  • In this video we take apart an HP Deskjet 2130 printer. It is simple to take apart to get inside the printer, to install a CISS or Continuous Ink Supply System, and fix common issues.
    I missed the power cord and to replace it, watch this video:

    Thank you. Our 2134 developed some kind of paper jam that the control panel kept insisting was "out of paper". Your video gave me the confidence to unscrew the damned thing and find a piece of (redundant?) hard black tape sticking out of a kind of sump for, I suppose, ink left over from head cleaning. Perhaps the tape once had a sponge attached? Who knows. Anyway, I squelched it back down, screwed it all back together, and now it works fine. De momento, por lo menos.

    So happy I ran across your video on HP printer disassembly. I was doing a interior clean on my HP1220c Deskjet and while cleaning around the cartridge slide bar with some alcohol the "encoder strip" got dislodged on one end so I took it out. Replaced it and printer heads are not moving. Saw on your video that the "encoder strip" must be threaded through the cartridge slider assembly. I am sure that is my problem. Was hesitating as since it is called "encoder strip" I thought perhaps it may be important as to which end you put in to the machine. I t can be installed I think in either direction physically but I wondered if the strip has a "Left and Right Ends" making it important as to which end you attached to the left end of the machine or right side. Or is it "non-directional" as far as re-installing it??? Thanks.

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  Před 2 lety

      Hi. Thanks for watching. Yes, it usually is important, but if the amount of blank space is same on each side, it won't matter which side is right or left. It's an older model, I'm not sure how it is supposed to be. I'll research and if I find out, I'll update you

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  Před 2 lety +1

      Does it do that for copy or printing? If for both, you may need to check cartridge and make sure all packing protective film tape is removed from cartridge. Clean the contacts on the printer. They are golden dots in the back of the carrier, where it touches the golden contacts on cartridge. If it is doing blanks for prints only and copy is fine, settings need to be checked on the device from which the job is being sent from.

    Hi man, i just replace my HP 2135 tricolor cartridge with a new one last night. Before placing it into the printer slot, I firstly test the ink cartridge using some tissue and the ink is good. But after i print test some pages the color ink doesn't come out at all. I check the printing preferences/print properties, the option is already at color printing. You have an idea what went wrong? Thanks

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  Před 3 lety

      I'm sorry for the trouble. Is it a new HP ink cartridge or aftermarket or "remanufactured"? Often times the remanufactured ones from eBay or Amazon may have a problem, rarely though. If ink cartridge feels like it is filled and seems to be in good condition, check the golden contacts area on the ink cartridge and the printer. Make sure no tape residue is there. Please let me know if this helps. You can also try tapping ink on a moist napkin or paper towel.

    • @hardimanfaisal
      @hardimanfaisal Před 3 lety

      The ink cartridge is brand new, opened from a sealed box i bought from a store. I already tried tapping the cartridge into a tissue several time and they're good, the colors are bright and clear, so I think theres nothing wrong with the ink cartridge. I'm guessing the problem is on the inside of the printer, but I don't know which part it is. It's a 5 years old HP 2135 though.

    Where is the waste tank?

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  Před 2 lety

      There isn't one on this printer.. There are pads that are on the very bottom of the printer that absorb waste ink.

      It could be clogged ink cartridges at the nozzles. Try cleaning bottom of ink cartridges with warm water or windex.

      Unfortunately the starter ink cartridges have very little ink, however it is possible that the setting of printing of photo nay have been set to very high quality and that is why it used up ink so fast.
