Thanks for the video! That was a good idea to replace the bolts with ARP, I wasn't going to until you showed it here. And I don't think there is any way around all the coolant mess when pulling off the pump, just get a wider catch pan.
Of course! Glad it was helpful. Yea I’m totally on the mindset of if it doesn’t break the bank, replace parts with slightly better ones “while you’re in there”. The stock bolts looked pretty gross, and didn’t want them to snap when re-torquing back down. Yea that’s a good point. I may invest in a larger catch pan. Hopefully not having to replace the water pump for awhile though 😂
Those hose clamps are better because they expand with pressure. The other style with steel band are easier to to install and remove but actually they lock in the pressure and can’t expand if needed

Went with oem replacement ac delco from rockauto.com and it’s been great!
