great video thank you. Although a suite is beyond our budget I am quite disappointed in the size of the standard cabin balconies, We were so looking forward to the launch of Britannia but now we are not that sure we want to travel on her when in many ways she offers less than Azura/Ventura
We were in one of the suites a few floors above this summer (in Strathallan) and the balcony got covered in soot, so we have booked this suite for our Med cruise next summer, in the hope it doesn't get so sooty. There are only a few differences between the Victoria and Strathallan suites. Soot aside, these balconies are fantastic and we are really looking forward to coming back onboard Britannia next summer. Thanks for this video, it's nice to see what we can expect.
We were in E742 Strathnaver Suite which was 2 decks directly above this cabin on 1-1-16 and loved it so much we have booked the same cabin for another cruise on 24-11-17.. The soot wasn't to bad-there were a couple of days where there was a slight issue but apart from that it was ok and as you say the balcony is superb. We seriously considered both the cabin in the video and G733 across the deck. My concern about the cabin in this video is its directly above the live lounge as we are not really night owls.................. therefore we settled on the E deck- hopefully there wont be any noise for you
Yes, the noise was a worry, but it was the last available lower suite on the cruise we wanted, so it was a case of that one or a balcony cabin. Here's hoping we get some peace, ha ha, but we tend to stay up pretty late anyhow so I'm sure it'll be fine. We're on Oceana in 2018, so we will definitely look at E deck for our next Britannia one. Enjoy your next cruise!
Don't think we ever went in the live lounge apart for the final day queue for the passport control....we were thinking about the Arcadia in July going to Scandinavia and Iceland but saw the price deal on the Caribbean over the last few days for November with the offers so booked that instead........ and that end of Britannia is such a great place- we did all the sunbathing on the balcony and the sunset bar was so handy being a one minute lift journey away....
Hi Sean - I love this video and have watched it a few times now - can you please let answer a couple of questions about the position of G732 - it is directly above Live Lounge, is this a problem, soundwise? Also, did you suffer any soot issues? We are desperate to have a balcony this size! Thanks for posting this video.
Hi Charlotte, glad you like the video I aim to please.Yes it is above the live lounge and there can be some noise if you are in bed before 11pm but no where near as much as being above the theatre on Britannia, that booms through the cabin. The balcony is really private and we loved the extra furniture supplied which not all decks have room for. We actually took a washing line and put up at low level (not to be seen)There was some soot but being so far down was not as bad as the upper decks, but the steward was onto this each day so we were not really affected. There is some vibration at the rear but this is common on most ships I think. We wouldn't hesitate to have this cabin again. If you pick this one do a video, it would be nice to see if its changed.RegardsSean
Sean Connelly thanks so Much for your detailed response. I am in love with the massive balcony, we spend so much time on our balcony, this on would take up all our time!!! Was it overlooked by above decks at all?
There was some over looking but that is to be expected, however there are two places where my wife was able to sunbath in private (I say no more). One thing I forgot to mention there is a smoking deck just below and very occasionally there would be a waft. If that is a problem there is the suite balcony on the other side of the ship and no smoking. One of the best things that being a suite was the dining table on the balcony, you could have dinner served here if you so desired. We had breakfast here on more than one occasion. And speaking of breakfast having a suite you get to eat breakfast in the Epicurean which is far more relaxed than the main dinning room and exclusive for suite guests, and all tables for two so no one perhaps telling you they have done more cruises than you just as you woken up.EnjoySean
Thanks for that Sean, it sounds perfect. We do not mind the odd waft of smoke. But the one thing we do crave is a table for two, wherever we go! Call us unsociable, but we always try to opt for it being just the two of us! It does make me laugh when the old "how many cruises have you been on, oh I have been on loads" and "what did you pay for your cruise, oh I paid half" conversations come up! Thanks for your responses Sean, I am currently working on my husband to go for an aft cabin rather than a forward one!
one question how is full milk horrible in tea you cant say that even if this is only a tour video as that is for the customer to decide and say not you as some people like myself are allergic to semi skimmed and skimmed milk
UHT milk is horrible in anything, the semi skimmed is just a little less horrible. Whether you are allergic to milk or not it is my review and my opinions, that is what an independent review is all about.
Wow - what a cabin. It must be incredible to have breakfast in the sun out on that balcony with the view of the wake!
Great video thanks helped us decide to book today!

Going on this ship on my Birthday in March can't wait!
