I think all of the live posh shows and what not are killing the sales for anyone who doesnt do the live Auctions
People are literally selling designer Bags for 3 and 7 dollars every night on those lives.. I’ve been saying this for a long time it’s killing sales for people that don’t want to stand in front of a camera for hours on end or are camera shy. Some of those people are there until the wee hours of the morning, All this defeats the purpose but now I see Poshmark is out for themselves. They don’t care if you’re on board or not.

I completely agree. People need to stop even doing live shows, there's no way they are making enough money for the time either.
@@50angeleyes before these live shows when Poshmark was all about the buyer seeking a closet they wanted to shop in, ( Remember those days ) 🙄 I was doing really well. I think everybody was and it was also fun, now there’s too many things going on to make the seller work harder and just to get what you paid for it at this point, on top of the fact that they want their 20. Smh It’s turning into a garage sale for us at least. Ridiculous
I think the Poshmark algorithm rewards people who do their latest gimmicks: live shows and promoted listings. Every once in a while I’ll have a good run on Poshmark, like a week or so that is good, that things are busy and likes and offers and sales are happening, and then it is slow again. I have not figured out anything that seems to be in my control about it. And I am not going to do live shows or pay to promote my listings, so I think this is just the new reality.
Don't fear! Must just be a weird month because I'm an only poshmark seller and I had an exceptional month. I freak out if I go one day without a sale and convince myself all kinds of crazy things and then it bounces back. You're an awesome reseller and we all love and support you. March will be better! ❤

Slow month too here. I’m part time but very discouraging when you list and a week goes by with no sale. Even when I make a sale I’ve had to drop my prices so low I barely make a profit!
I will miss your Declutter Fridays, but totally understand. You made so much progress. And t has to feel good.

My month was strong on both posh and eBay . I have about 3,000 active listings and between both did a little over 8k in sales ( sales , NOT profit )
Listing 7 days a week has really helped my sales so far this year . One of the resolutions the end of last year was to list 10 items , 7 days a week .

Hi Lori!!It was 15 days no sales for me on Poshmark. I feel like the posh shows sell everything so cheap no one wants to buy the other way. I have been transferring all my items to eBay. Doing good there. I do feel Poshmark is not going to get better unless you do posh shows. Watch you always!!! Love your channel!

Mercari is awful, I only get a handful of sales per month. I still cross list there but I wouldn’t put too much effort in. Just my opinion though. ❤

Don’t beat yourself up! Your vacation (actual days gone and mindset) surely contributed to your slower sales. Also, maybe part of your “slump” is your body remembering what you experienced last February/March. Often times our bodies recognize traumatic dates before our minds do ❤️
I had my best sales month ever on Posh for February (only beat January Posh #’s by $5 but it was a shorter month) but I do about 2.5x more sales on eBay than Posh (consistently). I’ve been selling on eBay for 20 years. It’s nice to see Posh sellers making the jump to eBay and having success. One thing to note when comparing Posh vs eBay sales, is the number eBay shows you includes shipping (and maybe tax?) that the buyer paid and the Posh number does not.
I thought it was just me, February sales were awful. I was practically giving items away. I decided to start cross listing because I literally felt like my store was on vacation mode for the past 2 weeks. Praying things improve for us all. 💐

I started out as a Poshmark only seller in 2018. I am now an eBay only seller. Don’t have patience for the “community” on Poshmark…. Sharing, Live Shows, etc. I live rurally and the inventory available to me is more conducive to eBay😊

My Poshmark has been very slow. And a lot of people are sending me $15 offers on items that are listed for $35 or more. One person got upset with me and sent a nasty message because I countered on their $15 offer. It’s the stupid live shows that are killing the Poshmark business. My feed is full of them.
Yes the offers are soooo low, like 75% off. At any given time there are dozens and dozens of posh lives. I hate them! My closet has died
My sales on poshmark went down over 1000 this month from last month and I listed 50 MORE items this month than Normal months. I am also hanging on because of ebay. You are not alone. This is rough and I've also been a reseller for over 8 years. Poshmark I either sell newer items or practically sell items for very little profit.

I had record sales this month. Both Ebay & Poshmark. My best month yet. However, when everyone was doing great in November & December, those were my lowest months. You just never know. And it's always scary when things are so slow, especially for an overthinker like myself.😅 Sending you all the positivity for a great March!

I can empathize with you, Lori. I set a goal for 2024 to list every day, no fooling. I have had a very good January (ebay coming in hot) and also an excellent February (Poshmark surpassed ebay). I also have sold many items from my closet and home, thanks to your inspiration. Those have helped boost my profit percentages these past two months. Hoping your March rebounds and brings you renewed success!
Same ! I have listed every day , 7 days a week since Jan 1st and my sales on both eBay and posh are very strong . The key is consistency with listing daily
I am new to reselling, still in my first year. I've been delisting, revising, and relisting 5 items every day, along with listing new items. Poshmark has been doing very well for me. eBay isn't to far behind Poshmark. Mercari just kinda sits there. In the short time I've been reselling, I have noticed some months are definitely better. I think one thing that has helped me the most recently is I started sourcing based on style then brand, which allows more variety in pricing. Times are tight for so many, and spending $15 to $20 on a pair of jeans is better than $50. So I try to cover all buyers and I think this is helping my sales. I do have to work a little more, but it is worth it. I know there will be more ups and downs, but that comes with any business. You just have to keep plugging away! 🦋
I started selling part-time online (Ebay) in 1999 when there was dial up (it took hours and a lot of patience just to upload one listing), all listings were auctions, you had to find/buy boxes to ship your items and actually go to the post office to pay for shipping . . those were the days . . the dark ages . . LOL :)
So I've seen quite a few ups and downs selling online through the years. This reminds me of pre and post 2008 when I had to sell my inventory at cost or at a loss just to move it. I was a Gold Power Seller at the time (a level they don't have anymore) . . so I was selling between $10,000 and $20,000 of merchandise per month before I took a hiatus from reselling in 2009.
I didn't start reselling again until a few years ago and I keep my inventory and overhead low. Right now I'm selling in one week what I used to sell in a day :(
Since sales were slow, I cross-listed to Posh last month . . not one sale . . but lots of crazy offers though :( I'm getting ready to take another hiatus and head to Plan B LOL😁
Hi Lori, I just love your honesty and candid nature. You are a treasure. My Husband's eBay business was extremely slow and sad in January and most of February...things have picked up fast in the past week, thankfully. We all press on...even through the slumps. This too shall pass. ❤
I lost my Dad in February 2022 and I noticed the past 2 February’s I don’t have a lot of motivation and feel in a funk than when the date rolls around I realize that it is probably what is causing me to slump even tho I think I am handling it ok. 💗

Whew! This month has really scared me and has had me doubting myself as a reseller. I have only been doing this for about two and a half years (8 months full-time) and this is by far the worst month so far. 🥺😢

Another reseller just mentioned that for the first time, eBay is set to outperform Posh for them. Sounds like a trend is underfoot.
Poshmark has been non-existent for me in probably 6+ months. eBay was out-performing even before that. Have barely thrifted, and am revamping my existing listings. Tough for now, but focus has been elsewhere due to big work projects.glad(?) to know it’s across the board for everyone…keep your head up!

The economy is in the dumps. People aren’t able to buy frivolous things. They can barely buy food. Lots of layoffs. I just think sales are going to be down for awhile….🙏

Yeah, my sales on Posh have been slow for awhile. eBay was doing really well until I had a couple of false INAD cases that I stood my ground on. My suggestion to you, accept any INAD cases and cover the return shipping back. It only takes a couple of cases that escalate to eBay support to drop Below Average and when that happens, sales tank!
My favorite videos of yours are thrifting videos. Watching you thrift and buns trips with Kim. I watch the hauls too, but the best part of the vids is the actual thrifting.

So thankful I have eBay. Posh has dropped about 75% for me since last May. I don’t do live shows and don’t plan on doing them. I assumed that’s why my Posh sales have dropped. Still get 7-10 sales a week on Posh so I don’t want to drop it. Ebay sales have been really good for me. Thankful for that.

Great video! Way to clear out! It’s the best feeling to let go of the bulky items! I had a surprisingly good sales month on Poshmark but I listed so many new items and delisted/relisted many as well. January was so awful!!! February was soooooo much better near the middle to end of the month. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 the rest of the year picks up
I looked at the last 2 years of Feb sales & a long with this year, one of the slowest months. But it's March now & going forward!! Scary for me because this is my only income & I'm really at that point of praying that I don't have to get a second job, but I also have great Faith & have tweaked a lot of my business in the last few months. Hang in there & remember our minds can be our greatest enemy ❤

Interesting to hear your sales numbers. I think it’s important to see that CZcams income was 50/50 with resale. Wonder if more videos would increase your sales. People see items they like and then go to eBay account to purchase.
My sales are fairly consistent. I think buyers are more interested in buying NWT or higher end brands. My best sales come from NWT items I’ve purchased on WN and resell. For example, this month I sold a NWT re/done sweater for $157 that I purchased for $42. I also sold a NWT All Saints jacket for $150 that I bought for $50 and NWT Barbour jacket for $150 that I paid $45. All of these items I had purchased for myself but didn’t work out. I’m also “decluttering” my inventory. Many of the items I sourced 2-3 years ago, I would never pick up today. There’s so much liquidation inventory in the resell market. I don’t think we as resellers can demand high dollar for used items unless it’s a special, in demand piece. I don’t like it or necessarily agree with it but it’s where I see things going. I’m hoping to sell most of my inventory by the end of the year and stop reselling. I have a new grand baby that I want to devote my time to. Always love your videos and info!! I’ve been watching for several years and learned a lot from you.

It was interesting to see the Poshmark sales graph. Mine follows similar patterns like sales when down in September but December was better.
I went to Japan last October and purchased an espresso cup with a snow globe cover with a scene from Kyoto and one from Osaka couldn’t fine one in Tokyo sold them on eBay one for 98 dollars and one for 85 they were 20 usd I’m going back again this October and will definitely pick up Starbucks exclusive to resell on eBay
Do you take an extra suitcase or ship them home? My daughter is going over in May and she's going to pick up some stuff as well. We just don't know how to get it back cost effectively.

I had 3 no sales days in February…which is a record for me. Was bringing in over 5k monthly and now lucky to do half that. Super frustrating for sure!

Whatnot and live shows are definitely adding to the resale issues. Poshmark has always been super slow for me. What hurts is ebay has been slow too. Spring will be a reset for me. Pretty much anything sitting will be pulled for a garage sale then whatever is left will be donated

Feb was my worst month of 2023, but this year has been one of my best months ever on Posh! Mostly due to some higher dollar dress, jean, and swim sales. I'm sure sales will pick back up for you soon!

eBay beat poshmark this month for me in sales as well, and I just started selling on eBay two months ago and I’ve been on poshmark for 4+ years ! Crazy!
I felt like February was slower too but I did my numbers this morning and it actually was decent. About average which isn’t bad considering I had 3 or 4 days with under $75 in sales. My minimum I shoot for is $200 per day. But in the end it all evened out to be an average but decent month. I too am desperately trying to declutter but right now it feels like everything I try to do a project the house just looks messier lol. I keep telling myself one day I’ll be on the other side of it. I still have my youngest at home for 2 more years so I’m trying not to fill my weekends with house projects because this is the last bit of real momma time I have left before I’m in a new chapter of life. The cleaning & organization can wait until he goes to college lol

This February compared to 2023 Feb was terrible for me. Im just part-time though. I made a sale every other day last year. This year, not even close.
I only sell on Ebay right now, but it has been very slow for me in Jan & Feb. I do think many brands, online retailers, and stores have been having some great sales though! Maybe that is contributing to the slow sales.
This was my worst month on Poshmark as well and it’s super upsetting.
It's definitely been really down hill for me on Poshmark my sales are extremely low for a couple of months now and it seems to be getting worst!

eBay has been great, Poshmark is always slow for me but I don’t focus on it like I do eBay. Have been even considering only listing on eBay and Etsy and quitting Poshmark as it is so bad. Loved slow fashion Fridays but you gotta have joy in making videos and it’s your channel, do what brings you joy!
Lori, it’s not just you. My sales are down 40% from last year on eBay, Posh and Mercari. Scary! I think WN and other live shows and the economy has hurt. We are lowering our prices to get sales but groceries etc is going up- crazy.

I loved your friday videos, but it was obvious that you were stressed about it and that's not good! I sell a little bit here in Sweden on a Swedish platform, mostly shoes, and Dec, Jan, feb is always slow. But it always ebbs and flows. It always help to delist and relist my inventory. I also sort out things that hasn't sold in like 2 years. Love your content, it's always fun❤

My Poshmark was pretty bad for February as well! I normally get 2.5-3k this time it was only 1k and I struggled to get it! Probably because I'm not promoting my closet. Wondering if I should stop "sharing/offers " with posherva and start using that money towards promotions 🤷♀️

I have wondered why I even thought I could be a reseller. I started about a year ago selling leather purses that I bought for myself but realized there is only space for so much. Well a year later I am thinking I should just donate all of it. I am in Canada so I think we have a smaller thrift purchasing community. Our postage is regular $13.49 which kills sales and discount is $9.99 or $6.99 which the difference comes out of resellers profits. We also don't have bins in my community so the cost to purchase for resell can be expensive.
I’m a part-time Canadian Poshmark reseller who also sells on Poshmark US. My Canadian sales were pretty poopy for February. I used to only cross-list to the U.S side if sales were crappy/I had an item I KNEW would do good over there/if I had time (HA!!). I made an effort to get more listed over there…. More consistently…and my US sales beat my Canadian ones this month! Still definitely not my highest sales month on any platform, but the exchange rate makes a huge deal at the end of the day. Poshmark is just weird and temperamental sometimes. With no rhyme or reason 🤷🏼♀ with the amount you’re listing/de-listing, I’m sure it will bounce right back. And your sales might have been slow, but the savings you made from not thrifting (sort of 😉) probably helped balance it out. I will miss your slow fashion Fridays! Though I haven’t committed a lot to it in my house, you’ve definitely got the bug in my ear, and my clutter has been driving me crazy, lol. But we all totally understand the craziness of life and the constraints it puts on us. You’ve accomplished SOOO much in your 20 weeks! You should be proud! I can’t wait to see the end result of it all! 😘
It’s been very up and down for the last two months. It didn’t help that due to a hand injury, I couldn’t list for most of December. That really messed with sales. If that happens again, I’m going to use a listing service to do the listings so I can keep some sales coming in. I’m working on being consistent but it’s been hard to get in a good groove.
My sales are not good on posh. eBay is where I started and it continues to be the place for most of my sales.
It was great for me on Poshmark and I’m starting to sell on EBay also. I’ll hopefully do better in a couple of months.

Is it time to retire Thriftless February? With Tina's help you're caught up on all your listings now & you implemented a great system. If I remember correctly, you developed Thriftless February as a way to manage your inventory... Seems to me, you got your inventory locked down ✅
I wonder if the time has come to retire Thriftless February? I started it 4 or 5 years ago and my business has evolved. I feel like there's always work to do behind the scenes (instead of thrifting) but things felt really different this year.
Are you doing promoted sales thru Poshmark? They contacted me and asked me to be part for their beta which I did for I think 30 days. After the trial period ended, I did not realize it, but they were charging me $20 per week for promoted listings. I was selling like crazy. Then I realized I was paying $20 a week. I stopped that and went to $5 per week for promotions. I’m still selling some, but not like I was when it was $20 a week. I am wondering if promoted listings is hurting those who choose not to participate?

Feb was incredibly slow
I had 5 straight days of no sales in February and that has never happened. It was so discouraging. I'm a SAHM and with my newest being 5 months old, so I've been trying not to have to use eBay because of the time with two platforms, but PM is basically going to force me over there.
I strongly believe the decrease sales is largely do to live sales. Which, knowing how low things sell for on live shows, I don't understand why sellers keep selling themselves short?
