Identifying and seeing where your money is going is huge. Once I started, doing a budget and identifying where I could save it created more money for savings and investments.

Nice savings in sinking funds. . You know you could put the $100 bills into the sinking funds into your sinking funds so that your envelopes aren’t so full.

i been budgeting forever but i be eating out or my son needs something and i pull and end up at the end of year ( not month bc i dont look at my expenses or keep track) and ill be broke.. basicly my budgeting wasnt so good 🤣😩so i was looking around and saw the budget mom i was curious so i did alot of research and the book was expensive ( i mean to me it was) so i told myself i need a better way to budget and keep track.. i got alot of budgeting things from etsy ( did my research on that also) so i think im ready for the savings/budgeting journey. you video was so good i loved it.. ❤️
Thanks for sharing. I was like you. My family and I used to eat out a lot. The first time I started tracking my expenses, that is when I found out I was wasting a lot of money on food. I think this is what we need to see. Girl, don't give up. I know it's hard in the beginning but you can do it.

I ended up buying a printable version of the workbook since she's out of the hard copy and I bought binder & sleeves 😍 thank you so much!! What kind of tip do you have to keep at it? I always start but never fully go through with it and end up quitting for some reason. 😭
Thanks. I think you should start slow so you don’t get overwhelmed. Budget your paycheck and for the cash envelopes maybe start with a couple cash envelopes so that you can get used to it. And as time goes keep adding more cash envelopes.

You could exchange some of the smaller bills in your Christmas funds with at least the two hundred dollar bills in your grocery funds to thin out the Christmas fund envelope.

Is that the printable verse of the budget moms workbook? I use a happy planner but I would like to use the budget moms worksheets inside of my planner. I’m fairly new to budgeting
I have the workbook and remove the pages from the coil. Then I put them in the happy planner.
Why don’t you keep the money in the bank ? You could earn interest on it.
Right. It's SCARY having hundreds and hundreds laying around. Theft. Fire. Not earning interest in a HYSA. I do a method similar to envelope stuffing but ALWAYS electronic. This is not safe or smart.
My bank doesn’t have the ability have having multiple savings. They do offer money market, but I want to be able to see the different saving categories like they do in other banks. I do put my money in a safe, so it’s protected from water, fire, etc..
@@paulinasbudgetlife5512 Do you realize you can join a different bank if your first bank won't allow you to have a second savings account? Or even an online bank like Ally. This is 2020, you have options, even if you live in the middle of nowhere. And which bank may I ask do you have which won't even hold multiple savings accounts? That's unheard of.

i suggest you should invest in something . Invest in either REIT (real estate investment trust) or stocks.
i highly recommend investing in stocks, they are not hard to learn and specially ETF stocks . You dont have to involved much.
We eventually want to get into real estate investment.

I do have an emergency fund. I have my employer direct deposit $100 into an other checking account, and the rest of my income goes into my primary checking account.

I bought the Paycheck Budget workbook by the Budget Mom. Then I put the inserts in a Big Happy Planner. The plastic envelopes I use for my sinking funds I bought them on Amazon. Both links are in the description.

Hello! I have a question. U got paid 4x per month. How do you know how much $ to put in per envelope ? if your initial amount for groceries budgetted is $280, do you put the full amount envelopes everytime u get paid??? I get paid 2x a month, and my budget amount for groceries per month is $500. I dont know if i should put only $250 per paycheck.
I take out The $280 every 2nd and 4th paycheck of the month. You can try to put 250 per check and see if it works for you. Remember a budget can always be changed to fit you.
If I buy the plastic envelopes you listed with the notebook they will fit on the book right? Like the holes will line up correctly?
Yes, The plastic envelopes I listed have two options the A5 and the A6. Make sure you choose the A5 because the Notebook I listed is an A5.

Its roughing every two weeks. My husband gets paid every 1st and 15 of each month and I get paid every two weeks.

Back to school is usually clothes, shoes, school supplies, and possibly beginning of the year fees.
I use the back to school fund to buy my kids clothes for school and I also use it to pay the school fees.

Have you ever thought about exchanging all your small bills to big bills?
Now that the lobby banks are open i will go exchange them for bigger bills.
