10. Every child deserves free education, So maintain government schools and hospitals well ;
11. Don't ever get caught on the corporate market (like private schools etc.... )
12. Even if you are a Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim or Christian
YOU'RE A SRILANKAN at first next only your religion

Although the Country's independence movement succeeded in gaining independence from the British in 1948 Sri Lanka didn't benefit.
This is primarily because the Bandaranaikes were not interested in developing the Country. After more than seventy years his party and the main opposition party have been fighting for power while the Country had been neglected.
One party is ruining the Country while the other party is always engaged in damage control.

TBh this is a sad day for most of the current Sri Lankan’s and future Sri Lankan generations to be born cos before 1948 Sri Lanka was the most developed country in Asia where’re even Singapore was below SriLanka economically. Sri Lanka back then a peaceful country with no ethnic or religious tensions or had a massive debt burden and skyrocketed institutionalised corruption. Just imaging if Britain had not given independence or delayed its independence for 30-40 more years, Sri Lanka would have been a true paradise in Asia with majority of citizens in middle or upset middle class and a passport ranked top 10 instead the current sorry status of a Sri Lankan passport in terms of visa requirements for international travel.

Not really my brother! I should have been lived a free life but moved out of the country at the age of 1 lived as refugees within Sri Lanka and in India for two decades and never returned back till now after 35 years! Bad Sri Lankan politicians stole our land, rights, and freedom ! Deprived my right to live as a free citizen in my own mother land 😢😢😢😢 thousands of my relatives died in war, scattered across globe and lost everything ! Every year when this day comes I feel like bursting into despair and tears what a tragic loss 😢😢😢😢
