Finally! I am glad they aren't overpriced. Thank you for the updates!!
Amazing job guys. So quick! Much appreciated and really looking forward to more reviews of the other trim levels.
@@duvilopez7992 Some dealers already have them.
Thanks for posting this info my friend!!!
As years go by, KIA/ Hyundai keep improving in every department, including their reliability. I recently purchased my wife an LX (gas model-I don’t trust EVs yet!) She’s in love with her Sportage!
I've owned one of these for the past 7 months and all I can say is this vehicle is fantastic. I have a 6 month old and 2 dogs and this SUV is more than capable. I've been a longtime ford fan and this went well over my expectations! Also the price.... Kia is absolutely killing it, I felt like I robbed them.
As someone that sells 3 brands of vehicles in VW, Kia and Mazda, I will say the Sportage is by far the best interior look, as well as the best in terms of warranty of course, however I find both the CX-5 and Tiguan are more fun to drive
@@eastpork653 whats the cx5 or tiguan? Kia aswell or other
@@trollmustard Mazda CX-5, VW Tiguan
@@juggernaut1sterix I hate the tiny screen on the cx-5
@@GrimyGoblinme too. I tried to like it but I just couldn’t
One thing about Kia/Hyundai, they will not make a bland vehicle design.
accurate. even when they do too much, that "catfish grille" Sonata was a mis-step. But otherwise has been working in their favor.
@@twillias4714 I’ve personally seen a lot of them still so I’m guessing they’re selling
@@alexandernipp8951 Record low sales. The DN8 is deemed as a failure for Hyundai so the DN9 which will carry the new family design found on the CN7 Grandeur and Staria as well with the upcoming all new Santa Fe will be launched 3-4 years earlier than expected.
Yesss! love how they style their vehicles🔥 I’m thinking of getting a seltos, k5 or Sorento this summer
They pulled an outlandish Mitsubishi here however
Just when i needed this, y’all delivered. Looking to get one in the fall
One of the very first formal driving reviews of this new Kia Sportage US Spec, you guys are KIA….killing it again🥰🥰🥰Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks, man! Hahaha, we to bring things as fast as we can!
y’all are the first reviewers i’ve seen with this one! always great content 👊🏾
Thanks! 😁
I’ve watching this channel for quite awhile and you guys just get better and better. Seems like you have arrived at a perfect place where your vids are informative yet give a mild and somewhat reserved review. Too many of the other CZcams reviews are horse power oriented and want all vehicles to be sports cars.
Thank you! We appreciate it 😁
That's a great point. We don't all need performance power, but most reviewers are so focused on sporty driving dynamics.
Lol you make the best reviews so I am excited to see this one
Thank you so much for this review and ride!! I'm waiting for this car at the dealer to test drive. I think it's beautiful! I can't wait! I appreciate it!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks 😁
Thx for all the awesome videos .
Thank you for this very informative review. I have been anxiously waiting for someone to test drive the American version. Congrats on being the first! You addressed a question that I had and that was whether or not a self-dimming mirror with HomeLink would be available. We love this new Sportage and plan to buy the PHEV.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
You Guys Are Rock!!!!!! As An Kia / Hyundai Fan Of The 2000's & Newer. This Brand-new Kia Sportage Is Really Awesome Through. Also I Love The Design On This Vehicle As Well. But Excellent Review Bro.
Thanks man!
I love the 2023 Kia Sportage it’s very nice! I love the look and door handles!
😳Wow...I just found my next vehicle. I gotta go test drive one asap. Awesome review 👌🏽
Nice review as always. 👍👍
You guys rock! The 1st to see a review of the new 2023 Kia Sportage from a dealer! I'm in love with it. Innovation is the name with Kia! This is the trim and color I may go for. This or X-Line Pro, just to get that black out feature. I see a lot of awards for this vehicle in the future. Kia/Hyundai/Genesis never cease to amazes me with their new line-up.
Thanks! We appreciate it!
Hey, do you know when they are available? Are they out now?
@@TheJiggs666 yes
I just bought one! I paid about 5k markup and 1.5k warranty on top. so pretty expensive for a KIA
@@frankyng4159 Hey, mark-ups is expensive on any cars. It's expensive for a KIA, Toyota, and Honda!! 😆😆😆
Love the All-New 2023 Kia Sportage and it's really nice 😍😍😍
So glad they put the turn signals back up top and back to amber.
wish they keep it at the bottom
I love this SUV 🔥
Best review so far.
One love from Nigeria 🇳🇬
Thanks man!
Great Review Guys. I am impressed with the interior packaging and design. I agree with you all regarding the front end styling....
Thanks! 😁
I have my 2023 Kia Sportage in everlasting silver. It’s bigger than my 2020 Sportage. The info center is amazing. It’s big and stylish. It’s a good looking car. It has all the bells and whistles you can imagine. Great job Kia!!!
Any issues with this car ??
does the car feel reliable?? has it given you any issues?
I am loving Kia , Hyundai , and genesis rn. Their designs just wow
Were you able to sound test while driving just like you did for telluride review ? BTW, I like your reviews a lot
Awesome video!😸
Thanks! 😁
I just bought one last night and I’m in LOVE!!! So excited!
Congrats on your new Sportage!
How is it going so far? I thinking of buying one.
Great video guys!’n
Thanks!
Picking mine up May 5th!!
Awesome review guys!! But Mason, man that jacket is badass🔥 is that a paid partnership with Bridgestone? Just curious cause that jacket is very nice 💯💯
Thanks! The jacket was given as a gift at a Bridgestone event. You guys will see the video of that coming soon!
My wife and I I saw this at the Chicago Auto show and decided we were going to get one. We bought a white xpro prestige today!! It is so amazing!
Congrats! 👍👍
hey how are you liking the sportage after about a year of driving?
@Dynasty Creed it's still a great car! Drives itself much better now then when new due to updates. I keep it very clean so it still looks brand new. My wife said the other day she can't believe it's been a year because she still likes it so much lol
@@laserbeam1620no auto issues so far? I really want to get it but i heard kias have lots of transmission, motor issues and more
Just got my X-Line Pro Prestege in Wolf Grey and I am OBSESSED!
Big congrats!
@@CarConfections Thank you!
3 months later, how’s it holding up? been thinking about picking one up, but given that it’s a KIA and knowing KIA’s track record, it’s really a hard move to make.
Love that there's no tablet style infotainment system sticking out of the dash
Wow, I think you're the first full review of this model in the US - respect! Really good job with the review.👍
BTW, I can't believe Kia would include wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto on the lower end model, but not on the higher ones. That makes no sense to me. I mean, why even have wireless charging, if you've gotta plug in for connectivity anyway?
So dumb. Makes me mad.
Thanks!
That’s how they all are. Technological limitations beyond Kia. M
Wireless Android Auto on the recent Hyundai rental I had did not work great, I had to reconnect it everyday at least once
@@yellowhammer3 That's interesting to hear. I'm wondering if it's a limitation between the wireless charging & wireless Android Auto. I wish they'd work it out though.
HI5 / Namaste! very nice video buddy!
I love it already
KIA NOW DESIGNS EXCELLENT VEHICLES I LIKE ITS NEW EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR DESIGN
Hi Car Confections Can You Make Same 2022 Toyota Rav4 Trd Off Road
Awesome to see that you guys reviewed it first!! Was waiting too long.
But is there info on what trim level the dual 12.3 in screens become available? (Like the actual 12.3 in digital gauge and not the fake one…although the fake one does look very believable)
Thank you! As a matter fact I can tell you... The full digital gauges come on the SX, SX Prestige, X-Pro and X-Pro Prestige as standard
@@CarConfections Awesome, thank you for the info. Kia really did a great job of pricing these trims. 😌
This is nice! I almost regret ordering the Sorento now. Is this gonna be replacing the Sorento? They have the same trim levels and especially with the hybrid and plug in options just like the Sorento. And then with the telluride I don’t see them really needing to continuing the Sorento for 2023.
it's not as large as the sorento (big point being the sorento seats up to 7 whereas sportage maxes out at 5), and the gap from the sportage to the telluride is a big market KIA wouldn't want to miss out on. i don't see them discontinuing the sorento any time soon.
I bought this car the other day 3/15 man this so much better than my 2020 Sorento. I'm loving it so far!
Congrats on your new Sportage!
How does it differ from the Tuscon, to you guys?
Waiting for the hybrid version :)
i would to know how have you find the suspension system?? i have a ram truck at this moment and i want a vehicule with a good suspension.
The UK/EU Modle GT Line S, top level model, has the rear outer seats, heated...
But, it's not as long as the USA version, it's more compact... But, I believe that the mild hybrid, petrol & diesel + the non plug in hybrid versions here, in UK get better MPG...
Also, with a rotary gear selector 👍👍...
I just purchased this car less than a week ago. I LOVE IT! It is such a cool looking car and the features for the price range is phenomenal. Any other car with the same features easily n could be in the 45 to 50,000 thousand dollar range. I don’t think there is a car that offers all the bells and whistles for less than 35,000 dollars. Best bang for your buck. I almost walked away from it because I wanted it in white like the video. But I decided to go with what they had in grey which also looks sharp. KIA really stepped up their game.
Congrats on your new Sportage!
Me and my wife just bought one of these in the white pearl with the black accents on it and I was looking online and it looks like all the other ones in this model have the all black rims? Do you know anything on that ?
Been waiting for this vehicle but I’m a bit disappointed to have to wait for the hybrid model
I have the 2019 KIA Sportage, I love the Sportage, but would I buy another one? Yes if there’s a big need maybe lease one more than likely.
Yes, it is indeed the king of this segment.
What is the length of the cargo space when the backseats are folded down? Will a 5'8 person be able to sleep inside?
Can you imagine driving a 2023 in February 2022. Damn! I remember the year 2000 was the Future. LOL. The most we had back in 2000 was digital instrument cluster and ABS.
I remember when I got got my first Lexus! It was a 2007 model that I got in July of 2006😁
I just test drove one today, an X-line, it looks, drives, and feels great. And that sunroof is beyond amazing....Nevertheless, at 39K out the door, it becomes a bit pricey. I would get a Sorento at that price point, however, with market adjustments of 6K or more, a Kia, just isn't the car to buy.
Love driving my 2023 Sportage in 2022!
I think these cars are also made in Georgia? We absolutely LOVE ours! Never see them on the road either!
Indeed, for the non-hybrid ones. Congrats on your new Sportage!
Another great review as always. Can't wait for your hybrid review. Debating on Sportage or Tucson??? Thanks guys!
Thanks!
I think the Kia looks better, different than all the others.
Do you know what exterior/interior colors will be available
Maybe it's just me, but providing the actual dimensions of the cargo space would be very helpful. Cubic feet can be a misleading number, I don't want to stack luggage to the ceiling so having more floor space is king.
Did Kia solve engine problems with the 2023 model?
Good information. One thing I wished was more comparisons specify. Example you say class leading rear storage then don't compare. I don't want to have to Google etc why not say Sportage is 39 and rave... Blank.i need to know I carry business supplies. Otherwise great video
Those Nike invincible 2’s hit different huh
I wonder if the 2023 Sorento will get the same gauge cluster
At least the rear turn signals are on the top and NOT on the bumpers.
Wow! Definitely, much better than the Tucson. And as always, Kia is ahead of its sister Hyundai when it comes to tech and equipment.
Another great review. New Kia Sportage looks real good. Can't wait to see a base LX.
Is this considered a mid size or @ compact SUV, Class segments are starting to be blurred??
Compact fool🙄…Sorento is mid-size
@@openranks4519not a fool just because he didn’t know. Compact crossovers are quite big now.
@@openranks4519 where are your manners?
I would call this "small" because it seems bigger than a typical compact SUV.
My next SUV 😍
Thanks Kia for keeping real shifters not stupid knobs or buttons
What kind of shoes are those main reviewer? Please inform
Crazy how these regular cars have more stuff then luxury
How many feet inside from the hatch to the front seat?
We just brought the SX Prestige this week, site unseen. Supposed to get it by the end of the month. I’m disappointed that the only interior color options for the Glacial White Pearl are red or black. Our current 2020 Sportage is Snow white pearl with tan interior, which we love. Has anyone seen the SX Prestige in the Glacial White with all black interior? Do you think there may be more interior color options down the road? We love the exterior new look, but having second thoughts if we should go through with this deal for several reasons too numerus to mention.
Ours is Pearl White, with black leather interior. Red and black looks nice too
Looking to purchasing this car as well, did you ever go through with it or did you end up with a better choice? Hearing mixed reviews. Thanks!
Trying to decide between this and the Seltos. What’s your thoughts and opinions?
Hmmm... Well the Sportage definitely feels like a more substantial and premium vehicle. That being said, Seltos is probably a less controversial design and cost a good deal less. We might have to do a head-to-head comparison some time!
If only the CX-5 has these space numbers I’d be in one already.
The CX50 will have more space and also the CX60
@@Cyberman86 , models above CX-50 will be on expensive side.
Ready to be driven in GTA with a design like that lol
Do POV for interior videos like you used to 👍
We will continue doing it that way, but we had limited time with this model
@@CarConfections Thank you! Love the content overall
Soon as you hit the highway literally my react “😏”
telluride and sorento is really good! This is a little over designed
Honest question (because I'm in the market). Do the engines in these last over time? The car looks amazing, but I'm seeing horror stories all over the internet about Kia's engines exploding or dying after 100,000 miles? My only concern with Kia's is their potential issues down the road. Anyone have experience with this?
Same size as my Tucson hynrid.
The best thing Kia ever did was hire Audis designer
When you do these, you should let us know if they're selling at MSRP. And if you can't "technincally" say, just pan out to the monterey sticker and show us that markup up sticker.
That's going to have to do with the number of them available in your area as well as your specific dealership. A couple months ago when we filmed this, it was marked up about $5,000 as one of the first units in the country
God that interior is better than a BMW. When I saw the exterior I was like yuck, but I think it is worth living with that exterior for that awesome interior. As a four time Kia owner this will probably be my next car.
A lot of ppl saying that Kia falls apart at about 120.000 miles... how long have you had yours, did you have problems?
@@kiramiftari9486 I love the interior of this car but very hesitant to purchase another kia. my 2016 soul catalytic converter has failed even though they have a recall on it! I've been assigned a case manager yet it's been well over two months and I haven't heard anything back and I've called multiple times and the woman seems to now be ignoring my damn calls. oh and mind u I had the recall serviced back in the of summer 2019..im beyond irritated because I didn't even hit the 100k mile mark and if im already having this issue at 90k miles I have a strong feeling by the time I hit 150k miles ill have even more things go down hill
Which is better the hybrid EX1.6L with Turbo AWD or the Xline AWD 2.5 L non turbo?? Can someone help! Thanks!
It depends on your wants and needs. The Turbo will typically have less reliability. Turbos have additonal moving parts and create heat. But, the Hybrid will have more power and better fuel mileage. Personally, I went with the 2.5 L engine. I did a recent 1500 mile trip and got 28.3 MPG. I would expect the mileage to improve in summer when temperatures warm, summer gas blend.
The car drove like a champ on the trip. Speed limits as high as 80 MPH. Really like it. Mine is the USA SX Prestige trim level.
Do you guys have any clue that Kia will bring brown/orange interior to the US? That color is super stunning!!!
Not sure yet... Kia hasn't released the full color list to the media yet
Not feeling it at allllll, when will the 2023 hyundai tuscon come out???
I just bought the hybrid SX Prestige in snow ❄️ white pearl w/ black interior. Had to locate and pay 2k dealer markup. It’s being delivered on 7/15.
Originally they wanted 3k but they lowered upon request. Super nervous they will give it away as they said they didn’t need to charge my card the usual 1k deposit. We’ll see. Just to note I test drove the Cx50 Mazda and NX350 Lexus and still wanted the Kia.
can we get an update on how you’re liking the sportage & how’s it holding up if you winded up getting it? been thinking of getting one myself.
Does the SX Prestige come with folding mirrors? Hard to find out.
It does not
The steering wheel and the shifter come right out of the Soul
Shifter looks like the one in the Stinger
anyone wanna buy a 2020 SXT turbo w less than 20K miles 😎😎
Kia finally made the rear side glass, the C-D pillar, actually in the body not on the door!! I think it was the only SUV w the rear “vent” glass in door not side body.
Yeah, you can forget about those MSRP prices. Dealers are charging sometimes 4000, 5000 and 6000 dollars over MSRP to buy one. Suggest to a dealer you'll buy at MSRP and they'll laugh you out of the dealership.
Is this a good everyday car?
What do you guys think about the 2022 Nissan Rogue? Can we expect a review on that anytime soon?
Yes, we're keeping an eye out for one of them to review soon
Guy Can you do a comparison between Kia Sportage 2023 vs Mazda CX50?
Good idea, we might be able to do that!
Do the mirrors not fold anymore
This new Sportage model looks too big to be called "compact"; the previous model, yes, but not this one. This 2023 model should be in the medium-size category because it has grown in length and width quite a bit.
Which is a great thing!!
Crazy awesome looking SUV. I own a Tucson. I’m curious how this compares to the newest Hyundai Tucson?
Similar in many ways but also very different in many ways. We look forward to doing an entire comparison video in the future
I have one. It’s an ok car. Got about 24k miles on it
I’m trading my K5 in for this
I just purchased this SUV..I LOVE IT I just had a clear bra put on to protect the entire car...great body protection!!!
Where is the cabin noise check ?
Air ball in the front end??? Are you kidding? This car looks better than 90% of other vehicles
I agree. And it drives so nice.
The front end is a definite improvement from this last generation Sportages, but neither are as cool as the one that they started using in 2011. (I have a 2012 and love my Sportage!) Getting me to trade it in will be difficult. They need more options for AWD models than is being offered so far. Hate the tiny and only available in black wheels on the 2 top level models… Also, where the hell did the wonderful cargo tray go? I loved being able to store all my tools, scraper, gloves etc. under the cargo deck over the top of the spare. 😢
A SX Prestige model with AWD would be great too.
“But neither are as cool as the one that they started using in 2011”-Said by exactly one person that I (now) know of. 😂
Why would I buy a normally aspirated Sportage approaching $35000. when I could buy the Tucson with the convenience package for the same. Can anyone beat the Mazda CX 5 AWD for $30000? But the real dealbreaker now for me on the Sportgage is the american assembly. Wait till the hybrid appears and it will very likely be built in Korea just like the Tucson hybrid.
