Hi Kent! The answer is yes if it is a championship course. You must be a resident or guest of a resident to play the executive courses. That said, they are not permitted to make a tee time in advance. They have to call in on the day of play to see if any times are available. If so, they are able to play. Thank you for watching!
Hi KM! We have a video coming out in about a week showing all of our favorite places that are close! Thanks for the suggestion and please keep watching!
Hi Ladies! Thank for the videos you guys are getting better and better! I have a question, you said a lifestyle visit off season is around $100 a night… would it be $100 per house? Or $100 per person? If my husband and myself came would it be X 2? Thanks again!
Hi Doug! There are four ranges here. Most of the championship courses do have a warm up net. As far as the pricing goes, I cannot find anything where they give the cost. You need a token which can be purchased at any of the four ranges, or you can purchase a card which you can buy buckets at a discounted price. My husband thinks the last time we loaded our card, we put 20 on and he thinks it was about $70. I will do a little more research for you and see if I can get some current pricing. No yearly subscriptions. The ranges are at Sarasota, Lopez, Palmer and Glenview. Recently they did release information about a new range being built down in the newer area.
Almost all of the rec centers. If you get the paper, just check the Rec News (I think it comes out Thursday??) and they will tell you all of the activities available at each center. If you dont get the paper, go to districtgov.org. Look to the right. Click on Recreation and Parks Publication. That is the same book, but on line. It shows everything happening at each rec center including what amenities you will find at each. Thank you for watching!
I'm sorry if you have addressed this already but are there as many activities off season as season? I live in Naples and the place shuts down all summer with no shows or activities due to the part time resident population.
There sure are! The music at all three squares continues nightly, as well as all the sporting activities. People just aren’t quite as active in the afternoon because of the heat. Really, nothing changes except the number of people here. Thanks for the question and for watching!
Sawgrass gets some good, small bands (trios) but needs a better sound system! The Food Court is great….burgers, coal-fire pizza, fish place, and ice cream all good. I’m a newbie in DeLuna and go there often. Went to our “Lifestyle Orientation” today…..good info, but you two really give more info! Even though we now live here, I’ll definitely keep watching! Thanks!
Thanks for showing pictures of the 4 of you out. The 2nd picture that you had your hair in hat, you look like good friend from my old job in NY. Love your videos on my Fri morning.
Here is a question...if someone is going to live in The Villages full time, is it advisable not to own a black car because of the heat in the summer months? I currently own a black car, and if I move to Central Florida in a couple of years, would I be too toasty in the summer? All of the snow has melted in the Chicago area...supposed to be in the 40's for the next 6 days, but still not as nice as February in The Villages.
Hey ladies. What are your opinions of the medical facilities (hospitals and clinics) and availability for both appointments and emergencies. A nurse here in Lakeland said I would be disappointed as a resident as the medical isn’t keeping up with The Villages population growth. 41:53
Hi Stephen! Laura is correct. There is another hospital being built here. Im not sure that space is the problem. I believe it has more to do with having enough staff, although many people have commented on our videos and have said that is a nationwide issue in healthcare. I have been to Leesburg hospital once with a planned procedure and it was smooth as glass. We have also been to the hospital on an emergency basis twice and we were 50/50 with those experiences. I do know that they are actively trying to recruit doctors from across the US. I received a letter asking if I like my doctor from the area I moved from and if so to let them know so they can attempt to recruit. So, hopefully that helps a little. It is hard to know if they are overwhelmed here, or if it is truly an issue everywhere. Thank you for watching!
Yes, you can! You can download The Villages app. There is a section that says destinations. Then you can put in the address and click golf cart directions. Thank you for watching!
Hi Nancy! I went on line to research this when the original viewer asked and in Orlando we have the USTA National Campus. They have over 100 tennis courts. According to their web site they did have 4 red clay courts. I was there for an event and checked their map as well as we walked the whole campus…nothin! Paris may be the closest! Thank you for watching!
Great video
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for taking your time to share this with us, ladies. Much appreciated!

Betty is an amazing athlete, playing both golf and tennis.

@@thevillages365 Thank you.
Can non-residents from the local area make a tee time to play the Village courses? Wondering if they take tee time opportunities from residents.

Great to see the hubby's! Your videos are so easy to listen to, a great team, and you get right to the point.
Hehe! They are camera shy, but we like to sneak them in every once in awhile. 🤣
Would you please recommend smaller cities outside the Villages that you like to visit.

Thank you! It would be double occupancy for $99. So if just you and your hubby, that would be it! Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for another great video👍
Thanks as always for watching!
How many golf ranges are in the villages? Cost per bucket or hourly? Do any offer yearly one price subscription?

@@thevillages365 Thank you, starting my research. I will be making a lifestyle visit in the future.
Thanks for the info. Great to hear new questions. What areas have outdoor exercise equipment?

Great video. Thank you for the information. I know you can use Sun Pass for tolls. Can you use Easy Pass? It is used in many places in the North East.
Hi Kate! Thanks for watching! Yep, Easy Pass is accepted here too!
We scheduled a week visit and we were told that you get movie tickets, a round of golf and a couple of other things to do there.
Yes! Enjoy!
Thanks for the info! Did you look at houses in other retirement communities before choosing The Villages?
Hi Jill! Nope, neither of us did. We both had family living here and kind of thought we would be happy here. Thank you for watching!

Hi Laura! I would say all of the cars get hot regardless of color! 🤣 glad your weather is warming up! Rainy here today

I believe a hospital is supposed to be built south of Route 44. Don't know how true that is, and hospitals don't get built overnight.

Does your phones GPS navigate you well when driving around in the golf carts?

Sorry, I meant Debbie.

Air B&B has rooms for rent from village owners,
Thanks Larry!
Generally the birds will be nicer and more intelligent than people anywhere, except that they don't play golf.

I have never seen red clay tennis courts in Florida. I think one would have to go to Paris for that.
