- Not far away from where I live, there is an Viking burial site, that I'm visiting and talking about. This is a very important place with lots of story about our culture heritage.

Thomas, great show. The city where you live makes a liquor that has given me both pleasure and some pain. I discovered in in Aarhus in 1976. This was my first trip abroad from the USA. I travelled from Copenhagen to Friedrikshavn, then on to the other Scandanavian Countries. My maternal side is one generation removed from Gjovik, Raufoss, Vestre Toten, Oppland, NO. I so enjoy your vids and what I’m learning from them.

thank you tom,this looks beautifull place for the ancestors to enter valhalla.bedford uk where i live was once a danish.viking town around 1015.tomoro my family will eat at a restaurant named THE DANISH CAMP along the river near bedford.archeology found a site here from where the danes camped,repaired their boats before raiding our town.the area was later divided with a border between saxon and danes called the DANELAW.i love your video and all the history you bring us.i am catching up watching all your older films.much respect tom..

Really interesting video Tom. Thanks for sharing. We have a place here in Yorkshire called 'Lindholme' too sadly it's the home of a prison.
We owe a lot of our history here in Yorkshire to the Viking raiders and settlers. I've probably mentioned before even my family name finds it's origins in the Norse language.

Most of the tombs were made for families 😉 but the Viking warlords had their own tombs

We have this stones all over Denmark … they came with the ice age. So I think they are local findings. Vi do have many Raven here among other crow birds. Atb to you 👌🏻😊

Although I am British I have Viking genes but only got this confirmed recently when I got my genes checked. Many years ago I started suffering from stomach problems,and following my instinct I put myself on a "Tollund man" diet after some research and my stomach problems were greatly reduced. Without realising it the diet of my ancestors had helped me out!
