Beautiful voices! The first girl had really excellent depth, feeling and supreme articulation throughout. Never heard so fine and complete a gift for song in one number, very complicated and full of hairpin turns, as it were. I don't know how she managed it! She is something else!
Larmore is an accomplished baroque and bel canto singer. She's been singing since the mid 1980s to great acclaim!
Julia Boehme
Julia Böhme!
Julia Boehme. For me, this performance - tempo, instrumentation as well as the voice - has the "Vivaldi sound".
Julia Böhme the orchestra + tempo + direction puts it over the top for me
I always love Jennifer Larmore. I had the pleasure of seeing her work in a master class a few years ago and got to speak with her for a few minutes at the end. She's a wonderful singer and person.
Love Kuhlmann's mezzo timbre & tempo chosen. Nice timbre Böhme's too. Guess I didn't fall in love with this so far unknown to me song, renditions are nice though.
All great singers...it is just a preference: Jennifer Larmore for me
Jennifer Larmore
Thx for this musical dedication of Julia Bohme to the soul. I felt between pause of her musical breath that sense of composer wasn't merry about falling in love among lights of the sun
Larmore on the Naive cd is simply wonderful as Alcina, so yeah, Jennifer wins!

Kulhmann my big love❤
The quality of sound is not equal to really be fair in judging each one although I think i know who will be in my shopping basket.
None unfortunately! On the one hand, it would be preferable to have this mezzo tune interpreted by a man; on the other hand, the instrumental ensembles are heavy and pasty, unlike the baroque spirit.
