NZ Tokelauans from the three islands of Tokelau gathered in Porirua last weekend and raised the roof with Fatele like you have never seen before. Don't know what Fatele is - take a look and be amazed.
Fateles, occur quite often in the community(birthdays, funerals, weddings...etc). Not only, to bring our People & families together celebrating our culture!! but to also remind ourselves & future generations to always embrace & be proud to be a Tokelau!!! Aloha atu GB!!!!
That was not a competition, Cmon media dont you start changing the spirit of the day to be a competition. Unfortunately, Our young generation are interpreting fatele as a competition always. due to other Tokelauan events in the past, No fatele are not suppose to be a competition it an event for everyone to enjoy not to compete like other Tokelaun events this was different . That is why there was no winner on that day it was never a COMPETION. C'mon TP this is offending to some of us who participated for the sake of our culture and language and to thinks my children and I were doing it for competition sake is sickening. I was looking forward to watching this now I regret ever seeing this. PLEASE get your FACTS right 1st.
