Finally there's one of these little SDR rigs I can see using myself. I want one!

Thanks for sharing Gary… I’ve been using one of these for around 3/4 months (a used one originally supplied to a local operator by yourselves) and even though I have other HF radios I always go back to this it’s a really intuitive standalone radio as well as the full blown SDR via the PC and it’s multiple features . The build quality is excellent externally and internally and whilst you can just switch it on and play it’s also one which will allow you to explore and have lots of fun. I’m still an M7 but have made lots of contacts on what is generally up to around 7-8w output. The receiver is excellent and a match for the Icom 7300 for sure. The Elad SW2 software as you indicate is very good and I’ve also used with SDR Console also free and compliments the Elad FDM Duo really well. The one I have is now just over 6 years old (so Franco from Elad informed me) and in my humble opinion is a very current radio which has that nostalgic quality about it. I own a 705 and an X6100 and used an FT818 for a bit but I really enjoy using this radio mainly in standalone mode. The support group you mentioned is excellent also having only contacted them twice Elad in Italy appear really straightforward and easy to deal with. Appreciate there are always detractors who may have had the odd problem but that’s part of the fun isn’t it… as for me I’m definitely a promoter and will eventually get that Ferrari red version to brighten up the radio room (not allowed to call it a shack). Keep the content coming it’s great stuff.

Thanks, Gary. I bought one of these from you back in 2015 or 2016 (MLS red edition!). Been using it ever since - great piece of kit! 73 Clint M0OXF

It would be nice to see what the inside looks like for a $1000.00+ transceiver!!!

Well Gary you've sold the idea of acquiring to me one but I've since read about QC issues like wobbly knobs particularly the tuning knob. These comments were somewhat historic so I wonder if they've been resolved now.

Moin Martin, thanks for introducing this beautiful TRX. I miss FM on 10m and 6m. And 6m only covers the range from 50MHz to 51MHz?
