe the famous girl pretending to be a victim, or the girl no one has heard of. I will never live with an influencer again
Turns out Jeff Okun is a pretty successful visual effects producer. He's surpervised visual effects for plenty of films such as Stargate, The Last Samurai, Deep Blue Sea, and Die Hard 2. According to IMDB, he even inspired Dr. Okun in Independence Day. Sounds like a total lad.

There are a few "content houses" that are good and what sets them apart from the others is that the people in the good ones actually like each other as opposed to people only trying to make money.
Alisha marie had an unofficial content house and I feel that's what made it perfect. They were all roommates who worked together in the entertainment industry and yet stayed pretty much independent when it comes to their finances and etc. Everyone has moved out but it was nice to see them all enjoying themselves while creating content
The people he was talking about were most likely believers of Santeria. Basically, Santeria is a weird kind of Christian voodoo cult, doing all sorts of weird rituals. My dad dated a Santeria girl once, he walked into her house and her mom was cutting off a chickens head and when my dad went to dip (because of course he did) she said “wait no don’t leave it’s starting” and he said “I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS STARTING AND I DONT WANT TO KNOW”. The last time he was with her, he walked into her house for I think it was her cousins birthday and every single jar on the walls (they had a bunch of shelves of jars lined across each wall) immediately fell at the same time, right when he walked into the room. He took that as a sign from god to get the hell out of there.

Sidemen, AMP, OTK and 2Hype are some of the few content “houses” that lasted more than a year. Something they all have in common is that they were already friends and individually successful before creating a group
I remember the COD Zombies CZcamsrs did a content house, but they did it for only a certain amount of time, made a special event out of it, and they're all friends before going in, not only a work relationship.
I love how that video that "proves" the neighbors hosed them down doesn't even show the person behind the hose. It very easily could have been one of the house members, and no one would know because of that massive bush. It proves absolutely nothing.
Amusing aside: Jeff Okun was one of my professors at film school, and was one of the biggest names in SFX through the mid-90s, working on flicks like Stargate. Can confirm that he’s a total sweetheart, which makes this situation all the more tragic.
I was scrolling to see who recognized him. I don’t care who you are, when you spend a ton of money on a home the expectation is that this kind of thing won’t be happening next door. I feel so bad for them. It’s basically Neighbors in real life.
stick a bunch of narcissistic people in one house with the expectation for them to charade a young, hot, energetic and picturesque social media life together all day everyday? what could go wrong
There was a great book called “Killer Content” and while it’s obviously not that extreme it does give a decent kind of idea into how it is and what can go on. Would really suggest it
A "resident mom" would really help maintain the houses, someone needs to make sure things are clean, neighbors are being respected, and above all, everyone is safe!! Ideally over the age of 30, and not trying to scam barely legal adults
Yea, that’s what I tried to do. But today, everyone is a professional victim. So imagine a bunch of kids with a huge platform decide they don’t like the house mom’s rules anymore - they pick a narrative (maybe given to them by a reporter or a behemoth talent agency) and then you’re screwed. If you fight back against the kids who lied - you’re a petty, weird adult and if you stay quiet, your business is destroyed and you get the reputation of being a scammer. This experience trying to help these kids was traumatic.

Literally went to school with the kids from Drip Crib. They beat their girlfriends. One time, they actually took one of their girlfriends phones for simply talking to one of my friends and broke it on the cafeteria floor. These are real case studies in narcissism. Glad they no longer have a platform, and are on CZcams making rap songs that get 60 views.
The 2% of content houses that work are always a group of friends that actually care about each other if these people just got to know each other i guarantee it'd survive
@@rwandanstarbux1494 Is that really a “failure” though? That’s probably the best successful outcome if they all left on good terms. I haven’t watched them though so pls clarify
@@RetroCube They didn’t “fail” it is just that they were all in different situations, some had school, some diverted from COD Zombies and went to other games, others just wanted to go back home. They were seriously one of the only creator houses that worked.
This whole idea just leaves me incredulous. Like I said before, if these people are claiming to be "just kids", then where the hell were their parents? This whole thing just screams "bad idea" to me, and there were so many obvious signs, so did their parents have anything to say? On top of that, what brand deals did they think they were going to attract with their actions? Like... who is going to care about your parties? They weren't actively making anything, so what's the incentive for a brand deal? You have to show value to make money, but no one had a proper plan. It should have been obvious that they were going to get hosed.
Man if you're like 16 and know basically zero about business or really money in general, suddenly get famous and get told you're somehow special for doing shit on the internet, and someone makes you what seems to you like a dream offer (that your parents are just cool with it apparently), are you really gonna say no? I won't make excuses for a lot of their actual behavior, but in the cases that they're actually literal children (not just young-ish adults people are trying to shift blame off of) its still pretty fucked up to take advantage of them I think
How is this any different from every CZcamsr in 2011 being fucked over by Machinima? Everyone posts for years hoping to get bigger and when someone offers you more opportunities and brand deals (or you think they do) you want it to be real so bad that you won't hesitate. To be honest I've also skipped reading on many of my contracts as a freenlancer.
Most are not just kids. Being 18 is a legal adult and most were 21+. They are blaming normal adult life on their laziness and most are extremely ungrateful.
Van Gogh tried to make a content house, only had Paul Gauguin because his brother wanted to keep an eye on him, and was so destructive, argumentative and unpredictable that they fought constantly and stopped living together very quickly So yeah sounds about right
being around these people sounds absolutely exhausting like millions of followers and flexing with rich shit is not a replacement for an actual personality. nobody wants to be around someone who talks nonstop about work, imagine living in a content house where every resident has tried to commodify every ioata of their existence.
It’s essentially a business relationship, not genuine friendship, plus can’t imagine staying with other self-centred people having to live fake lives for the audiences
Content houses make you realize how psychotic and selfish content creators can be. I am lucky I got out when certain incident made me realize there is a high possibility I might get murdered just becus I was chill and lot closer to normal. Hence why I quit being a content creator and pursue other endeavors
What’s crazy is that all the kids in that content house would kill to have your sub count. You provide lots of people with entertainment and for the most part merely do it from your desk. You never had to do stunts or make an utter fool of yourself. Bravo to you sir.
How inconvenient about how content houses fail because influencers get tired of each other and can't bear to be a group or clan anymore, usually because of EGO.
I think the only content house I've heard that isn't inherently a scam would be Offline TV for the most part. Could be wrong but they seem to be pretty open and honest about shit that happens.
The ZHouse were chill too, 5 Call of Duty zombies CZcamsrs just living inas house and having fun. This was 2016 too, so it was at just about the end of the golden age of CZcams.
The tree tattoo was always just the first thing that pops up when you google something like “cool guy half sleeve”. So when everyone hit 18 or found some dude to tag them in their kitchen, they went for the tree.
I miss old-styled content houses where they were just a bunch of dudes who made lets play videos together. Creaturehub was a good example even with the way it ended.
"Ur mom's house" is an influencer house doing it well. They operate individual businesses as friends and the content house acts as only a physical location. No sharing model. Colin and Samir made a great video about content houses as well.

I’ve worked on a house in Hollywood that was made for content creators. Hands down one of the weirdest and most strict of homes I’ve been to.

"When I was a child my parents had these neighbors that were fucking crazy"
Yes, Charlie, we're aware you're from Florida

A "resident mom" would really help maintain the houses, someone needs to make sure things are clean, neighbors are being respected, and above all, everyone is safe!! Ideally over the age of 30, and not trying to scam barely legal adults
yeah with how sketchy these content houses are, the resident mom is prolly going to scam them as well lol
