Greenwood high school, located in a remote mountainous area, two students found themselves trapped and vulnerable. The place they once knew has changed in unsettling ways, haunted by evil creatures. To escape, they must explore the mysterious campus filled with ominous objects and puzzles. How will they survive in this ever threatening environment? Could they return to safety in one piece?
Set in a fictitious world in the 1960s Taiwan under martial law, Detention, the story-driven atmospheric horror incorporated East Asian elements rarely used in games. Taoism, Buddhism, Chinese mythology, the game draws on local Taiwanese cultural references to tell an unique and terrifying story.
In this 2D atmospheric horror side scroller, players navigate the main characters in a classic point and click fashion to explore a high school where evil encroaches. While hiding from the rampaging monsters, you are to find items to interact with in the otherworldly rooms. And as more mysteries unveiled, the dark past of a cursed school will finally surface.

The Silent Hill 2 formula is lowkey there and I love it.

That part messed me up BAD.
When I watched someone's non-commentary walkthrough of this game recently, I couldn't believe it when the puppets came to life and they could kill you if you didn't hold your breath. The Lantern Specters really creeped me out the most in this game, especially when they stop for a second and bend over you (and smell you I think?) even though you faced away from him while holding your breath. The only jumpscare that really got me in this game was when the light in the hallway went out and didn't come on for a second as you frantically flip the light switch, then it suddenly comes on, and right after that you find out a Lantern Specter is right beside you. It was like a double jumpscare. Then, the part that really terrified me was when the ghost of Instructor Bai was outside of that office pulling and banging on the door while Ray crouched down by the bookshelves. I was really afraid that the spirit would get into the room.

That was my first idea for this video, but there was only a few death scenes and it would be a very short video, so I added all other jumpscary and creepy stuff in this video. I usually don't make videos that would last 60 seconds.
Father oh jeez that's depressing X/... seriously with a horror game this could you'd think the death scenes would be more diverse :/
