I forget exactly. I haven’t worked on one in over a year. It either runs to the turbo water jacket or the oil cooler. There are a bunch of variations of that engine, so it could be anything.

using the old coolant is not a good idea.. you can see from the deposits in the pump housing that ist was over due for a change
I agree, but I didn’t have any extra coolant and the stuff is expensive so when I would ask for extra I would get one gallon at a time.
