I'm seeing a lot of comments from years ago. Time may heal wounds, but it doesn't heal the feeling of loss. We may never have known this man personally, but the feeling of loss remains valid. The world was better with Scott in it, and it's a less artistically beautiful place with him gone. I hope he's at peace wherever he may be.
When I see how joyous he is in some of these older shows I can almost trick myself for a second that the outcome will be different. I can still listen to FR and nothing else for a week at a time. Scott spoke to a side of us that we rarely talk about. A true poet and gentle soul. The world needs more of his humbleness. RIP to the best musician of my generation. His lyrics have shaped me into being the human being I am today. While I’m alive, I’ll make tiny changes to the earth.

Appreciate this music so fucking much. Priceless. The type of music that sends a physical feeling throughout your body that sends you to a different place. Brings back memories and creates ones that are yet to happen. Only he was capable of it. This band is so underrated and appreciated. Perfect.

But your music is so pure and honest the legacy of your music you have left behind is immense you were a beautful soul. But you are now singing on a higher plane and I am sure that the Angels will love it as we have. So sing sing sing you beautiful man we will meet again one day xxxx.
We once lived in times of great bands, Frightened Rabbit, Augustines[/Pela], ... :-( Can make you feel melancholic ... b/c even though their music lives on, it is kind of sad, that they are all gone (now), feel a bit sad for todays younger ones, that they will not get a chance to see them live anymore.
Possibly second only to Elliott Smith. Other than him, there's no one I'd rather meet, no one whose lyrics inspire and devastate me as much, no one whose musical compositions light a fire under me as much as Scott Hutchison.
Sadly I never listened to this band until I read of Scott's death. They are excellent, RIP. If you have a friend who experiences depression try and give them some of your time.
I never had either, but now I know that they are close with We Were Promised Jetpacks, another Scottish band that I have liked for a few years, and who have a similar sound.
