Welcome back to Casually Competitive MTG! We are a group of friends who enjoy playing fast-paced, semi-competitive EDH / cEDH games. In today’s game we have some Magic: The Gathering Commander gameplay with a matchup between Koll the Forgemaster; Jeska, Thrice Rebord and Ishai Ojutai Dragonspeaker; Kalamax the Stormsire; and Selvala, Explorer Returned. Hey all! Like I mentioned at the beginning of the video we have a few changes planned over the next few weeks to speed up the time it takes to edit a video without sacrificing necessary elements. In this video we recorded the game with our livestream's overlay which allows us to update the card images and life totals while playing the game and that ends up saving about 2-4 hours of time. If people don't mind this compromise we have some design changes planned to make it look less like the livestream (cleaning up the overlay to reduce the size of certain elements, remove unneeded elements like recent subscriber, etc) which we think will help. Let us know your thoughts!

sometimes the card you mention doesn't show up in the middle, which can be unfortunate if you don't know what the card does. You could make this process of editing a lot easier by having one of you find the images and timestamps you would use those images in, and have the other add the images in at the correct timestamps.
Really enjoyed the video. Absolutely no issue with the overlay.
Played two games against that bird. First one he roflstomped the table, because everyone was disregarding the potential damage.
Second game I made sure Ishai died quick. And often. Everyone rejoiced.
I'm interested to see how the Koll deck does. Wizards have released so many quality equipment commanders recently! 😄

Hey the Selvala decklist in the description is for the mono green version of Selvala and not the Selesyna version

I built a similar deck Ishai and Jeska without all the competitive pieces, and is still fun.

sweet jeska build, i’ve been brewing tymna but not cedh. it’s reliant on beaters like goldspan dragon, doom whisperer, and some other pet cards. would love to see a worldgorger dragon jeska build. she’s so good at just being an infinite mana sink

I see you got rid of the hand size and commander damage displayers... understandable to make the editing easier, though I will miss them.
I’d prefer those to the scrolling paetron members. I wonder how different a script it is to write.
I really like channels that have the hand count. Makes it a bit easier to keep track of everyone and get an idea of who may be holding things up or just empty hands

Seems brave that voltron deck has one wincon. Seems a good magistrate or abrupt decay would shut it down.
I do have a couple ways to win, isorev, beats, dockside loops, and brain freeze/breach, I just mainly try to win with bird beats. But I can agree that drannith cripples the deck pretty hard. Main reason I put bolt in actually. Just another way to kill those problematic stax creatures shutting down my gameplan.
@@Sliver_Boi, Dunno if I’d claim “beats” with 10 creatures in the deck, most of whom have a power of 2.
Don’t get me wrong, the deck was tight and I’m musing about building it myself.
The beats in this deck in particular mainly just applies to Ishai. Technically you could jeska pump one of the other creatures but they're not gonna do too much.
That's the reason I called the deck Falcon Punch lol. All about that big bird

You don't bring out Kalamax without a counter spell to follow it up. He's too threatening to other players
The sound sync is the reason, why they use film flaps.
Even though it didn't affect the game, but I do want to point out that Eldritch Evolution exiles itself on resolution.

dockside cant be targeted while lightning greaves is equipped. doesnt affect the outcome but just an fyi
It was targeted in response to the equip, which is totally a valid and legal play.
I'm late to comment, but Adam infuriated me. Could have cast Ishai w/o the Signet. Opponents cast 5 spells. He could have went Signet, Jeska, murder someone.
unprotected ishai is a terrible idea
