Hoping more people would also try the GAC brand. Very underrated but the most solidly-built, Chinese cars in the market today afaik and how it feels when you drive and ride their vehicles, apart from how they're more well-equipped now.
Dare I say it, feels better than Geelys having experienced to drive several cars of the latter and even just a few from GAC.
And yes, GS3 Emzoom >>>>> Coolray.

Definitely, the most tempting value proposition in its segment today, and maybe even in the segment higher and lower than where it belongs. The best thing is its a GAC, probably the utterly underrated brand but the most well-built Chinese cars I've driven and tried. Hoping the new local distributor can further improve and make the after-sales better so more and more would also get to own such impressive vehicles from the brand.
I just realized that GAC and Toyota are in a joint venture.

Haha, na-'Love at first sight' si esmi sa Emzoom pagkatapos namin bumisita sa GAC-Macapagal. Ready na magpa-reserve ng unit. BIglang ayaw na niya kina GCR at CS35+. : ) Mas na-excite kasi sabi ko na joint venture ang GAC at Toyota. Aircon=DENSO. Engine &Transmission are sourced out from AISIN (Japan). Other components, BOSCH.

GAC ON A ROLL !! With the Empow, Emkoo, and now the Emzoom. Tapatan nila sa Geely would be, Emgrand vs Empow, Emkoo vs Azkarra, Emzoom vs Coolray. Ang spicy na ng market ngayon. 🔥🔥
Emgrand is a budget car
Azkarra is a 7 seater and way too far in price point to Emkoo. GS8 would be a fairer comparison.

I own a GAC GS4 and im very satisfied with the perfomance and how comportable to drive this car even full passenger for a long drive i had no issue. But this GS3 Emzoom no doubt this would be on top of the list for crossover segment in near future. All what you're looking for a crossover has this car budget for money, style, space, tech and power kudos to GAC.

Never had an issue with the reverse just as long as you turn off the autohold function, since that one needs quite a bit of throttle to disengage and once it disengaged there comes the power surge causing jerk. Same with stop and go traffic, autohold must be turned off for smoother ride, unfortunately.

Autohold was off the whole time. It's the transmission.

you guys should buy this while it is in introductory price. The specs, safety, looks, engine and the wheels the SRP may go up to 1.3m
I test drove the Emzoom R style. Got to say, interior quality is unexpectedly good, punching above its class and price bracket. Even Japanese brands close to 2m can't compare. Everything you said is spot on, just the DCT i didn't experience at slow speeds, rather it was pretty smooth and reverse no issue too. But i have to agree with the manual mode. Should at least come with paddle shifters or +/- the very least. But having said that, the drive modes kind of make up for it with Eco, Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
When he mentioned about Geelys' s problems about parts availability, that is a big deal considering they've been in the market for 4 years. I hope GAC will have a better after sales.
Emzoom is one of my choices.

I am in the market of getting a new ride, I visited Geely and I am really impressed with how the build quality is for the CoolRay, and interior design and little bits and pieces of their attention to details, like knobs, how solidly the door closes makes a sound of quality, I love how Geely have its trunk, engine and under carriage cover, The engine bays looks neat. I am going to check this GAC Emzoom if it can match the CoolRay, I am not happy how GAC did not include any engine and trunk covers which is also a need. CoolRay is 90% Volvo parts and GAC is halo halo parts from different brand cars according to my research. I love the exterior look of the EMzoom very refreshing look.

Sir Vince did you experience any issues with the Emzoom while shooting this video? I can still recall the review on the City RS that shuts down when you get through a hump & the Ranger XLT that had a problem with it's multi-info display. I've been watching this video over & over again, it's very thorough & has the perfect shots of the whole vehicle. Masarap panuorin in short. I'm really thinking of getting the R-Style & hopefully I get your thoughts on it aside from the GAC forums.
We had the Emzoom for a week
No electronic issue. We got another unit a month later, no issue either.
Only the transmission behavior is the main comment of ours esp at low city speeds. Hope that helps.

Test drove the R-Style last weekend & I was really impressed with it's driving dynamics, it is a driver's car. Just lifting your foot ever so slightly on the brakes before stepping on the accelerator & your good to go. Well even new Toyotas have issues but it's good to know that you don't have anything to write about the Emzoom. I'm still watching this review over & over again... you know the law of attraction, hehe. Until I won't have to because I'm already gazing my eyes as it's parked inside my garage. Oh P.S., new subscriber here.

The car looks nice…but after looking at it for quite a while im not sure if its just me(not hate) the car losing its flare.. so far maybe the after sale is okay but once they start getting lots of cars on the road and people getting in accidents that when the waiting time will vary and it will repeat what geely is having issue because they not anticipate that lots of people will be buying their cars and they got overwhelmed.. but im impressed about the price and techs/features included i know some people hate chinese cars..but lets face it they start to improve and give Philippines market value for their money not too overprice like other brands.. congrats to those who ones this vehicle..

boss ask ko lang bakit sikat Geely sa Pinas na dito sa UAE lalo na sa Dubai at Abu Dhabi Emirates wala nga akong masyadong mabilang na mga Geely Coolray, marami dito MG, GAC, Chery, JAC, Hongqi, GWM at humabol na din Jetour at Bestume. Ako nga personal gamit ko MG ZS 2020 Basic model lang nasa 70k mileage na them 3 years gamit at extreme weather esp Hear na aabot sa 50C wala naman problema except battery mo dito madaling masira. Marketing Hype lang yata un Geely sabi nila but for me personally hindi ako sold out sa cars and tech nila ✌️☝️😎

Not sure if there's a specific mount that would clamp on there.
Confirmed its a cellphone holder mount. You need those cp holders that clamp on to the aircon vents.

What i dont like sa gs3 is their rear view mirror, minor lng naman, pero kung meron auto dimming mas completo na ang high tech features

I'm so glad they didn't go with the black and red interior route. Maybe grey/black with orange stitching to match this particular trim. It's just so.... Overdone. And honestly sometimes it cheapens the car if it's not done correctly. There are so many colours that can represent sporty without being those generic options

PMS cost isn't as expensive as other jap brands, and mga casa nila hindi nananaga. Kung ano lang yung kelangan, yun lang papalitan nila. May sariling warehouse ang GAC for their parts, but for the major parts like nabangga etc., yun ang may waiting time upto 2to3 months siguro which is ganun din naman sa lahat ng car brands dito sa pinas.

Have you ever tested the cars with sunroof features under heavy rains? ⛈️⛈️⛈️
My biggest concern of people when it comes to a sunroof, is water leaking.
Been enjoying the sunroof of our GS4 even in heavy rains. GAC is using Aisin sunroof, a reliable japanese brand.
so far all my cars with sunroofs don't leak(geely, hyundai, suzuki). but since we're in the Philippines, I don't usually open the sunroof that often.

To be honest the reasons why people buys this car like us Filipinos is because of their sporty look. Those major players like toyota, mazda, mitsubishi honda etc, they tend to look more sophisticated like European cars. If you wants their sporty side of the cars it would be more expensive than this new lines.

No. It has a new chassis co-developed with Toyota if I'm not mistaken. I read an article about it somewhere.
