You are right. They just don't make batteries like they use too. Use to batteries would last 10 years and cost $50, now you are lucky if they last 2 years and they cost $200
HEY BOSS!! I was wondering how you got the GPS globes to work still. I thought john deere fully discontinued the ITC mapping and autosteer in 2021. is that agri deal you were talking about that manipulates the globe is that how you get them to work? lol I was like you when I first started farming on my own in 2014. I didn't want autosteer at all thought it ruined you as a farmer. Once I got it with my new 16 row planter I don't know how I did it with out autosteer. IT WAS A PAIN SETTING UP MY 4850 TRACTOR TO BE FULLY AUTOSTEER READY!! EVEN HAS THE STEERING THROUGH THE HYDRAULICS!! I have to have autosteer now because that new planter has no markers and has to have mapping for the Hydraulic drives to work. Anyways I love your videos!!! I'm a 26 year old farmer. Farming 7th generation ground here in southwest Nebraska! I really love your videos!!! love getting to see how much different things you do down there than we do up here! Btw I run an almost identical combine to yours! Its a 2006 John deere 9560 sts running a 630 flex head!! KEEP UP THE GREAT CONTENT!!!

The Starfire ITC will only map. They cancelled the satellite service that make the auto steer work. You have to upgrade to a newer receiver to make it work plus pay for the subscriptions. Greenstar is nice but it is EXPENSIVE. what I like about it is yield data.
@@dionwadefarmsllc the data can really help us improve yields but there is a point that the cost is not worth it. I priced a display and SF3000 at $13000. Form my farm it’s not worth it. Keep hammering on!
