14:45 btw, if you don't know, this wasn't some sort of ludicrous luck. BotW has one-hit protection, meaning you won't die in one hit if you have full health (though sometimes you die anyways). It's basically the ability Sturdy from Pokémon.
Also, fun fact, Master Mode removes this protection! So that's fun.

@@highdefinition450 Sometimes you get hit and the initial hit doesnt kill you, but it sends you flying backwards and if u go down any sort of slope, you take fall damage and die from that instead

if you think about it, you actually have a decent chance at getting "lucky" with the locations when you teleport randomly.
because they had to cram so many things into the map when making this game, and important locations need to be large, if you look at how much space Hyrule Castle, the Lost Woods, Gerudo Town, Zora's Domain, Rito Village and Goron City cover on the map, you have a decent chance of being spawned there, especially for Hyrule Castle
Let alone the fact that you are teleported far into the air, allowing you to glide for a fair distance
Well to be honest, I was actually there during the second stream, he basically had to cheat to teleport into hyrule castle at the end, as to not spend three hours waiting for a lucky teleport

@@ND-we8gv i actually got the timing down pretty quick. im pretty damn good at perfect dodging in 1v1s so the blights, ganon, and lynels are pretty easy but i get knocked around and hit a bunch when facing basic shit like bokoblin camps.
There's a video called Something About Zelda: Breath of the Wild Speedrun, and it really puts a hilarious emphasis on the slow drip. Link even checks his watch.

my absolute favorite part about this video is Eric’s commentary that’s edited in afterwards, that plus the beautiful Link visuals give a nice personal touch

Wish you had clarified that you stop teleporting at the Dark Beast Ganon fight! I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen if you teleported away during the end of the game! XD
You can't teleport in Dark Beast Ganon fight because all of the fast travel shrines are disabled.
And also the fact that the Dark Beast Ganon is an interactive cutscene, makes it an exception.
I think if a teleport was still possible, it´d end up in some weird bugged area outside the fight, where barely any npcs load or something. because technically with glitches it´s possible to get out of the barrier around the fight, meaning a teleport would have to be in the barrier or close enough that you could glitch in in time for that to be possible. most likely boring to watch if it gets unlucky with impossible locations, although I think it´s possible to hit from afar maybe too?

Only those who watched the stream would know if this truly happened, but all who watched that stream mysteriously vanished from the face of the Earth later that day, none left to confirm or deny, to this very day we still do not know if he truly won, only pointcrow himself would know the answer to that…

Amazing video! I love how you clipped things together to make multi-phase (or multiple attempts) flow into one another. I do wish there was a swipe on the screen or something to make it a bit more obvious because suddenly the timer below changes. I think it'd just show how much time went into this 23 min video a lot clearer because I know you spent many, and I mean MANY hours on this challenge! Well done!

13:10 I don’t think you need to do any progress for Robbie, though. You can head to his lab straight from the Plateau and get decked out with endgame gear (after hella Rupee grinding)
The thing with this challenge is you can be incredibly unlucky and get teleported into death mountain, or get incredibly lucky and get teleported somwhere really good.
would of been funny to see the full heroes path at the end.

as an additional ruleset for this id allow teleporting ti divine beasts, on the condition that you make it clear you are going to do so before the next teleport and teleport instantly after the auto teleport, no going back on your word, you spawn in and its straight to the beast, even if you teleported directly into the korok forest or a labyrinth or any other amazing teleport
I caught this live and it was pretty strange, just RNG simulator for where you'd land, farming guardians where you could, and hoping you could get a bit of stuff done. But the post-commentary edited vid was really nice! Loved the math on the ancient gear xD

Plot twist: the loading of the cutscreen teleports was really just PointCrow choosing where he wants to teleport.
you should create a speed run category that is just the fight against the blights and Gannon, see how fast they can be beaten with the correct equipment. if it doesn't exist already
I had found this out a little while ago, but if you want the best horse possible for a playthrough (even if it's just casual) there's always a horse with 4 strength, 3 speed, and 4 stamina at the back woods behind the stables you go to before meeting Impa. When you get to the stables, stay on it's right side as you go into the forest and go to the very back where there's a herd of three or four horses. The little clearing with the horses is also by a river where bokoblins are staying on the other side on the beach. The horses will always follow one leader, the leader horse is the horse with the best possible stats for a regular horse. I found it always is like that with every playthrough I've done, I just wanted to share it cause I found it interesting lol.
This game has been out for four years and he still making it entertaining. What a legend.

Just wanna say how much i love pointcrow simply because he makes content that is easy to consume, especially for my ocd brain that is hyper specific about what is relaxing or not
I mean, you can easily beat each individual Divine Beast fight within 5 minutes, for the Divine Beast itself it doesn't matter because you can continue later, and each Blight is possible in 5 minutes too. So Divine Beasts are easily possible, even if you disregard speedrun strats.
Honestly, I think on this run you generally don't quite realize how much stuff you can split up over multiple teleports. Literally everything that isn't a cutscene or a boss fight, you can just continue when you teleport there again.
Also fun fact: You can talk to Robbie without ever having been to Hateno.
