      @@rawdez_you must be on a special kind of crack. 7900XT can easily run 4k ultra just fine. And the reason why modern games can't run at such high fps is because most games are much more gpu and cpu intensive. Games will only get harder to run. Older titles or more optomized newer titles can easily run at high fps.

    You can get the RX7900 GRE Sapphire Pulse in a white aesthetic. I bought the black (non RGB) variant for my eldest daughter (it's was 10 % cheaper than the white one) and it arrived yesterday [price was just under $500 (CHF equivalent) delivered]. I UV'd it -50mV to start, max fans, and increased power to +7%. Didn't want to push it too hard...just a bit of a bump. Runs fine...temps ~67C at 20C ambient. To my recollection, FURMARK 1080P= just under 19K; 1440P=mid 15K. It was hanging with the RTX4070Ti (not the Ti super).
    With used RTX3080's and 6900XT's going for over $400 locally, this new price for the GRE was very attractive...not to mention the 2 year warranty.

    I looked at this card around release and the specs. It seems all right. Memory speed is less than the 7800XT but I guess it depends on the game performance wise. Problem is having a 7800XT and a 7900XTX all ready I couldn't justify picking it up but it will depend on price, the 7800XT vs 7900GRE what people should go for. Have the Gigabyte OC 7800XT from Avatar bundle, don't think any games are bundled into the current cards also (it's a nice perk but not neccessary I suppose). Last time I went AMD were during the Starfield and Avatar bundles though, it somewhat helps counteract the RT not being as there. You also get more VRAM and rastorization performance with the 7900GRE so you should consider that when weighing your options. I'm still on the fence for the 7900GRE though. I'm running my games on a 3440 x 1440 144Hz monitor.
    I think in the long run the 7900GRE would be my choice because I want it to last about four to five years.

    This GPU has been the most impressive GPU I have owned since the GTX1080Ti. I picked it up at £480 which is less than the 7800XT , way less than any of N'gimmickia GPUs and performs really well with the useless RT if you have the money to have the monitor and cpu you to back it. Mine is paired with a Ryzen 7600. When gaming I only stick around 1440p Ultra and this card is so smooth I have tried it in 4K for a few games and it is a clean transition.

I probably wouldn't spend the extra for the Pulse but would for the Nitro based off reviews etc. I would pick the Nitro over the Gigabyte had they been close in price. I bought around the Avatar game bundle the 7800XT, so pricing now might be a bit different now. Whats so stupid is that both AMD and Nvidia are resorting to model naming confusion to trick the consumer on what is actually better when it isn't based on specs... When it comes to value proposition every company on earth has left that boat ever since inflation was on the rise and they tend to believe it's supposed to continue when the public knows that model isn't sustainable. 4070s and 4070 are like 20w apart ~220w vs ~200w, 7900gre pulls ~290w. DLSS currently is much better than FSR, FSR might improve because AMD are working on their AI upscaling. They all supposed to be durable.

      It is. Has much higher bandwidth (to support higher refresh rates up to 240Hz) but many TVs do not have DP input so HDMI 2.1 is the answer (@120Hz).

    • @ObakuZenCenter
      @ObakuZenCenter Před 2 měsíci +2

      No. I've had that card and it runs great and pretty cool. Just set a custom fan curve so that it doesn't overdo things and you'll be fine. Use the latest AMD drivers as well, as they seem to be pretty stable for the 7800 XT and above. That model of the card is actually a really good one, especially for the price.

  • @roki977
    @roki977 Před 2 měsíci +1

    With 7800xt, 7900xt/xtx vram chips are from Hynix or Samsung. Hynix chips have at least 10% extra bandwith with oc, Samsung chips much less so iwith7900GRE most likely its the same thing. I think they just sticked the cheapest chips they had in stock and thats that. They screwed GRE bcs even if core is overclocking like crazy it will still be limited by bandwidth in many games. Maybe some more fansy AIB models with higher power limit have better vram on them, i dont know.. Still i think its a great gpu for 550$ and no brainer for pure gamers..

      The 7900 GRE does out perform the 4070, including with overclocks. However, at it's present price it's probably not worth it just yet. If you do want a more cost efficient upgrade, then consider waiting for the 7900 XT cards to come down in price to about $650, which should be within the next couple of months.

    • @dianaalyssa8726
      @dianaalyssa8726 Před 2 měsíci +1

      7900XT/XTX might be more worth it, larger bus, more memory etc. GRE would be a minor improvement likely over the 4070 OC, likely not enough to be worth doing.
