Hamantaschen short step by step tutorial, from grinding poppy seeds to shaping a beautiful triangle

    🎭 Dough Ingredients:
    ▪️2 cups all purpose flour
    ▪️1/2 tsp of baking powder
    ▪️1/2 cup of sugar
    ▪️1 1/4 sticks of soft butter
    ▪️1 egg
    ▪️1 tbsp cold water (if dough too dry)
    🎭 Poppy Filling Ingredients:
    ▪️1 1/2 cups ground poppy seeds (buy ground or use a spice blender, don’t over grind, I used 2 regular size poppyseed shaker containers from the supermarket)
    ▪️1/2 cup of milk
    ▪️1/3 cup of sugar
    ▪️2 tablespoons of honey
    ▪️1/2 stick of butter
    ▪️1/3 cup of raisins
    ▪️1/3 cup of chopped walnuts /almonds
    ▪️1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
    ▪️1 tablespoon grated orange peel
    ▪️1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    🎭 Dough:
    1. In a large bowl mix all dough ingredients until incorporated, no mixer needed, if a bit dry, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of cold water. Place dough in a bag and put in the fridge for about an hour.
    2. Take out the dough from the fridge and roll it between two baking sheets, making a flat thin layer.
    3. Create 3 inch circles or hexagons, placed the filling in the center and fold in the three ends to create a triangle.
    4. Bake hamantaschen at 365°F for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Ready when golden brown.
    Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top.
    🎭 Poppy filling:
    1. In a small sauce pan, bring to a simmer milk, butter, and sugar.
    2. Add ground poppyseeds and stir until fully incorporated add the rest of the ingredients stirring occasionally.
    3. after about three minutes leave out to cool for about an hour, the mixture may look thin, but it will harden.
