Would you say the higher 1, Dakar version, would be a good all rounder for 90km round trips and SERIOUS off-road or do you think it'll be a bit heavy for off-road?
If you hold out and look around you may be able to do better. Locally there was. 2012 with 20k and the guy wanted 4K This weekend in about to get a 2007 with led light kit, panniers, crash bars, upgraded alt and aux battery, 4K miles for 4300$
@@jasonpearson1555 Where are you finding these bikes for that cheap?? I've been hunting cycle trader, motohunt, ebay and craigslist for months and haven't seen anything remotely that cheap. Tell me your secrets!
@dwbeglin yeah that sounds like what I was seeing in my local searches, so I started looking in areas I could directly fly to and reasonably ride back from in a weekend The seller was also moving east to buy a sail boat. This is probably the key. Cheers brother
@@dwbeglin I am ready to trade my scooter for one of those bike . It all depends to what the person wants I want an on off road bike and he wants something good for the city and we will be both happy!
I thought my 2016 Honda CB 500x was the swiss army knife bike for me,, but now I have a 2002 F650GS and love it more than the Honda!

2001 BMW F 650 with 16k miles for $2,900 is that a good deal?
Yes that's a decent deal as long as the bike is in good shape. But more like 2,500 is a better deal
