    Hi Kristin, do you know if there are many bubble tea shops that make their own powders/syrups for their flavored drinks, or do pretty much all of them use ready-to-go powders/syrups from bubble-tea suppliers?

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  Před rokem

      Hi Eric,
      Making your own syrups from scratch is quite easy, but will require more staff hours.
      I've not known of anyone making their own powders though.
      But you could make both fruit teas and milk teas using fresh ingredients, no worries. I have a packet of recipes for purchase on my website for this technique. It's not as common right now, but if you know your target market wants it and will pay the premium price for it, opposed to cheaper price point for powders and syrups, it's worth doing.
      Ultimately it's your decision for your business. 😁

    Hi Kristin,
    Loved your video. Do you happen to have a list of reputable bubble tea suppliers from Taiwan? I've been doing some research but in terms of the trust factor, I want to make sure that I'm getting the best.

      Hey Charlene,
      Thanks for your kind comment. I hope you're enjoying all my videos! 😁
      I personally haven't purchased large quantities of supplies from Taiwan, and every month there seems to be a new factory popping up due to demand😅, so I wouldn't be able to answer your question with knowledge.
      But I do keep a personal list of 'middle man suppliers' in the US, UK and EU if/when I hear about them. Feel free to email me through my website www.BubbleTeaExpert.com if you'd like that.

    Hi, can you recommend any suppliers from EU that offer cups and sealing films with own customised imprint? I only found suppliers from Taiwan, but ordering from there seems a little too difficult for me, just like you said in the video. I really want my drinks to be in branded cups with our logo, because it looks much more original and apppealing, but I am really struggling to find a way to do that.
    Thanks a lot!

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  Před rokem

      Have you contacted 'Boba Box EU' yet? 😇
      All cups are made in Taiwan, and shipped over either pre-printed with a logo, or a company in the EU prints onto them.
      Hope that's a good starting point.
      If they don't have what you want, maybe they can make a recommendation for you.👍🏻

      This is true because bubble tea suppliers sell to businesses. 👍🏻 Maybe you can find a company in your country that sells small quantities? I've seen many 'At-Home' kits on the market. 🙂

      It varies from state to state, city, etc.
      There's not one good brand that 'fits all' in the US.
      If you go to a Google search online and contact them all one by one via email, I think you'll find your winnings.
      A lot are not good. Just by how close they are to you, cost, and taste, you'll be able to find a good one. 😇

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  Před rokem +1

      @@abimadeit88 Depends how busy you will be. If just a small market for half a day, just keep pre-made boba in something to keep warm. Insulated covered container. So no electricity is needed.
      If a huge event, like day/night market, you might need to keep making batches throughout the whole time. But then you need electricity, running water, waste water, etc.
      Hope that helps 😃

    Do you think 15-20 k USD budget is enough to buy all the equipment, tools, ingredients, excluding transportation costs and taxes?

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  Před rokem

      Hello Dee Dee.
      Wow - that's a very small budget to be honest if we're talking about full start up costs, especially for the USA. BUT if you're talking about JUST the stuff you mentioned above only, then yes it's completely doable! Especially if you begin with second hand equipment, not don't buy any unnecessary expensive stuff! 🤣
      In the beginning start up costs over-all though, remember each state, region, city and subdivision will yield a different start up price. Mostly for location of purchase, rent, utilities, outfitting the place, and staff costs. Not to mentioned insurance and long term monthly fees such as accountant, any licenses, etc. 😱
      If you were living in the UK asking this question, I'd say totally fine for the pricing. However, the US is majorly inflated with pricing for bubble tea IMO. Everything there seems to be double the monetary numbered price than here... and our money value isn't that different. So what might cost me £100 for a used working fridge, seems to set people back at least a few hundred or more in the USA!
      I'd say shop around as much as you can, and keep it as easy and simply as possible in the beginning. If you want to upgrade stuff over time, go for it. But starting out, keep your costs as low as possible.
      Hope this helps. 😇

      @atlas_win There's so many in the US... you're lucky! You could throw a dart at the board! (Google) 😂

      @@BubbleTeaKristin how to search the warehouse, search "supplies bubble tea nearby ?"

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  Před rokem +3

      @Amazing First I'd create a spreadsheet with all the names and contact info for all the suppliers I can find online. Usually in their about section they'll have an address too... put that on there.
      Then create a template email and send it out to all of them requesting info like I shared in my video. (But of course in the first part, keep it short and sweet, say you're opening up a shop by summer of 2023, wanting a samples kit, etc.)
      Wait a week for all the reply emails. Go through them all and update all the sections in your spreadsheet. See who's who, where, samples, etc.... reply back and start an open conversation, and hopefully by the end of the month you'll have a good selection of samples to trial, more knowledge about your local options, etc.
      It takes time... but so worth it in the end. :)
