Lyrics: I'm dying inside
Audience: *_IT'S TIME TO GET FUNKY_*
It wasn't then clear for
audience, if it was heavy
metal band in question
that should wear in black
like already in the 80's
and 90's heavy metal fans
knew that fashion is black.
"I'm dying inside"
Is not a lyric in any part of this song??
@@venmxshadows I know
Bleach is my favourite anime
Yeah, why are you here anyway ?
Ozzy's vocals here are even better than the album version.
I freakin agree
pretty sure it's just studio version playing, just look at the drummer. From what i know it was always playback in Top of the Pops
@@Dziuku94 The instruments are pre recorded, but the vocals are 100% live.
Yeah ozzy talked about it in his autobiography. He said he was shitting himself cause he was gonna be on one of the most popular TV shows and the band didn’t even have to try
This is very better.
1:43 Coolest camera work ever!
Imagine how fast the cameraman had to be to run back and forwards like that!
this is why always want to watch director cut films...
Yes,especially for epileptics
I lol'd
@@user-wm8td7pg9n My thoughts exactly ;)

Ozzy's vocal is no joke, just gives goosebumps
People dancing to Sabbath - now I've seen it all.
My exact thought.
They have no idea how to dance to Black Sabbath
different times, different times
Snowblinded
The grandfather of moshpits
ozzy's vocal is insane

And he writes in hi autobiography that he was extremely nervous during this performance and his mouth was dry. What a legend.
Crazy talented..
Not anymore their not.
17 yrs old in 1970 remember this like it was yesterday. '70's were fab. So glad to belong to those days & times!
I was 19 in 1970, and even now at 70 I'm head banging to this song...even though these days it gives me a headache 😜 and an inclination to sit down for a while with a cuppa ☕ and a chocolate hobnob 😁😁
I agree...the best time ever!!
Yes, the golden Era of music.. And many other good and bad.. But you must be Lucky to survive until now.. ✌️🙏
Must be fun living in retirement and aches and pains. No fun if your youth was in that period.
Could not agree more.
Jesus, you forget sometimes just how incredibly well Tony & Geezer's Guitar and Bass gelled. The two sounds complemented each other perfectly and their parts fitted like a a key in a lock.
Brilliant!
Wait till you find out they weren’t actually playing
@@JonWWFKrebs I was more talking about their recorded work in general .... tunes like "Tomorrow's Dream" and "Supernaut" are a perfect examples of the Guitar & Bass parts being written to compliment each other, rather than as simply functional "harmonic" parts.
The director must be a genius:
Hey the song is about depression let's have people dance to it
It's coz they where payed to dance
Not in England or Europe back in 70 still Rebuilding from WW2 so dance....DIDN'T have American Bandstand.....
@@paulquick8806 not was about "paranoid"?Lol!
There is nothing depressing about the music

I’m 70, only in the last year have I gotten into heavy metal music, I never knew how absolutely fantastic Ozzy is, I truly appreciate Black Sabbath and I am very sorry about all the years that I did not listen to their music. At the moment I cannot get enough of Black Sabbath music.
You should also listen to Led Zeppelin! They arent heavy metal they are more just rock, but they have made some of the best songs of all time. I recommend just listening to their albums start to finish you will find some amazing songs!
You should listen to r/thathappened
It's never too late to be a metalhead!! 💪
Lyrics: a depressed man dying inside, struggling to feel any sense of happiness
The audience: THEY'RE GROOVIN'
I simply cannot stand still when I hear this kind of music.
I enjoyed the rapid visual cutting between bass and lead
Chelsea Poet i got epilepsy just from that
Chelsea Poet that was bad ass for that era
@@679iceman It still is
Very nice tape editing, especially since they obviously wouldn't have had today's digital video editing tools back then.
xD
Young Ozzy's voice=holy fucking shit.
Facts, his voice is so unconventional and works for some reason incredibly well
Still pretty great!
Parkinson ruined Ozzy's condition.
They really were the best band
@@RamblinMoonchild No other metal band is close tbh.
A jewel this video that great Black Sabbath even 2022........♫🎸
This is a masterpiece live version of Paranoid. I love the guitar/bass tones. Ozzy is on fire too
Seeing people dance to Paranoid is like watching those commercials for medicine where the people are joyful and happy while they say that the side effects is death
LMAO!!! this is a top tier comment
obviously you dont understand and cant hear the real beat ..the dance beat is to the vocals which at least half the speed of what yr hearing
Notice none of the people dancing are smiling!
Top Of The Pops meets Heavy Metal
I'd love to back in time to do a little headbanging.
That voice though! It’s crazy how underrated ozzys vocals have become.
Ozzy is widely considered to be one of the great heavy metal vocalists, how can you say that he is underrated?
@@paulph12002 Bruce Dickinson has definitely got to be up there too
@Derrick the fuck yall talkin bout Lewis The vocals are live.
yep, agree, ozzy is a superb vocalist....great bloke too.....
His early voice is very good, later. not so much
One of those songs that I love blasting when I'm feeling down to get me feeling great.
Brilliant vocals ..so clear and fresh....and Tony's guitar!!!! Out of this world!!!🎶
Their drummer is so good, he can hit the crash and do fills without even hitting the respective drum heads and cymbals!
He probably practices 40 hours a day

One of the best songs I've ever listened. You just can't stop rocking your head. It's a right type of music to listen in a concert!
Amazing, what a fantastic track. I love it now just as I did then, never gets old.
I really don’t think Ozzy gets enough credit for his voice. It’s instantly recognizable. This video is perfect proof that his voice is, and always will be, fucking legendary
His voice is one of the best. It just makes him stand out. You know it's Ozzy.
You're right. His voice instantly pulls you in.
Whether you like his voice or not he is without a doubt the most iconic metal singer of all time. And me personally I love his voice. He’s my favorite singer.
Yep

It's weird to see people dancing to this song.

I saw Black Sabbath 1st USA Tour 1970! I was standing in the front row! Ozzy played the Harmonica, Tambourine, and Maraccas! Unforgettable!
Ozzy Osbourne is a real Legend. May God bless USA. Love and Friendship from Italy. 🇮🇹❤️🇺🇸
I love how the lyrics are so dark, but the people dance. You can see at certain times that some of them realize that they shouldn't be doing what they are doing.
It is music. There is no problem with people dancing to music.

The woman in the red dress...🤣🤣🤣
I love how unlike a lot of older bands, Black Sabbath uploads pretty much all their stuff from music videos to live shows.
Looking at you Beatles >_>
Bollocks, they re-upload bootlegs. That there still hasn't been a DVD of archive footage in high quality (Paris 1970, Cal Jam 1974, Midnight Special, etc) is a fucking travesty. The version of the Paris show up on the channel is a bootleg VHS copy taped off Yorkshire TV in the 80s, the original film reel is owned by Reeling In The Years.
Yeah, they are missing some good stuff, but my point was basically that at least unlike The Beatles, Sabbath have uploaded all their songs on CZcams to listen to, minus a few good live shows.
Much better than when I go to The Beatles channel, and there's like 7 songs uploaded out of like 200+, and anytime their stuff gets uploaded by others, it gets taken down right away, like the music video for I Am The Walrus.
Ya I really wish someone would release all the live footage from that era! The footage from 75 is devastating ha ha Hole in the Sky is incredible live
Yeah cos McCartney and starkey have still not hit target yet right?
Paul wants to protect his material from the evil demons....
I have Bern listening to you since I way 16 years old Now I am 68 years old. Thanks to your musí I grew Up And IT accompaies me all my life. Thanks you very much. Czech Republic. 👍👍👍👍

Это шедевр на все времена!слушаю постоянно! Оззи крутой на все времена!рок навсегда!!!!я тащюсь
Fuckin' fantastic....I never get tired on this...over 50+ years later....
The music is playback, but the vocals are live. There's the Nirvana performance on this show and it's hysterical even if you aren't a fan. Kurt doesn't play his guitar to show it's playback and sings in a mocking style to make the producers mad.
It’s called top of the pops it’s a British music show I’m British and it’s fucking shit
webkinzgirl001 Yeah, I saw that, it was cool.
webkinzgirl001 I hear the guitar is not from playback too. Listen the last part of the main riff. It doesn t have ghoast hummer ons like in the recording. :)
Guitar vocals and bass are live. Drums seem to be a playback.
I've heard Top of the Pops does that (live vocals, all instruments pre-recorded), but if this drum track is pre-recorded (Bill Ward's out-of-sync miming could be an editing problem instead of performance, though it's more likely he just missed the hits), it's not the same track as the record. It's got fewer fills, and the bass hammer-ons are also in different places. The guitar and vocals are likely live.
Geezer Butler is a massively underrated bass player.
o hell na, he is overrated, he wrote 90% of sabbath's lyrics 🤭

0:05 when the bass come in....what tone!
those little bass riffs in the transitions are really great.

I might actually like this version more than the studio version, Ozzys voice sounds way better here IMO.
Same
I'd take Ozzy's voice here with the bands studio performance for an ideal version.
@@RedroomStudios I'm with ya on that one!

Such a unique singing voice. Brings back awesome memories. Long Live Ozzy

There is nothing better than the first twenty seconds of this song.
The Best Sabbath of all their albums. Bought it in Vinyl back in the day.
