Is it absolutely necessary to have a walking foot? I'm in love with your new fabrics - that's my favorite color pallet as well. Can't wait to check out the kits. Thanks so much for the free patterns and videos. You're the BEST ! !
Yes! A walking foot has feed dogs on the top that help move the fabric together at an even pace. So you need it any time you sew three or more layers of fabric together, like quilting or sewing binding on or it will bunch together.
