- In this video I review my Sig Sauer P226 Scorpion Elite handgun. The Scorpion is finished in FDE Cerakote and comes in the elite trim with enhanced beavertail and Hogue G-mascus G10 grips. I have also added the Inforce APL in FDE.

This gun is my favorite as well. It has its own pillow on my bed.
I carry this for work, have a wheelgun hold out. Californias gun laws arent too bad if you just ignore them.
Yes that was a joke btw, also when you want to reset the trigger on this gun you don't have to move the slide back that far just a few cm then thumb the hammer back again.;
I also live in Cali and picking up mine in 10 days (after background check). I was on a waiting list for 5 months for this sig! Lol, but just wanted to say thanks for the awesome review, it was taken into consideration when I placed my order.

Somehow snagged one from Sportsman’s (also in CA) and shot it for the first time yesterday. Out of the dozen handguns that I own, this one is now my best shooting. Thanks for the great review - it was instrumental in my decision to get one and I’d been waiting for 2.5 years to find one. I just wish that Inforce still sold that light. I had to go with a FDE TLR-1, but it doesn’t really match the gun well like the Inforce’s color.
I recently converted my Tacops into a Scorpion. Bought Black G10 scorpion grips, 224 slide lock lever and decocker from Osage county guns. Now it looks like a hybrid Legion/Scorpion pistol.

I buy a gun about once a month. Sometimes I go into my LGS and just pick one out of whatever they have. When they put this one out on display I had to get it, it’s a Sig so I knew it as of good Quality but it’s the color and grips that said buy me. Since I’ve had it its become one of the favorite guns I’ve ever owned. It’s reliable, never had a malfunction and with good ammo is as accurate as anything I’ve shot. Most of all it’s BEAUTIFUL.

It also comes standard with the SRT short reset trigger for very fast follow up shots

I live in Cali and waited 6 months to get this pistol. But it definitely was worth the wait! Also agree about the FDE Inforce light looking the best on this gun. I was lucky to find 2 of those lights at Ammo Bros lol. Only needed one but got an extra one just in case.

I placed an order with my local Turner Outdoor on Dec 30th 2021, as of July 1st 2022 still haven't gotten it. Last week I just happened to check email at the right time and saw my other local gun store had 5 in stock and immediately placed my order online. All 5 were sold out in 5 mins.

I compete with a sig sp2022 in 9mm and wanted to get one. I’m looking at paying 1800 on GUnbroker, as I can’t find it for cheaper. Like you, I don’t own a ton of guns, but I’m always collecting more. I wish we had more on our roster and that prices weren’t so crazy. Great video. I’m a knife collector above all else, but I do shoot constantly and I compete in stee challenge uspsa once a month. Great video.

Great review. I’ve seen a handful of reviews and pics; it’s seems the FDE color isn’t consistent. Is it just the lighting of videos or pics. Does anyone know if the color has been the same with sig fde guns?

My only gripe with the P226 Scorpian with Hot loads of 9mm the G-10 grips flex and move around everytime I shoot. But the Scorpian is a Fantastic Shooter.
Jake: I just bought this same gun. I think I will add the same light. Could you make a video of how well the light works? Also, would you ever consider putting a Red Dot on it?

Hey Jake! 1st off awesome video! Have you looked into the H&K p2000? I would highly reccomend this one for left handed shooters. It feels very similar to the p226.

Great review, how do you feel about the trigger guard? My finger tends to hit it when I decide to shoot but maybe that’ll improve. I’m used to the hk p2000 with plenty of space. Other than that it’s perfect

Just bought this gun 2 days ago.
"For vain reason", not vain at all. This gun is bought for the color so it makes sense that any accessories should match as well.
I have the extreme version and cannot shoot straight with the damn thing to save my life yet I drill bullseyes with my G17, I do not understand what I'm doing wrong.

It was a toss up between this one and the p229. I am going to get the 226 for round capacity and grip length due to my big paws. Thank you for the review it did help me out.
Great video! Love this gun. I have never owned one but have fired them and it is such a great weapon. What holster do you run?
Holsters are tricky for me since I’m left handed and have a light mounted. But I have a Veil Solutions holster ordered that I should be getting soon. It’ll be a solid OWB rig since I don’t have plans to concealed carry this gun.

Since I’m left handed and it has the inforce installed it’s been hard to find one, but I have one ordered custom from Veil Solutions that I hope to get soon 👍🏻
I just bought a used sig 226 extreme in 40. Its ca compliant but I live in another state. Guessing someone from ca moved here and got something else. Are the ca sigs as reliable as non ca sigs. I haven't gotten to shoot it yet as there is too much snow to get to where I shoot. Right now I'm kind of riding the fence if I want to keep it or just get a new slide for it. Any thought would be awsome. Thanks much. Great video too
They are the exact same gun with the addition of the loaded chamber indicator on the top. It’s actually not as bad as it sounds.

There was about a week where there was an opening that they were available to be purchased in CA thanks to Judge Benitez. I bought a lot of magazines that week.
@@beardedgear Thank you for the quick reply. 1 more question if I may, . . . during that week were gun owners allowed to purchase full capacity magazines for handguns sold in CA that came with 10 round magazines at the original purchase? Or was it only for guns sold prior to the 10 round maximum law? Hope I worded that correctly. Thanks again.
As far as I understand it all magazines were fair game regardless of when the firearm was manufactured or purchased.
Whats that attachment on your scorpion?
Do you mind me asking what you paid before fees ...? I’m looking at around 1800 plus out of art are fees and drosfees etc. I’m about to pull the trigger on one but I’m worried I might be paying a little much, as I also see one from my hometown of Santa Clara county for 2400 on gunbroker on 4.20.21. Yikes.
I think a paid a little over 1K after fees back when I bought it. It was actually on sale when I got mine 😂

Anyway great review. Great pistol. I used to have 3 P226’s and a multitude of other SiG’s and a others..... all I shoot now is a CZ. The Shadow 2 being the current king of pistols. I’m not saying this to pea on the P226 because they are great pistols, but because U.S. shooters very rarely look at CZ. Try one, let us know what you think. And the S2 Optic Ready, if you want that RMR will blow you away. It’s why it is the dominant competition platform. Laterz.
I’ve actually had the chance to fire a few CZ’s and liked all of them, and have a few close friends that own and love them. I may end up owning one before long.
This is the only handgun I shoot an inch or two left consistently and I don’t know why 🤷🏻♂️

Hi there! Thank you for the video! I realize your gun doesn't have mag safety, does it? Because I bought mine, and it has mag safety which I cannot fire when no mag inserted! That's really annoy! Do you know how to remove that function?
Why is that a problem? Do you intend on shooting it without a magazine inserted? Really stupid.
I actually agree with the original comment, it’s stupid to not be able to fire with a magazine in, if you’re changing your magazine and have one in the chamber and there is still a threat, having one in the pipe can make a big difference.

I got this p226 too. Only sucky thing is the loaded indicator. BS.
