I feel like when the fire bird loses it flying abileties it will use its four wings as legs and maybe switch weapons to a even more devestating orbital strike system like the finix base

Yeah I was hoping it would land and go spider mode but I expected it to just die.
I agree, make it land like a spider, but a super fast spider!
I stopped playing this over a year ago and forgot I had it. The amount of updates and improvements made since then is ridiculous and makes for a better play though. I've sank about 4 hours a night over the last week into it. This game is highly underrated. I also enjoy that Experimental Weapons don't spawn until you're level 25, to make for more of a challenge
Imma just come by and give you a like while im at school and watch all your awesome content when i get home

It seems like they laso increased max sensitivity on ps4, which is something ive wanted for like 3 years, so awesome!!!
They should add separate setting per vertical axis. It's a little too fast even at sense 4 or 5. It would be simpler to just add separate sliders to adjust much easier for any player. Having no iron sights on controller (although possibly due to lack of aim assist) is extremely fast AF. I had to put scopes to balance the sensitivity from hip and aim.
They seemingly also removed aim assist, which i personally won't complain about. the magnetism made tracking moving targets a pain, although i expected this to be a toggle rather than just being flat out removed.
@@Gendor64 They should have tested this better. Mouse is no problem. But console. No aim assist I can deal with it. But literally anything higher than 3 is just fast AF. Right now my settings are 5 for looking and ADS is 4. (Down from 9 on both aim and looking)
@@oscarfunez3806 There still is some assist, it's just less extreme than before. i have no problem playing this game on 10 normal and 6 ads sensitivity, then again i played competitive shooters on console for 1000 hours.
@@Gendor64 Shoot. On competitive definitely 11 H-axis and 9 V-axis. Probably the lack aim assist (I don't think there is any. Been checking and there is now slow down at all even in close range. )

Firebird seems like the perfect target for an RPG...
If you can hit it.
So I had a chance to fight two of these earlier before I had to leave for work.
The fire bird seems weak to explosives, but it's a bit hard to hit with rockets while it's zipping around and shooting at you.
It feels like the type of enemy where is you can manage to hit them with an RPG you'll have a high pay off, that's IF you can hit them.
I really hope in the future we get a lock on/homing launcher. Or if they ever Do more experimental weapons, perhaps we get the Russian rpg that locks in to machines. That's an idea
I've only been playing a week but so far this update is so good. The new enemy type adds new danger and bikes now feel good to use

Just an FYI for anyone who has the joängen control point there are multiple firebirds that can spawn close enough to agro the base. I found out the hard way after going afk in my base while I went to the store for a drink. Came back to find my character downed and half the concrete base demolished. So check your bases for firebirds!
so they need to add anti aircraft to the basedefence options... I like it =)

The only thing I dislike is that the plundras carry over between saves, so I have to make a backup to truely start again.
Hey Ben it might not be the best fix but you could always offload your whole plundra to a side character then start a fresh one to have a true "new game", just as a suggestion :)
When I first encountered one of these there were 2 soldier class ones and they both hammered me into a house, they’re so hard to kill, as of now probably the hardest
You have to keep moving - they will damage you in a house. I think it's the blast radius that will go through the walls. But you do need overhead cover. I couldn't take them on in the open, or at least it took me a million med kits.

is it just me or did we get more storage space? or rather did items get lighter? because i could've sworn i was at max capacity for crafting materials always skimming on the 500 line and now i dropped down to 120 without throwing stuff out, and the plundra also became lighter than i remember it being right before this update.

I like the fire birds but there are just waaay too many of them at the moment lol. It's like once you get into or past the farmlands you can't walk across a field without seeing 3 or 4 of them flying around. And their detection is insane. I was underground in a bunker and kept getting put into combat over and over because it was seeing me somehow.
Tene, have you noticed that almost everything that produces Electrolyte has doubled in the requirement for the same recycle - i.e. gives half what it did? Do you think it is a deliberate logistical/looting bottleneck? Radios were the best, but they are a kilo each and now you need ten! Also, the rewards for Assignments don't include Electrolyte.
Just did the update dude.. darn job got in the way though.. 12 hours til i can play again.. gonna be a long day…. But i cant wait..

What's coming is a new DLC we've already known they've been working on two additional DLCs we just have no clue when they'll come out
As I commented before, I believe there will be a drop in electric motor for the bike for ***STEALTH MODE***

Hey tene I don't know if it was my game glitching out or what but, when the Firebird is fighting the Reaper it seems like the Reaper AI breaks and it doesn't do anything. Took down two last night Is relatively easily.
When you use a emp on it it won't fall to the ground it will stay in the air but paralyzed it will stay in the air hope my camera is fix soon
I like the Firebird, it's a good addition in my humble opinion. The splash damage is great, and the rocket balloons when burst en masse feels like the Reaper fire bloom.
I had to solo fight two Firebirds at once already and it was a good challenge. I just wish there was more to this DLC, like a new island unlock, and the dirt bikes should have been free, not DLC.
I've got a dirt bike - I never bought it! You have to find one on a machine, which is exactly what the bikes were originally. So they are free!
@@RO8s are you sure it's a dirt bike and not a colored moped? Because I found a red moped on a bot, the moped comes in three colors but you have to find the colors like we did the bicycles.
@@wiley7198 No, you're quite right - it's a moped! Looks just like the Kasal I had when I was 16! Nice to have it back, I liked that bike. The dirk bikes are bought, but I probably won't bother until I get bored and want something new and then I'll buy the bikes and refuse to fast travel!
with the world and character selection u can either choose ur main character and new world or new character and main world... and the same other way around.....
Did they change the scrap recipe for the big boomboxes? I don't remember them giving electrolytes.

There are some situations where its faster! Other times its to free up the hot bar if i plan on using all slots for weapons/equipment :D

They're farther north from the farmlands on up. With sounds on, you'll start hearing a hum in the sky, this is when you know you're near one. also if there is a harvester or tank near, it'll be fighting against it.

No that just unlocks the extra bikes man, the first bike location is in the beginning of my "completing the missions" video, so just watch up the map location to avoid spoilers its in the first minute of that video :)

I just played the update on console and while I am finding the firebirds to be a cool addition to the machine enemies I can't help but feel like they are too easy. The missions with the update are a little too short as well lol. I had a firebird that had explosive ammo on one and another with a rigged shock detonation upon looting it 😅
Is this a free update or a dlc ?
Flying drones is the recent free update. However motorbikes are not a free dlc. For as much as I run on foot, and just fast travel, thought I would like the motorbikes, but it depends on how far along you're in the game and if you have all fast points unlocked to utilize the motorbikes.
New hud for ammo is a bit crowded imo
Hey, everyone should check their resource stash. I saw nothing in patch notes about lowering material weight, but my resource stash went from 450/500 pre-patch to 120/500 post. Did the devs down low do us a solid on that one or what?

This is the one most amazing thing from the patch.....I stopped playing because I want to keep at least one of each gun and stock pile ammo and could no longer do so because my stash was full!
