listen if this is really the case then why doesn’t Toto just take Lewis out of the car.. The main thing is that it’s been 3 seasons with these regs and Mercedes has done nothing but gone backwards. and regardless of what updates they’ll bring to this car it really isn’t going to do anything for W15..and if the updates for the car doesn’t show any improvement in 2 more races then there really isn’t any need to continue to try develope a car that has diminishing returns.

When your competitors use your own engines and continually beat you, you know you are in deep trouble. All we ever get from Wolff repeatedly are promises and no delivery. They had a serious brain drain of their top engineers to Red Bull and despite their denial, they have never recovered to this day.
Try to do a season with minimum problem and live with the fact (max +redbull is impossible to beat)
There is so much mistrust in the team now its not funny ,lack of confidence between both sides because they are worried Hamilton will say something at the end of the season to Ferrari,, but the thing they don't realize is that the cars are changing every week just to try and catch up to RB and by the end of the season for next year the cars all will be totally different and 2025 will be nothing like today ,and they will have lost a whole year over stupidity.

My take is that Mercedes does not get the driver feedback they need to improve the car. In the past, the windtunnel time was not an issue and Mercedes had a good car combined with almost fixed technical regulations leads to mercedes staying in front. With the driver capabilities of Hamilton, that ended up in a lot of victories.
Now the table has turned, the disability of Hamilton to give more meaningful input to the team than "this car is slow man" results in failure race after race.
The China race shows it all. A very good running mercedes in the sprint race leading to 2nd finishing Hamilton. Red Bull driven by Max is still too big for them. THAN, Hamilton changed the car completely which leads to disaster. THIS shows he technically has no clue in what he is doing.
Max on the other hand, has been educated how a racing car works from his young child age, EVERY change His father made to his cart was explained in detail. This makes Max he very technically skilled driver providing maximal feedback to the team to improve / setup the car. Racing car development is a drive & teams combined effort. Hamilton has no clue in whats happening. Mercedes don't know whats happening in the car. Also looks like the car has a very difficult and narrow setup window between perfect and miserable.
Next year with Hamilton at Ferrari, we will see the same evolve, 99% sure his move to Ferrari will become a failure for Ferrari. As Hamilton does not understand a completely new car (Ferrari is NOT Mercedes) he needs to get familiar with the car and will start to change what was OK to his liking ending in a worse Ferrari. We have seen Saints performing in the Ferrari so that is a good car. This all will be ending up in Hamilton & LeClerc fighting for position at best and end up off track after a collision, as we have seen a frustrated Hamilton seen doing time after time. OR Hamilton will be the second driver of the team, making Hamilton sink through the ice and let his head hang down, he has been in F1 to long to "reset" himself and get 20 year younger.
That guy should retire he is making a fool of himself with Mercedes and he will do the same with Ferrari he is too old. Ferrari has a better driver Leclerc.

7, 8 time champ when he had literally no competition. Same as if Verstappen won 7, 8 championships with current advantage, both these guys can wrap up 10 - 12 - 15 championships and value and significance of it all will be negligible because people know under what circumstances they won it.
Also, Hamilton would be more suiting playing basketball, or wrapping, jumping trees etc... not really in a race car. Mercedes should have embraced Rosberg, although I didn't like that guy much either.

The sport has rarely, if ever, seen multiple champions unless they have been in superior machinery, so I don't know what you are hating on...? Do you think if you put Stroll or a Latifi in Ham's machines that they would have any or as many titles?
The best drivers tend to end up in the best cars. It really is that simple. Unless they are Alonso - in which case we know why.
Rosberg is a world champ, yes, but people in the know will tell you how close it was and that Ham's blown engine can be said to have swung it Ros's way. Ham had a tad worse reliabilty that year and it's part of the game. So, Nico won and then he retired because it took too much out of him. As for Merc (not) embracing him...? He was in the team before Ham and had equal machinery all those years, the chances were there and he managed to grab it "just" once. So again, what are you on about?
Actually, the fact that Ham beat Ros for all those years and Max is destroying his team mates proves that they are the better drivers. If you wanna go into the trolling "argument" about how the car is set up for them, then when the RB was more to Checo's liking than to Max', Max was still way closer to Checo than Checo is to Max nowadays. Proving that the team designs the fastest car + driver combination. Meaning, if the car is tricky for one driver, so be it if the other driver makes the package overall faster.
