I've also seen it done where instead of the trash can they just plug the bottom and acid directly then they cleaning out before turning it in on

You can also use ph minus and use warm water

Dishwasher liquid soap does the same thing, and it's less harsh to the filter's fingers. Use dilution of 1cup of doap to 5 gallon of water, mix it well, place the fingers into a tall bucket, leave it overnight, rinse with garden hose with a dpray nuzzle.

My pool guy told me to just use the power washer. Earth always get stuck on the inside and the top. I’ve found that the $99 electric power washer from Harbor Freight has just the right amount of power to clean the fingers without breaking them…I used a stronger gas power washer last year and broke a couple of fingers. Muriatic acid never worked as well for me.

You have the cord from the pump motor connected directly to a 1900 box. Definitely not code.

How can I know if a grid needs to be replaced??

If you are referring to flexible tube , the need for replacement becomes obvious when you see signs of tear and dark stains becomes permanent. Even after you backwash and do your best at getting it cleaned the operating pressure is always high. There are more possibilities.

    Hello
How much acid and how much water 💦 do you use?

    • @handymanschool

I do not measure quality of water/acid. As in the video fill up a container with water and add 1:5 ratio acid to water.

The 7/16” nuts you removed. I lost one. Are they called Deez Nuts so when I go to Home Depot they will know what I’m looking for?

I would take one along for matching while you are at Home Depot.

@@handymanschool good call. I went there today and asked the Home Depot guy, “do you know where I can find deez nuts” and he looked rather perplexed. I will go back tomorrow and show him. Thank you.
