- This is the behind the scenes "How to" video for the NYK Gas to Electric lawnmower series. Stay tuned for the next video when I drill-start the mower and explain the gasoline engine. Later in the series I show the making of the adapter plate and coupler, when we convert the mower to all electric drive.
If you haven't seen the NYK version... here is the link to episode 1.

OK my mind just got blown....what was that electric car you have? I've never seen one of those in Australia.
Pontiac Fiero
cool
Am I right in assuming that you're helping Jesse from now you know the famous electric car promoter. I'm a little jealous very good for you
I'm just there to help. That partnership comes from a genuine interest in helping people understand the technology. Did my first conversion back in 2008. Got help from somebody that started 10 years before me.

As a final step, eliminate the electric motor and cut the grass using an electric welder arc.
Dun dun daaaaa.
This is why those muscle cars glug glug at idle. At low rpms they are pretty terrible machines. Honda dresses this with the DOHC. Pretty cool stuff
People make it so their cars "glug glug" at idle with specific cam shafts. It is a desirable sound to many people.
