I have been working on my design in my head for decades now, I have done many patent searches and many vids here on you tube. I have found a couple of builds that come very close to my own design. I heard about this motor circa 1973, from the Chauffeur of Prem Pal Singh Rowat. Except the Driving Magnets were Halbach Array Switch Release Magnets. They are compact and with minimal effort, transfer the magnetic "Deep Pull Force" from the "Front" to the "Back" with a very "Shallow Pull Force" by a rotation of Diametrically Magnetised Cylinder Rod Magnets through a quarter turn. (Usually five or more cylinder magnets ) The Pull Force on the STRONG SIDE of the array can be several metric tonnes, in a compact mechanism, but with the quarter turn, (almost effortless) almost no pull at all.

    The arrangement of magnets across the top would be too far away to be effective. Consider two geared disk which contain the magnets moving across the top of the cylinders. This way the magnets passing over the "piston magnets" would be much closer. You would need to make the cylinders further apart, and mount the center shaft of the geared disk's between cylinders 1 and 2, and 3 and 4. The geared disk's could be timed and driven by a chain and pinion gear located in the front part where you show a belt drive in your diagram.
    The use of cylinders would cause too much friction. Since there is no need for compression or combustion, you could attach rollers to the sides of the piston magnets to run in guide channels. This way you wouldn't need an electric motor to start it turning. While I don't think it would be powerful enough to use in an automobile, it should be plenty enough power to turn a generator. Just a thought.

  • @no_papertrail
    @no_papertrail Před 6 lety +17

    The repelling force between two magnets is highest when the gap between them is less than 0.1mm. This force drops exponentially with the width of the gap. The magnets in this example are just too far apart (radius+height of rotating magnet), you would need a large construction to move a 2400+ pound car. Larger than would fit under the hood as magnets creating a force of 2400/2=1200pound at a gap of radius+height will be very large (AND very hazardous).
    Obviously a bigger rotating magnet means a larger gap, which will require a bigger magnet, wich will create a larger gap which requires... well, perpetually.
    When a magnets WxHxL are equal, any equally sized magnet stacked on top of it will add only a few percent of extra force. So stacking is no option either (apart from resulting in an even a wider gap).
    FYI: a N45 grade Ne disc magnet of D=200mm and H=50mm will have a force of 1600kg (3527pd) and will set you back for €1021,80.

    Electromagnets controlled by a computer could pull and push to get optimum rotation for counterbalancing the mechanism with gravity as a source of power . If the energy needed to keep the device rotating is smaller than energy created then it could work but as a passive system without variable repulsive electromagnets controlled with precision seems unlikely .

      @@AJ071 yes with much more detail on variable speed adjustments, electronic controlled coils around the cylinders, inside the pistons, cam assemble, transmission to drive a vehicle, etc. there are several problems. Obviously the block can not be metallic. Even aluminum will act magnetic with the motion of the magnets. Distance of magnetic pull means you need a very short stroke even with some very powerful magnets. I also rpm would be limited as when a magnetic spins it loses the push effect and only attracts.

    There is practical difficulty in this way of energy as how far will magnet get piston pushed downward, it will not be able to push it downwards in the cylinder . when the magnet on upper shaft and the magnet in piston cylinder will have negative and positive poles in contact they will attract and further more energy will be needed to separate them. Though there is no harm in trying the idea in case piston is smaller as compare to upper magnet so more power of repelling power is generated to move piston throughout the cylinder.

    As soon as one of the pistons reaches TDC the top shaft magnet will be too strongly attracted to the top of the piston magnet to allow the motor to continue to turn. The flywheel could overcome that for a limited number of revolutions. This would make a better braking system than a generator.

    but there's a grey area, where asymmetries can be achieved, if it does finally work, the energy needs to come either from the energy cost of making the magnets, or from the surroundings, in order not to violate thermodynamics, violation of which is out of the question, it would be like reversing the flow of time.

    Ive tried this, yes before I saw this. The magnetic repulsion is not enough to turn that shaft. Repulsion is almost a constant that is nearly independent from size of magnet. You would need magnets so big that they would start to pull toward each other against the axis of drive. Also the drive torque is too little to drive a belt that could charge an alternator.

      You have to put ice in the cylinders. I think he did nt show it because most every one knows it.

    We should make more flex fuel vehicles like the Chevy volt. You can run it on electricity, or from a flip of a switch, you can run run it on gasoline and go a whole lot further! Also the are hybrids motors, they should make it where you can run it on gasoline and electricity and they should put a middle switch and make it a hybrid. They should make more vehicles that are like that!

      They should also combined that with hho, and and see where it goes from there!

    Well I did this type magnet engine in my final year project in the year 2009 but the design was different from this engine. Lower part of piston and crankshaft were same but the top of the cylinder magnet design is different...neodymium magnet is the best for this type project...

    The engine will not move because attraction and repelsion are equal in power ...you should use 1more st of magnets

    • @DaleSteel
      @DaleSteel Před 5 lety

      Nothing to do with that. If you have 2 negative magnets they will move away from each other as it does in the engine it's not complicated

    to spin the upper crankshaft, i have to make enough force to overcome the magnets polarized trying to stay in-line with the "piston" magnets. Means putting muscular energy to get mechanical energy. Still sticking to the law of "energy can't be created or destroyed" and dismissing the claim of free energy.

    If we add high voltage battery ,and give current to magnet then we control kinetic energy ,and Generater goes and henddle the batteries and motion.

    You forgot the magnets are slowed down by moving in a metal tube. Maybe replace the metal tube with something non metal. And try to get the magents closer to attract and repel.

    i think he has got an idea .But the amount of crankshaft throw or stroke seems to be too big for that kind of magnetic force..if this works then there must be something else below not shown like the same setup at the top where it has a rotating magnetic rail..but hell im just guessing ..
