We watch “The Villages Newcomers,” with Jerry & Linda every Tuesday and most Thursdays. They constantly talk up how great the lifestyle is and all the friendly neighbors. There’s always the disclaimer, “Don’t take our word for it…” They seem to be an honest couple. Still, one would think if things are as bad as comments I’ve been reading of late, they would be addressing it to some detail rather than dismissing it as pretty much the fringe.

Jerry and Linda are CZcamsrs like yourself who present their experiences of living in The Villages no different than Skip, Rusty, Roy & Karen, etc. They and all other Villages CZcamsrs should not have to justify their living in The Villages experiences because those are THEIR experiences and they are pretty clear about that. Anyone who purchases a home in The Villages sight unseen along with never even visiting the community and expect to have the same experiences as Jerry, Linda, etc. and end up disappointed it is their own fault for not doing their own due diligence research by obtaining info from many sources before making the huge investment of purchasing a home in The Villages. The info Jerry, Linda, Rusty, etc. was very valuable to me and my husband when considering moving to The Villages, but it was our own experiences we had during our two lifestyle visits and taking a leap of faith are what led us to purchase a home in The Villages. For those who have concerns about the content any of the TV CZcamsrs are putting out there is an easy solution to that which is don't watch their videos.

Yeah, Jerry and Linda are great but they pass out rose colored glasses that are sugar coated to pull you to the Villages. If you want the unbiased truth about the Villages, you have to watch Skip who does the news.

If you are considering a move to the villages, you MUST DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK! Jerry & Linda have done a great job of explaining things given their experience. If you don't like it, do your own research. It's very simple.

If I lived in The Villages, a corporation run by 2 families, I would spend 5 minutes of my time, let alone my money, advertising for them, knowing if you say anything detrimental they will take Legal action against you.
Well Daniel, I'm sure some people are not happy or not keen on the lifestyle here but as for me I'll always try to provide the strait scoop. Nothing is perfect for sure but our time in The Villages has been very positive! You can look at it as advertising however I'm hopeful everyone sees it for what it is...just me trying to provide information on TV. Thanks for your input and Cheers.
