A guided tour of the Iron Age burial ground at Borre

Midgard vikingsenter takes you on a tour of the unique Iron Age burial ground Borre located in Norway. The burial ground contains Scandinavias largest amount of monumental burial mounds from the late Iron Age.

Very nice. My heart hurts when I see these places. They feel like a home I can never return to. It's amazing what you do here. Honoring the sacrifice of warriors who literally gave everything to protect what they loved.

Fascinating 😊I was an exchange student in Norway for a year when I was young. I was in a kommune called Stange, which is located on the eastern shores of Lake Mjøsa, in Hedmark. There were mounds lying in the farmers’ fields too, and I was told these were Vikings’ graves 😮
