the same exact thing happened to me when I won this mission for the first time, I had not saved the game so it was my only shot, this mission is just so thrilling it might be my favorite one ever.

I used to go to my friends house almost every day after school, we used to play this game for hours. It was amazing time. Growing up sucks miserably.
This was definitley the hardest mission in the extreme trail for me

I lost days upon days of my life trying to beat this level. Eventually did. But never in minutes!! Incredible
There’s easy ways to do it. Like for one put oxen against the mercenary posts where they’ll be popping out of it. Wood cutter are not good for that since ballistics hit them easier.They’ll auto delete themselves till a unit destroys your structure. And a great way to cheese the ai is restart the mission on gameplay speed 20 and place hovels where there mercenary posts or barracks will be built. The ai won’t be able to build there in that spot. You could bum rush them with macemen straight to their keep if you do that and it’s GG.

How to download this version of stronghold crusader?
Nice job on beating the hardest map (in my opinion). But why didnt you use the last extreme option (the one with the stones falling) and destroy all of the barracks?
I think it takes one of those + 2-3 arrow volleys, I also needed to use some of it on other things
Love this game, just doesn't get old
Reviews did not like Extreme but I think it is fantastically hard-core, like the special weapons that charge over time whereby you can deploy troops anywhere on the map, it gives the game a modern warfare flavour, it is the equivalent of air deployment of troops/reinforcements, the heal troops simulates medical supplies, arrow and rock barrages are just like air strikes
Love setting several spawn points surrounding the castle and have nothing but Mace Men assault, thousands of them, its like a horde of Xenomorphs, relentlessly eating away at every part of the castle!

I've played Stronghold Crusader for a long time, but I couldn't bring myself to really like Stronghold Extreme. Yes, it has 'extreme' in its name, but it was difficult for the sake of being difficult and the entirety of the campaign was just not fun. I couldn't bring myself to finish it because of how much I despised those free unit outposts the enemies always get, and it was just a daunting campaign I spent many days and brain cells on. Nevertheless, very impressive work on this for certain!
Though, I did like Extreme for the new lords they brought in. Could play them in the base Stronghold Crusader too.
tbh I had the same feeling at the start, couldn't even beat mission 1 and it felt too unfair to me. But once I got into it, it actually became kinda fun. You figure out new strategies with that super bar you have
@@Jefflenious In my opinion, if I have to win the SAME way every game, which is rapid-buy crossbows, then it's not very fun. It's still a war of attrition, but in different map layouts. I don't mind a challenge, such as the final campaign level in the first Stronghold Crusader, but Extreme takes it to a whole new level.

Great strat! Maybe you could have even improved with a positive fear factor :) you didn’t have any economy that’s affected by it and it improves your armies greatly ^^
Didn't find this one too challenging. I actually thought the Lionheart one was harder. I beat this one first try.

This is by far the hardest mission on Stronghold crusader extreme!
I have defeated almost 30k enemy soldiers but still not win. 😭
You need to plan for the enemy outposts! You can't just do an endless tower defense mission, you'd have to take out the posts at some point otherwise you'd eventually break
Knight squad power is nice, your starting swordsmen can take out one of the outposts right from the start too, and you can always use catapults
