One of the Most important players of the Western Conference Finals in 09 against the Nuggets with those clutch steals. Lakers don't win it all that year without Ariza
I love Trevor as much as the next Laker fan but saying he deserved the MVP of the WCF when Kobe averaged 34, 6, and 6 that series is just hilarious. Everyone always tries to make it seem that the 2008-2010 Laker team was some super team when in reality it was just the same Laker team from 2006-07 with Gasol added.
Yup he's one of my favorite lakers. Too bad we couldn't keep him. My favorite 3 and D guy ever 😅
@@aiyachristianwhere did he mention he deserved the mvp of wcf over kobe? Unless he edited it but the comment I’m looking is saying he was one of the most important players and he wasn’t lying…
@@cristianlopez6801 i edited it because of that comment. I said Ariza was the Mvp of the conference finals because of the clutch steals but didn't feel like getting a bunch of replies saying no Kobe was. The whole point of my post was to give Ariza his flowers
@@Lakeshow82 well kobe definitely was the mvp no discussion about but Ariza was easily the 2nd most important player from that series. I personally felt gutted when he left but he deserved to get the bag after that
Anybody else still get choked up hearing unheard KOBE stories!?😢🐐🏀
RIP Kobe 8-24
💯
EVERY time.💜💛
MAMBA FOREVER 💜🙏
Every. Single. Time.😢
Ariza will never be forgotten by Laker fans
ariza was the OG 3 & D specialist
I wish the lakers would have kept him . I felt like he was Kobe’s pippen and he was getting better and better each playoff series in 09
Bruce Bowen, Michael Cooper, Tayshaun Prince?
@@NotAnAstronaut2k i stand corrected bruce bowen was the real OG
ariza was one of the best in the league at what he did while he was in houston
@williamjohnson9158 yes he did, he was also on fire with the Lakers specially in the playoffs.. i was sad when they let him go cuz he was a great role player w/ potential
Peak Ariza was amazing to watch as a competitor, dope to see him doing well.
Imagine being on the bench and Kobe Bryant wills you into the game, wills you into starting. The ultimate lookout
Trevor Ariza...legacy lives on in Trey Murphy & Herb Jones. They together remind me of him. Salute to the Legend Trev.
Trevor Ariza was one of my favorites when he was playing with the Lakers and always will be. ❤❤❤❤
Man love seeing y'all give Trevor his flowers, he was important on that 09 run. Always liked him and when he played with Houston he was a bucket every time.
All the burnt 😀 Love it
I always love hearing what Kobe's leadership style was like, behind the scenes. The positive impact he had on his teammates, when the cameras weren't on.
Matt deserves some plaques or stayues for his interview work. One of the best doing it right now sports or otherwise
Thank y’all for always asking for Kobe stories. I appreciate it men.
Love this EP. Dude is such a solid pro and slept on hooper in his time in the NBA. Every team needed a dude like him. 🔥
Trevor Ariza doing a press run or what
Westchester vs Fairfax. One of the biggest rivalries in the entire nation.
💯
No shade to Club Sha Sha but this is how you interview someone… Shannon was grilling Ariza about his son and harden for like 45 minutes…
this was a dope interview. didnt know much about bro. meanwhile shannon sharpe interview seem like all he asked about was other players he played with
that boy moving bricks behind the scenes he not slick 😂😂
This was a dope episode. Thank you!
I was a walkon at Arizona from 2005-09 and Hassan adams was my teammate my freshman year. Dude had stupid bounce. Wish he had a longer NBA career. He would thrive in today’s game. All the smoke brings it! 💨🏀
We were sophomores in high school together 🤦🏾♂elite athlete stupid long arms lol
If Hassan were 6'8 we'd be mentioning him with the greats! He just had IT!
@@ZayNova 100% agree, I played for lute Olson my first 2 years at Arizona (God rest his soul) and he said Hassan was the most athletic player he coached besides Andre Iguodala and Richard Jefferson at that time.
Dude was such a freak athlete. He Dunked on me a lot in practice everyday 😂
@@brandonwilson9101small world! Those Westchester squads were legit! 🤝🏽👌🏽🏀
why is he on a press run? dope interview, way better than that bullshit Shannon did, just asking this man about other people the entire time and ignoring him as an individual.
How many times did stak or Matt talk about tough they are
what are you even trying to say...@@McNetDeck
@@shenal1369 they talk about themselves just as much as Shannon does other people... at least Stak can. Barnes mostly tries to keep it about the guest
relaying personal experience in a conversation is not the same as inquiring about other people for an entire interview. Stak deviates but ATS as a whole dive into the guest and their experience on how it relates to a question, where Shannon is straight up just asking segment questions from ESPN. @@McNetDeck
I’ll never forget when Trevor cleared a 6 ft brick wall in middle school and gave a dude the coldest 1-2 combo after he got hit by a donut that was suppose to hit someone else. Classic sh*t lol
LOL WHAT????😂😂
he does seem like he's about that life, but man thats wild😂
The wall by the gym that had the pool on top? 😂
@@R-Killa1337 lol naw, it was the wall that surrounded the patio area behind the library. Oh boy tried to run back into the library but Trevor caught his a*s. 😂
Pioneer of the 3&D players
Matt's more stoned than usual today 😂🎉
When will you all get Dennis Rodman on the show?
U one of my favorite players ever thank you for interview Ariza 💪🏾
I would love to see James Harden on the show.
They can’t stand that dude, they wouldn’t bring him on
Trevor a real one!
Don’t nothing piss me off more then Stack5 reading an ad 😂 great episode though
I feel you 😂
Ariza was a beast!
Thank God y’all brought up to rockets I loved ariza was here ❤
Yall be so geeked man 😂 I love it
Appreciate the shoutout Tre 💪🏾💯
Ariza one of my favorite players growing up in La
Super underrated episode
Trev is a real one...One of the guys he mentioned was John Williams who I played with everyday during the summer in 1999. We used to workout everyday at the Clippers practice facility. John was a mentor of mine, and helped my game out tremendously. When he said there were too many great players out of L.A., he wasn't lying.
That hoodie Matt got on is 💪🏾🔥. Better than any of Rodman shoes ever. Especially the zip up 🪱 🪱.
Man them high! Lol OGs
Another great interview with Trevor Ariza…. Lots of great insights and stories…
Wow trev back to back with unc and matt&jack
I remember when he played in new Orleans, miss him here
I need a Wilson candler interview
He's very smart, I saw his interview with Shannon Sharpe!
damn, Trevor is decent...good to see him well...
Trevor Ariza was a true star in his role guy in the NBA for a long time.
they definitely sparked up before the interview lmao. good stuff
He matched the MAMBA MENTALITY
damn time flies i remember his rookie year on the knicks in 04 had a good year on a bad team
As a fan of the Rockets, hearing the name Bobby Brown makes me smile the gangsterest smile
His dunk on The Fro was nasty!
Honestly. If you put Robert Horry in the Hall of Fame for making some jump shots Ariza at least deserves some looks
Laker for life!!!
22:40 I can imagine Isiah smiling while telling Trevor all of this 🤣🤣
Trev Boogie! 🔥🔥🔥
Low key legend
Bro watching this actually make me feel like shit changing a lil too fast I remember being a kid playing with the lakers on 2k and dishing it to Trevor in the corner with Kobe
Ay OG's can you guys please get big Al Jefferson on the pod. I'd love to hear his story. Dude was a beast and a crazy stat stuffer in high school.
GET VERNON MAXWELL CRAZY ASS UP HERE!!😂😂
Imagine bringing the basketball up the court against these guy's on one team?!😰🍻🍺
My nigga Trev... i loved this guy
Same play style(granted i was more O than D but he made me respect my length & body) he was a Tayshaun on the West but always played his ass off
Trev u earned it & deserve ur respect
Glad the interview isnt about other people lol good job n keep it up
Love this show but I wish you'd get your team to balance and EQ your audio better.
Kobe’s protege!
To this day i think if ariza stayed a laker in that laker squad we would have got three titles, him leaving really hurt LA...i appreciate ariza thank you dawg.
WE NEED ANDRAY BLATCHE ON THE POD!!
My wife's sweetheart. Lol
God bless you all. Much ❤
He was the original 3-D player.
My boy matt loaded😂
I give hoopers kids way more props bc dude waking up at 16 with a scat pack most ppl not gone be motivated.
I'm smoking a fatty to this one. Shout out to Trevor. He's super chill.
Got him looking like a proud auntie
It hurt to see him go.
Dam I thought y’all was funna ask em bout the shit wit ice Trae 😂😂😂
Ariza played like Scotty Pippen in the triangle
Demar, James Harden and T Chandler
Get Jamal Mashurn and Calbert Chaney on the show.
3D player Prince with the Lakers
LoL Westchester had'em fasho
True, but St Bernards had way more lol
St. Bernard's was second at best
I forgot he went to Westchester... but my old ass graduated in 93' lol so I didn't get to see him play
Trevor got dreads now that's what's up. This might be my year to make the change
We need a Monta episode #MississippiBullet
What T.A got on his feet? Vans?
Dope real LA guy
Love and respect the show. I was here since the beginning BUT I’m tired of interviews. I would love for y’all to break down current games and news from y’all perspective. Interviews are nice every now and then but y’all episodes with KG and Paul are legendary. The OG’s talking pure basketball is my favorite. But I’m just a fan from the stands. Continue to do you.
The whole point of this show is long-form interviews with legends and near- legends, and it's one of the best, along with 'Knuckleheads. There are plenty of highlight and breakdown channels on CZcams, but that's not what folks come to 'All the Smoke' for.
@@bluegregory6239 spoken like a producer of the show. Well said! It was the best thing on CZcams until other platforms came to compete. Great work doe!
Shoutout Ariza. My dumbass Knicks shouldve kept him.
It's crazy 98k people watched the video and only 2k liked it? If you watch it, just click the 👍🏿
But good lil interview my first time seeing an Trevor interview. Seems like ah cool laidback dude. Didn’t know his son is ah diaper dandy
Always wanted Ariza to stay Laker for life.
Mj Kobe bron. Word !
Yall notice everyttime someone does in interview with someone it seems like every podcast always drops they interviews with that person at the same time. Wonder if these people just go on a pod tour of interviews back to back
Did they put this out just to step on the club shay Shay interview? Lol
Trevors mom and my mom were best friends when they were kids
We need Jeff Teague
Ariza look like CDOT honcho relative 😅
Kobe goat 🐐
Y’all let unc get this one first
27:12 crazy how they hate Stan practices but love heat culture.
Speaking of that Rockets team, get J-Smoove on!!!
Losing Trev and getting Artest was a mixed bag for me as a fan... i absolutely loved Ariza and thought without him... they wont go deeper into the playoffs beyond 2-3yrs
Kobe was peaked and he needed young legs that had his same mentality
